Funniest Ride Experiences
Blue Fire Guy replied to Coasters 4 ever's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I had several insane clench-n-squish rides on Logger's Run at CGA last season. It was me and 4 other people in the TPR group I go to the park with, all stuffed into the log! The log bottoms out wherever there is a flat section of flume, which is basically a prediction of how crazy the finale will be. And by crazy, I mean everybody getting floater airtime on the double down, followed by getting soaked! The soaking process on clench-n-squish rides is a bit unusual: The log makes an initial splash that sprinkles a fair amount of water on us, then as it decelerates it wobbles around a bit before suddenly dipping down and scooping up a MUCH larger second WALL of water that just POURS all over us! Wet and stinky shoes galore too. If the log is flooded, then an unacceptable amount of wetness will most likely come to be! On one particular ride during Haunt (its Haunt-mode name is Black Widow's Cavern), when we reached the station, one of the ride ops acted like a cop and mentioned how we were "doing 35 in a 20 zone", most likely referring to the increased speed caused by all the weight in the log! Not only did it go faster in the finale, but it pretty much flew through the flat sections at what must have felt like 25 mph or something ridiculous, all the talents were having a hard time getting us because we were going so fast! Definitely going to do this again for the 2013 season given that the park hasn't changed the maximum # of riders rule and keeps it at 5. -
Porky Means Business, plays in the first phase of the final boss battle of EarthBound, and RPG for the SNES.

What's your closest coaster?
Blue Fire Guy replied to FishyFish's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The way my home park is oriented in relation to where I live (if you draw a straight line, my house would be 15-ish miles northwest of the park), the closest coaster to me is unfortunately Demon at CGA. But that will soon change when Gold Striker opens! -

I spy lots of crazy hairtime (especially in that first photo)! I hear this ride's top hat contains the single most extreme moment of airtime on ANY coaster ever, and I also hear that it ejects you so hard that it actually hurts a bit as well. I haven't ridden it, but is that the case here? -
^ Maybe a 4-across Mack Megacoaster (same as Blue Fire) train tailor made for Vortex? It would be awesome if that actually happened, as those are quite possibly the best steel coaster trains IMO. But alas, one can only dream for such a miracle to occur. Yet again, there's always the choice to "TAER IT DOWN!!1!"...at least when the park decides to do so. Unfortunately, I think this pain (especially for men) inducing piece of s**t is here to stay for a while longer.

Awesome TR! That day was really a lot of fun, and a great first park (and coaster) to kick off 2013 with, and impersonating Drunk Piers in NHAC was quite the highlight! And so was good ol' Giant Dipper and its butt-slappin' airtime. That funky sideways laterals + airtime combo after the 2nd turnaround had me partially sitting on the seat divider for a split second!

My favorite video game soundtrack of all time belongs to a RPG for the GBA called MOTHER 3 (Japan only, though there is a fan translation for it). If you play Smash Bros. Brawl and know about Lucas, New Pork City, and Porky, this game is where they all came from. MOTHER 3 is the official sequel to the SNES RPG EarthBound, the game that brought about Ness who would later join the Smash Bros. character roster. 8-bit Mega Man, Pokemon Gen IV and V, the Donkey Kong Country trilogy, EarthBound, and the 3D Zelda games are all outstanding in their music, but they just don't top MOTHER 3 for me. They are close. Really, really, REALLY, REALLY CLOSE!!! But MOTHER 3 takes the cake for me, I don't know any other reason than that it has a special place in my heart and really "clicks on" with me. Now then, have a good listen at these seven tunes, though there are far too many more that I love as well: Opening Theme - Welcome to the World of MOTHER 3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HS4gqfJaaHY Love Theme http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idULzIIF950 Misplaced Revenge (Unfounded Revenge in Brawl) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nhy_Z5XwDH0 Natural Killer Cyborg (IMO one of the best songs on the GBA) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHEhkeRlldQ Porky's Pokies http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fBGILqp6kQs Master Porky's Theme http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-C3T83mUpc 16 Melodies (credits theme) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZbqrZJ9VA4

And I thought we were pretty bad with our descriptions and conversations out at the park (our little CGA group has had some very interesting conversations to say the least ). I remember myself making some...noises...on Orbit during one visit. I couldn't help but utter them! Anton was doing His very finest that day, and I enjoyed every second of the forceful, firm approach that He is known for. This coming season, I'll have to do a trip report featuring Orbit in a way inspired by R.D.'s Schwarzporn TRs.

I like plain cheeseburgers. Just the meat, cheese, and bun. -

Love that second pic, I notice how it's got 3 layers to it with the windmills, Krake, and Colossos. I also happen to be a sucker for foggy mornings with that wonderful pink glow of the rising sun. Beauteous! -
Yes, don't know if I could eat it though, lol. Would it be insanely awesome if all the old-school B&M inverts of the world (Flight Deck CGA, Nemesis Alton Towers, Katun, Montu, Pyrenees, etc.) got the backwards treatment?
