  1. Yes, I'm also surprised you have ridden it and say that...because it seems slow but it really is moving pretty quick into the final brakes. It's kind of deceiving on ride I'll admit. As for Skyrush being short...it is buuuut gotta be realistic, it's amazing Hershey crammed that ride in at all. Really can't be any longer even if we wanted, and we all do.
  2. IDK if trains have much to do with it but from POVs I see that every hill is trimmed! Quite heavily at times. Was Revolution always like this? Looks like it would be a fun ride without, but just is really slow now. Also call me a silly bastard but I have a feeling the ride was designed to keep you held in perfectly safely without real issue...I know crazy
  3. Difference between Silver Star and Shambhala being SS is trimmed to death on pretty much every hill...while Shambhala can actually move! Again, I think it looks awesome and probably better than Leviathan (though ridden neither so can't really judge) Huzzah for force! Glad people still do like intense, forceful rides...seems the more vocal people on forums always complain about rides being too intense...
  4. I share that question ^ And yeah I figured the mega lites are forceful/packed with airtime. It's not size and speed per se, but how they relate to each other. I have faith in Mitch and my fellow enthusiasts...just have to accept I'm in a small minority that finds MForce epic I305 would totally own if it wasnt for the last part, which isn't that bad but still. Wish they'd un-trim the hill and smooth out the remainder.
  5. Yeah Skyrush! Wow MForce all the way out of the top 10 now. Shame, I know its the enthusiast thing to hate on it but IDK if 14 is worthy, but the populace has spoken. Guess everything is as expected though Shambhala was a shock. I thought it'd be high, looks awesome, but not that high! Also I was surprised that everyone who's ridden had Leviathan in their top 10...but this seems to reflect it better. Are the mega lites really that great? Sure they are fun, but would any of you really say that they are deserving of such high spots? Maybe they are crazy forceful and it doesn't show on POV
  6. Thanks Robb Same, curious about Skyrush, Leviathan and Shambhala (Which I guess didn't even register on GTA : / )
  7. Flying a drone type device over the park to take live vids of it? Technology is a ridiculously awesome thing
  8. 14 is just a tad odd feeling though, I'd like them to make it 15. Now 15 is a nice feeling number. Also the thought of a 14 or + inversion coaster really makes me want to get to England more than I already do. Someday...
  9. I never have found anyone who's ridden Formula Rossa, thank goodness for TPR! I've wondered, how good is that ride exactly? Launch must be insane, but then it's slowed down to 65 (I believe) and the ride looks really long and drawn out. Like it should be smaller or traveling faster. So how is it TPR?
  10. WHAT!? And I said this would break the record with 12...more like blowing it out of the water!
  11. Glad I'm not alone. As for Corkscrew and Iron Dragon...well for a nostlagia point I'd be kinda sad, especially corkscrew because of its history...but what can ya say? That's progress, they are old, not very good or popular I'd imagine. Hope Corkscrew stays just because of its rumble over the walkway though! Gatekeeper complete! So stoked to go to CP this year!
  12. LOL So there's more than just an empty dirt space now! You guys weren't kidding...all the other 2013 rides either complete, or making great progress and here track has finally started to be placed.... oh six flags
  13. Awesome. Still can't believe that thing has been fit into the park.
  14. Any ball park ideas on how long it usually takes to tabulate the results? So excited!
  15. Nah most of my "GP" friends think SF:GA is a dump, with some good rides, and the park has gone about 97% downhill from 10 years ago. Especially how its a giant concrete slab with some rides on it, that's it. Seems SF:MM is the same from all I've heard. Shame, always wanted to go and now that I will on WCB sounds like it's kinda sucky. Buuuut has a ton of coasters! I plan to ride Viper once, to do it, then most likely sit for 20 minutes after some advil Im sure it's about the same pain as Great American Scream Machine, which sucked!
  16. Hmmmm most likely the Trailblazer at Hershey, can't imagine anything earlier. Great American Scream Machine at SF:GA was my first major...my first with many loops. As a kid maybe I was too small to notice, but it was fun! As I got older it just became a pain machine. Currently at the bottom of my steel list! Awful one.
  17. Exactly! I don't know why enthusiasts would be so opposed to the idea of fast passes when it really saves a lot of money in contrast to going two days instead of one. "But people cut in front of me in line and I don't feel like paying extra!" On rides such as Raptor, even on a busy day, they let like 150 an hour through, which is only 5 or 6 trains on raptor. That's like an extra 5 minutes per hour. That's not that bad! There are rides without fast lane, though. Ride those first! They're kind of the less popular rides so there's never a line in the morning. Then you have all day to use fast lane and ride everything even faster! Yeah, Raptor has always been my most difficult ride. Think I've done it twice in the the total of 10 times I've been there, 2 days each visit! With Gatekeeper Any hope of it without fast pass is gunna be impossible Indeed, I used to think it not worth it/arrogant buuuut I was a poor college kid then. Now I realize its just 50 bucks and is worth it, since the alternative is hundreds of more dollars for a second day! I'm planning on mid August....earlier than I usually go but hopefully won't be toooo bad still. Never seen TPR signs at a park...but I've never looked! Would be crazy to see one of you randomly
  18. Did always find Hades station area pretty odd. Starts really high and has the long intro section, but the brakes are even higher and there's that small drop from them into the station. Reminds me of RCT when I screwed up and made craziness to make it work haha
  19. Thanks guys, deff gunna do it online. Just way worry about the hassle and running out? 1st time getting fast lane, but will be my 6th time to the Point! Must say...is kinda nice being older now and I can just go without needing to make a family vacation of it! 3 years in a row it'll be Never been there during the summer but I imagine crowds will be huge. Which is why I always go early/late season. In May/Late August crowds really aren't too bad, least all the times I've been there. Exception being big rides, which always have like 2 hours. Besides that, can get most done in a day. I used to be opposed to fast pass, but honestly....I just never had money and when you're coming from 8 hours away and can't take off too much work...it'll be nice to do everything in one day opposed to two.
  20. Thanks! This was a ton of help. Yeah, last year we did 2 days and the rest of em fizzled out by noon on Day 2, and are quite impatient. 30 mins is their acceptable limite and 45 tops So I suggested one day, but with fast passes if worth it, and souns like it certainly is. Especially since the big ones were always swamped...we ended up riding the mine ride, slow car drives, and Blue Streak endlessly!
  21. So I'm going in August with some buds, we've never gotten fast passes at CP before so I have some n00b questions. I understand prices aren't out yet, but how was it in the past? Is it $50 for a group of 4, or $50 each...for a group of 4? Also how does it work? A set amount of rides, 20 I'll say, that you can choose to spend how you want on eligible rides? Can it be purchased online? Edit: I hope it roars, doesn't feel right without it!
  22. I do miss Laser Like I said, Steel Force is fun, if you enjoy sense of speed like I do, and its a great intro coaster but isn't high on the list at all. I guess this is underrated, maybe under known? but Ride of Steel at Darien Lake/SFA is great. A little uninspired and nothing too intense but its fast as hell, smooth, and has good airtime. Really fun ride.
  23. I've been on way too few SooperDooperLooper Doesn't pack quite the same punch as years ago, but that loop is still damn forceful!
  24. Apollo's Chariot or Batman the Ride at Great Adventure. Both in 1999 but I forget which was first.
  25. It's fine, havn't ridden in years so IDK if I've seen the retrack but best in park?? You trippin! Ironically, I'd say many in that park are underrated. Hydra seems to be pretty disliked. If you think its dull OK but I hate how the roll is = Satan apparently. Its a fun unique ride! Talon is a pretty good B&M invert, and Steel Force isn't great but that makes it a joke to many enthusiasts....its fun and a good starter coaster for n00bs.
