  1. I don't know why, but on the ground, I always look at coasters to be SMALLER than they actually are. This always applys to me for B&M hypers, where on the ground 200ft looks like 75ft.
  2. I am going to the park on July 6th, and I was wondering, I most likely have only one day to go, and this question only applies if there is a soft opening for Diagon Alley, but, should I go to IOA, Uni, or both in one day? I was thinking that one day definintly isn't enough to experience both parks, even if I'm only hitting the major rides like River Adventure, Hulk, Gringotts, etc. So, unless I can go over two days I'm stuck trying to decide which park to go to or even if I could have enough time to go through both in one day.
  3. Will there be a soft opening before the opening on July 8th? I have an opening of July 5th to 7th to go to the park, so I'm wondering if I have the chance to experience Diagon Alley and all the new things around it.
  4. I distinctly remember someone recently advertising this same channel in another thread. I also notice that your TPR username is the same as the youtube account in question. It may be a coincidence, i'm just stating what I noticed.
  5. So I went today, it was a perfect day, while it was overcast for some of it, and it did drizzle a couple times, everything was a walk on. I stopped by Hurricane Harbor for a bit, and it's actually a really great water park for what it is! I wouldn't spend an entire day there, but it's good for a couple hours. The slides were really fun, especially Tsunami Surge, and the wave pool makes some suprisingly high waves, and the most suprising thing about the water park was its themeing, which was really good! Not Universal or Disney standards, but really good for Six Flags. We got there by 2, and spend a couple hours in Hurricane Harbor, I was with my family, so I didn't go on many big things as I had to stick with them for most of it, but I was able to stray away for a ride on Goliath and Batman. Scorecard: Tsunami Surge - 2x Bonzai Pipelines - 2x each GASM - 1x Cyclone - 2x B:TR - 1x Goliath - 1x As a side note, my Brother and Sister were riding SkyScreamer (I had opted out to take a look at Hurricane Harbor) and as soon as they were getting on, I came back, and was able to see them at the top slowing down to a halt. The ride ops had no idea what was going on, and I thought it was going to be a repeat of Windseeker at Knott's. But 5 minutes later technical staff arrived and were able to bring them back down.
  6. Theme Park Studio will have Oculus Rift support.
  7. Sorry for double posting, but, I will be going to the park either tomorrow or the day after, and i'll report back how Hurricane Harbor is!
  8. A Friday in June won't be TOO bad, but I recommend doing this: Get to the park early, at most an hour after opening, as later on the crowds will definintly get heavy. Rush to the USA section and get on Goliath and get the DDD credit, as both these rides get HUGE lines later on, then go to the nearby Gotham City and get the Batman and Mindbender credits. After that book it to the back of the park if you want to get on S:UF and GASM, skip Ninja unless you REALLY want to go on it, go on S:UF first, as that one gets big crowds later in the day, as the crowd starts to come through, go to the water park, and enjoy that area, once you're done there, the park should be a little more crowded than before, or less, depending on how long you stayed, but it shouldn't matter, as the rest of the rides don't get long lines at any point of the day, go on Schorcher, Cyclone, Mine Train, and Canyon Blaster in any order you want. Once that's done the park is close enough to closing that the lines shouldn't be that long, and you can just do whatever you feel like. That's always how I approached the park in summer, and it seems to work. A few reccomendations are to not get in a wheel seat on GASM, seat in the front row on DDD, depending on how early you get there, repeat Mindbender a few times, as that ride is amazing, ride Cyclone front row last car, and tell me how the trip went. Also, literally the cheapest way to get normal tickets is to buy a coke can in Georgia and cash it in at the park, or to buy them online. Hope you have a good time!
  9. Chat can be so funny at times. In other news, I can't find the herskeypark thread, the closest I can get is the Hersheypark thread, any insight on this?
  10. Any ideas of what might be going in 'Cuda Falls' spot? A 600ft spinning coaster, called Tony Hawk's REALLY Big Spin, meant to be the new tallest coaster in the world for 2017. Just kidding.
  11. Since I want to have the best possible experience for my upcoming trip, and being a newbie to Busch Gardens, over the next few weeks i'll be pelting this thread with questions. With that in mind, I have a question to ask, what do you think the lines will be like on a weekday in Late June/Early July for most of the major rides (SheiKra, Kumba, Montu, Cheetah Hunt)?
  12. I have an idea, one side could be named Yo, and the other side could be named lo, and the entire ride would be called Yolo Colossus.
  13. Now has been absoloutely confirmed, the actual coaster building and ride is called SkyScraper, and it will be in a new complex called SkyPlex, which will have Mango's Tropical Cafe across the street, the coaster and complex will open in 2016. Pictures: (all by or posted through TPR's twitter page)
  14. 9 SIGNATURES!!! Holy cow this petition is picking up steam boys. -Andrew LMAO......Maybe they need to have a rally somewhere to draw more interest. All nine of them! I dunno I feel kinda sorry for them, maybe we need to preserve what used to be one of the fasted coasters of the world. (yes, that mistake was actually from the article)
  15. I live 45 mins away from SFOG.
  16. Even during Fright Fest Sundays at SFGAdv are not crowded at all, so I think a sunday in June will be an amazing day to go.
  17. So, i' going to Busch Gardens in late June/early July, and i've been wondering, exactly how bad is Gwazi?
  18. I'm going to Busch Gardens in late June/Early July, and what i've been worrying about most of the time is how bad Gwazi will be, as while i've heard it's rough I still want to ride it. That worry has seeped into my dreams apparantly, as last night my dream was where I was going to ride Gwazi, but it had these weird restrains that are hard to explain, but once the ride started the restraints just sorta magically turned into normal Millenium Flyer restraints and the layout (from what I remember of the dream) was pretty accurate, and so long as I kept my back away from the seat the ride wasn't bad at all.
  19. One of the comments on the TPR Olympia Looping POV
  20. This is like if Arrow and Intamin had a baby! Looks awesome, can't wait to hear how it is from people here!
  21. Thinks Goliath is meh and GASM is horrible, yet says DDD, Cyclone, and Ninja are awesome. Get out. You must've ridden GASM in the wrong seat, it is amazing in a non-wheel seat, and even in a wheel seat, it's better than Cyclone. I don't even get why Goliath is meh compared to DDD, did you get them mixed up or something? Ninja is sorta understandable considering you were in the magic seat. In other news, the new wave pool has just wet itself.
