  1. Yes single rider saved me a few times. Griffon went from hour wait to 10 minutes for me. Apollo’s Chariot I waited 15 opposed to idk but was looooong. Yup when I was waiting for Pantheon to hopefully open someone said it went down around 1. Oof hate when a preconceived belief comes true...intamin, a switch track, I worried it would have downtime issues. And yeah I was quite disappointed it’s not some horrible drive for me but it is a good 5 1/2 hours from where I live I’m not exactly a hop skip and a jump away but I can easily go sometime in the future. Yes, The park was so nice and I was pleasantly surprised at the strength of its lineup that I still really enjoyed my day.
  2. I quite like the rides, though I totally get why some wouldn't. Unrelated, going to KD today, realized that when I checked my Platinum Pass renewal email I had nothing to print, not even a bar code to scan just "its active" I do see no date is on the pass itself. Do I simply just provide the pass at the park and all is good? (with photo ID ofc)
  3. Weather was indeed perfect. Couldn't have been better, if anything got too warm! Was a good day. I got to Pantheon I think 4th train of the day, was fun but won't lie a tad less than expected. Was expecting a little more punch to it. Good speed and everything about it was good guess just expected a bit more. Line was already mammoth when I got off so I figured I'll give it some time to warm up, I'll try to do all the rest of the park, and deal with whatever wait is needed to ride Pantheon for a long while. Well, by the time I got back to it Pantheon was down, apparently it went down around 1/1:30 and it remained so all day Even took a break from the heat and waited near the station for 2 hours but no luck. They could get two tests in before some "error" kept coming up. Very unfortunate, but what can ya do? Was able to get more rides of others at least. Speaking of: -Tempesto: Very fun I love these rides but ofc knew what to expect. -Apollo's Chariot: Better than expected. Not mind blowing but fun and the air was just enough -Alpengeist: Wow, why do I not hear of this one much? This was sick, VERY forceful and intense, long ride. Didn't find it rough, though from the ride itself was a little jarring, 2 rides was plenty. -Griffon: Deff the best B&M dive I've done and honestly pretty solid. -Verbolten: which I realize was my 200th coaster! This is surprisingly fun, I did not expect this ride to be so good. -Loch Ness Monster: I mean....yeah.... iconic, helluva sight, but well, it's not the worst arrow looper out there I guess I can say -InvadR: So this was late in the day, 8:15ish and front row so maybe that all helped but this was shockingly fun. Good whip and some very solid air. A little bummed but overall very good day
  4. Well tomorrow is my first visit to BGW in 21 years After some dodgy parts driving down here, looks like tomorrow is totally clear, in the 70s, pay day is tomm in case I last second decide for a past pass. Life is good and I'm stoked!
  5. Well that's a relief. Also looking at both part ticket prices and fast pass prices I'm thinking it was wise to do the park on Friday (though it's Good Friday) rather than the weekend. Wasn't sure if this is really a travel holiday or even one most people get off....I never have before this year. So hoping for a not too packed day! Excited not just for Pantheon but I've not been here in over 20 years Big Bad Wolf was still around as was Drachen Fire SBNO. Needless to say I've missed a few things.
  6. ....Has Griffon been down? I sure hope not, I just bought my tickets, booked places, etc I'll be here April 15.
  7. Awesome! Seems like there is a while to go and tis already April, so I kind wonder if this will get open this year. I'm sure it will but maybe not till later in the season? Though I've been caught off guard before when a ride looks like a while to go then gets rapidly built. Regardless, patiently awaiting so I can book tickets for an Atlanta weekend lol I love the quality coasters (in this case possibly top tier) coming to so many small parks!
  8. Given the day that it is...I refuse to give this any credence, which makes me sad because that looks damn awesome. I hope this turns out to be real lol EDIT: Seems it's legit damn. With that layout even if it's got decent speed could pack some punch. Already excited for 2023!
  9. lol $29 for an indoor Ferris Wheel and they still have Sandy's on "annual maintenance" which by this point is basically SBNO XD
  10. .....this place, getting a pretty dope looking shuttle and now a tilt coaster? This has to be the wildest thing ever lol
  11. Yes I've been oddly intrigued by this ride, though oof that it seems pieces are only just arriving. IDK s**t about construction and engineering so maybe wrong but I figured it's location would make it a hard build.
  12. So it's settled I will be going Good Friday weekend, probably Friday the 15th itself. Taking a gamble, not sure how many people get this day off....tbh this is the first job I've ever had where I do and not sure I did for school etc so I'm hoping it will be not jammed. Not sure if anyone has any experience with this situation, but if anyone has been to this park on Good Friday lemme know lol Just to be safe I'll look into fast pass.
  13. Indeed. It depends how forceful the ride is (I assume not very much at all) but its more compact and less hitting a wall lol nature has me thinking it could be better than the big ones. We shall see!
  14. Hmmm I assumed it was just enthusiasts doing their usual silly crap but screamscape? Haven't they sometimes been right? Granted they may be wrong more often lol can't say I really follow em. Well I hope Kumba is going nowhere, still a damn fantastic ride and I was shocked it wasn't really that rough at all even in like 2018. I'll be getting a few rides when I go regardless, which is a bit over a month from now!
  15. Think it looks pretty cool. It doesn't kill all its speed by barreling into a MCBR after an element so yeah seems better than lots of the big ones tbh Have no idea how it feels but I did kind of hope the smaller layout would a tad more forceful. Can't tell from a POV but yeah looks fun! I won't bother griping about vests since I know that is just the standard now but tis a damn shame still.
  16. *takes peek* yeah no not even gunna dip my foot into that shitfest but deff odd news. Won't lie I really won't be surprised if it never opens again and forget insurance and what CEOs said or didnt or whatever......the downtime for this ride has always been legendary and it seems getting worse again in recent years. Last two visits I think I saw TTD barely operating or once not at all for the day. This accident may itself be just that but in the big picture of the mess this ride is, yeah who knows. Perhaps they are indeed changing the queue though not sure that needs a full year? Whatever safety things are needed go for it but that aside yeah this ride's future prob is limited now even if it does reopen in 2023. It's been so long I can't believe there's people who haven't ridden but I know there are, would feel sad for them. Like my brother never has and sadly he only been on KK which left him wanting to die lol
  17. To be clear didnt say they hid it, (and this is the internet so I know we always have to spell everything out lol) no, never felt they hid it... quite opposite when I asked that person for the cost they volunteered that info to me without me even asking about em, which very glad bc saved me quite a pretty penny! Good customer service right there. It my fault for assuming....bc yeah why wouldn't they include those two?? But deff lesson learned for the future. Eh I plan plenty for trips that's the only reason, besides news, I hang around this place One time I goofed, what can ya do? I was mostly curious about the single rider thing....it seems it usually is open so just odd it wasn't, I wondered if they would find it unfair on such a busy day, but some of yall seem to think it may not have done much. Ah well, lessons learned as I said no idea what I was thinking going when I did anyway. I blame the VC hype lol Edit: was a good ride though, deff will see if my schedule will allow a visit later in the year, on a less crowded day
  18. Not sure to be honest, it was around that time. It wasn't that bad today, not sure I'd say "rough" but had moments (not extreme though). Made me wonder if the retrack is starting to wear off, or maybe just the day. Still loved it. The layout is so unique and the whole first part still gets me.
  19. I have no nothing to blame but myself for this: Holy hell the park was jammed today. Not sure why I broke my own advice of not going on prime days...guess the VC hype was too strong and clouded my judgement! I expected it to be bad, though for some reason they had the single rider line closed on VC (and Hagrid's)! I figured ugh...make us buy the fast pass but the guy selling em told me those two are not included on it!! Sooooo that was very weird, and sadly I did a lot of waiting today. That said, my fault for going today! Anywho, not much to note so I'll keep it to the main points: Hulk - 5 years ago it was crazy rough, like savage, 2/3 years ago it was perfectly fine. Today....kinda rough. Soooo not sure what to make of that lol still a great ride though. Forgot how much I love that first half. Hagrid's - Surprisingly good! I really expected this would be fine as a ride...and a fun overall experience. The ride itself was shockingly good, I had a smile the whole time! Not sure why I liked it so much, I think it was the constant pulses...just adds a real sense of speed (though its not super fast ofc) and its just fun. It also went through all the elements just quick enough imo not so much to be whippy or have airtime but enough you notice. Great ride! VC - Of course this was my priority. Got 4 rides (which took up a lot of my day but I had to) and it was damn good. Now....not sure I'm with the hype train 100% This is not making my top 10, maybe not top 15 (deff not a rival for top spot) and actually my first ride was a tad underwhelming. However, once warmed up this thing was sick. First half was great, deff more intense and forceful than I expected, good airtime pop and whippy moment or two, the second half was of course the star...nasty airtime in back coming off the top hat, the whole sweeping part was cool and the wave turn hit harder than expected, good thing bc the stall I thought was a bit underwhelming, and that roll is wild. No bad element or part of this ride and straddles the line of crazy. IMO step down from Maverick intensity but longer and a better layout. Great ride, top 20 steel maybe 15 (let's see year's end) clear best coaster in Orlando and for now best in FL but Iron Gwazi will probably have a word about that. EDIT: If anyone knows if this experience is common please let me know. I was surprised they had the single rider line closed and I couldn't believe VC (and Hagrid's) were not on fast pass! Is this the norm?
  20. Whoa...had no idea any of this happened. Saw new posts figured oh maybe update on that new coaster and yikes what a sad story : ( Literally catching up on much as I can now so apologies for missing anything but reading the report, I can't fathom how this would happen. Guess a line could be made on how much is op negligence or park for lack of proper training and whos more to blame etc but seems like both. Just wow, tragic. Also should it be noted people negligence while understood its an accident, CAN be criminal. Like theres tragic accidents but then ones that really dindt need to happen and would presumably have been avoided if not for negligence. Seems like this is the case. They also are pretty hard to prove and I got no clue what protections parks may have on this type of thing. All I will say is very very sad story.
  21. Sadly not. This is how it is on Valravn and from what I know, all B&M dives now. It's a damn shame because it takes away some from the drop. I greatly prefer Sheikra to Valravn because you feel more on the drop with the normal OTSR. Sucks, and makes 0 sense bc there's no need for em
  22. I have thankfully set aside extra $!
  23. That is kinda what I figured, it is Orlando after all. And yes, Monday the 21st the Holiday.... not what I would prefer but its how things shook out.
  24. What type of crowds can be expected on a Monday in Feb? I have to imagine not much...but ya know it is Orlando, and well I'm not used to parks being open this time at all lol My FL trip has worked out that I do indeed have a free Monday, and since I'll be going to Universal on Tuesday might as well get Ice Breaker in too (and Manta and Mako)
  25. Yesssss did my one POV, thank you Robb, and that is it until I go in April So stoked
