  1. Thanks. I might actually break down and get a Twitter account. It seems like I'm missing out on a lot of information.
  2. Wasn't construction scheduled to start going vertical yesterday? Any updates?
  3. I have a guy in my bathroom right now installing a new shower. He's here, and I wouldn't mind a new sink. I can have him put in a sink at a significant discount, since he's already here and has the tools on site. But, it's still more money when I have a perfectly good working sink. If this were Cedar Fair or another park I could see them using your logic. However, this is Six Flags. Six Flags has a pretty tight budget for parks like ours. Six Flags is going to save as much money as they possibly can. We also don't know what the future holds for that area and maybe redesigning the queue with the new addition won't make sense long term. It will be nice if it happens. But, it probably won't.
  4. You're still talking about completely unnecessary dollars and cents. Just because the cost of redesigning and building a queue isn't nearly as much as building a major addition doesn't mean that it won't cost a lot of money. You're talking about tens of thousands of dollars and a lot of planning. I can't have a small one foot high deck built at my house for less than a few thousand dollars.
  5. No one knows what future plans Six Flags STL has in store for the area. Maybe it wouldn't make sense to change it now. I'd rather have the park spend that money on general maintenance and improvements. It may seem like chump change looking from the outside in, but you're still talking about a shit load of money to demolish the old queue and build a new one. That, and we're talking about the park that won't spend the money to upgrade the iconic Screamin' Eagle's queue or change the visible dilapidated roof.
  6. On Diamondback one idiot tried to hold on to her sandals. I watched them fling upward out of her hands on the first airtime hill. I rode the Screamin' Eagle and some obnoxious kid behind me kept yelling, "This ride trash! This ride trash!" Last, but not least, I was in the station for The Boss when I watched piss discreetly leak down a girl's leg and form a large puddle. My wife and I were the only people to notice. That was truly a "Six Flags Day."
  7. I took her comments as being sarcastic and I hope they were just that. But, I'm pretty much a sarcastic asshole, so it translates well with me. Either way, don't steal...
  8. I'd skip the tolls and change your plan to two days only in order to get FLP. Let's say that even if the park is not that crowded it will make every ride walk-on.
  9. I'd rather get that new trash can that the fights breaking out attraction.
  10. Have fun. I hope it lives up to your expectations. Fast lane plus.
  11. It started as someone's harmless "I doubt it would happen, but wouldn't it be cool if..." into more serious consideration and speculation.
  12. This guy has upper management written all over him. What kind of ride?
  13. catch a ride or two = drink a beer or two I should have hit you up when we came to town this last time, but the trip was kind of last minute. When were you here? I spent 4 days in a row at the park a couple weekends back and then this weekend I was there Saturday. We were there on the 10th. It was a beautiful day and the park was packed. FL+ Diamondback lines were about 20 minutes. Also, I think Mystic Timbers is Emily's favorite new coaster at the park. The Beast seemed kind of rough this year and we didn't get a night ride.
  14. Now I actually really hope SFStl asks for donations. I want to see people throw free money at them while they charge $10 for a beer and $5 for a soda. Although, I guess if they don't have to pay for the carousel to be fixed, Six Flags can lower their food prices and people will stop bitching about the condition of the ride. Hell, here's a nickle. I wouldn't say Six Flags "neglects" our park. The park is doing fine and there's no need to change too much. Why would SF invest more than they have to if they're maximizing their profit from the park? WoF is also incredibly well taken care of and it's a beautiful park. WoF isn't neglected, they just don't have any reason to build a new ride since the park is still pulling crowds.

  16. I noticed FL+ queues were pretty long at CW and I noticed they were long at KI a couple weeks ago. Diamondback was almost back to the FL+ queue entrance. I hope this isn't a chain-wide trend.
  17. Put a paddle-wheel up on that bitch!
  18. Fast lane + and Fright Lane are the way to go at The Haunt. The experience is incredible. And we get hammered drunk...
  19. Sure, but it wasn't funded by donations from people who already pay to go to the park. That, and SF still got something out of the ride.
  20. Every time I go to SFGam American Eagle has been holding a line. It's a classic and it still delivers a fun ride. Why touch it? Seems like a efforts could be made elsewhere.
  21. Thanks for the TR's. Glad both of you had a good time.
  22. This was exactly my point. Why the hell would I donate to a successful business to maintain its property? We're not talking about a public park.
  23. You have seen American Eagle's queue, right? Yes. And Viper, Superman, Raging Bull, Maxx Force, X-Flight... Scream, X2, Goliath, Riddler... The Boss, Mr. Freeze, etc., etc. Notice a pattern? It’s not a space issue, it’s a Six Flags design feature. And a horrible way to treat paying customers. Bruh... lol. Don't you think that statement is a little overboard?
  24. ^really? You're better than this comment.
