I found CarnEvil to be very solid last year (my very first Haunt), I'd say I'd put it at 3rd right behind TF and M^4 for my favorite maze. It's got a cool theme song with hilarious lyrics, some decent startle moments (esp. cotton candy girl), and of course a 60-D acid trip. Not to mention me walking right into a mirror, lol! I don't think it's going anywhere and is here to stay this year.

^^ I just watched the Vine vid of all of those 500+ decibel screaming girls on ToT. I know it's quite normal for people to scream loud on ToT, but these girls' screams are just a whole new level of eardrum bursting! Robb's report of DHS shows a bad enough day, and while it would be quite fitting to have these people at SFMM rather than a place like WDW, I can only imagine what a day at SFMM would be like with them, considering the park's reputation for ride operations.

The "Say Something Random" Thread

Be prepared for the unexpected, ALWAYS. Ship High In Transit happens you know. -
Just registered and am now very excited for my first ever TPR event! I do have a question though: On the "customer information" page I entered in all my information, name, email, TPR screen name, etc. However, the PayPal part was all under my dad's name, he was pretty cool with it and we planned for this ever since WCB 2013 was announced earlier this year. Is there any problem with this?

Yesterday was a blast! Clench-n-squish Logger's ride, lots of Goldy action, and just overall lots of fun. Goldy was running a little sluggish in the morning but got faster as things warmed up. Train B (peanut butter) was running slightly slower than Train A (red) throughout the day, and on the turnaround after the double up I could briefly hear the guide wheels screeching...looks like she might need a little lube! Vortex? Smooth? Sometimes it is...early in the season it was ok, but today it was utter Ship High In Transit. We also decided to be complete idiots and ride with our heads against the headrest instead of being defensive and tilting them forward out of range of headbanging. Rough as hell, Vortex tried to kill us!

^ The fencing up closer to the station has a thicker, sturdier mesh that's virtually unmalleable by even the strongest human hands. If the current thin, malleable mesh in the rest of the queue is replaced with the sturdier mesh up towards the station, this problem would be easily solved. And yes, I too think this period of time will be useful in getting rid of vandalism...namely pieces of gum that I saw on the track (thankfully not on the rails, but pretty damn close) right next to the final staircase into the station (which will likely be removed when the track is next walked). I knew this would happen sooner or later, as currently it's frighteningly easy for an idiot to throw or spit something onto the track while on that final staircase.

Speaking of wait time depending on a variety of factors, Psycho Mouse ran surprisingly efficient operations yesterday, really amazing crew this year! Last year: One train is going up the lift while the other hits the final brakes at a given time, and a lot in the station. This year: One train going up the lift, another just finishing the switchbacks about to go down the drop, another hitting the final brakes at a given time, and some in the station.

That's awesome news! I did see a pile of wood at the foot of the P-turn during my rides yesterday, and I'm guessing that'll be for the new tunnel. This leaves one question unanswered: How is the ride still open? Also, yay for me losing my 5-person Didgeridoo Falls run virginity! That was possibly the craziest thing I've ever done at the park, right up there with clench-n-squish Logger's rides. Lots of walltime (vertical to overbanked walltime), out of control. On the second run, I smacked my head into Angry_Gumball's shoulder at the end, which hurt, but in a way that added to the sheer insanity. Definitely want to do it on another visit this summer.

Tripsdrill Discussion Thread
Blue Fire Guy replied to BDG's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Easily the sexiest Eurofighter trains I've ever seen, that lighting is just...wow! Bonus points for lap bars and no headbanging, and the layout looks really fun. The rest of Tripsdrill looks very nice, and is definitely a park on my bucket list, hoping to visit sometime in the coming years!
