  1. ^^^The first picture of the track I saw didn't look great. I started liking it when I saw the photo of a piece already at Carowinds. I also do like the colours CF has bee using lately (especially banshee's)
  2. I don't know why they never had that row of seats in the first place. With TTD I get it (because of theming purposes) but I don't understand why the trains came with that row missing. Were they afraid it would be too heavy and not make it over the top?
  3. True. Nonetheless, in my view, intimidator and this are pretty different. Naturally watching a POV when both coasters' track is the same leads you to believe they're similar while, in reality, they may be just as different as magnum an MF
  4. Gosh, we enthusiasts are getting pickier and pickier. Never in a million years would I have expected somebody to say a 325 foot tall coaster looks "boring". Honestly all this sounds just like when Thunderbird was announced.
  5. ^^That's right. That's why I asked how he knew when they were being used as he said you almost couldn't feel them.
  6. ^It's not a big difference. Yes, you do have more room (a lot, really, if you're in the back of the car) but the ride is the same. I suppose for some people it may be scarier. However, as I always ride every coaster in the outside seats (as usually I'm not with enthusiasts) it's not much different for me.
  7. ^So how do you know they're being used? You hear them?
  8. ^^^I don't know if the trains have to do with the ride being a giga or a hyper at all. The fact is the only two B&M gigas are/will be at parks which already have a hyper with the new trains, so I wonder if they just wanted to make it "more different" if that makes any sense. It's not like they can use the V-shaped ones for heights up to 299 ft and as soon as it gets to 300 they have to use these.
  9. Sorry for double post Yet the first airtime hill got a suspicious straight section ( ), so I think they'll definitely put a trim here. Yeah, that's what I thought. Are leviathan's trims nasty? Do they actually do much?
  10. I do remember seeing some POVs which already included the trims. However, banshee's (for instance) does not. By the way, not that it's very important but does anyone know the lift angle? Similar to leviathan's, I guess (which It don't know either).
  11. ^^Apollo's Chariot, Goliath at La Ronde, Goliath at Six Flags Over Georgia, Silver Star, Nitro and Raging Bull. Oh and Hollywood Dream: The Ride
  12. I think it's mostly because the cost generally includes the theming as well, or am I mistaken. I hope so. Otherwise it would mean that coasters in Europe are ridiculously more expensive.
  13. Haha! I actually wonder how some rather rough coasters would be if they were smooth. And when I think of furius baco I get the impression it wouldn't be quite as exiting.
  14. One thing I've been thinking about: I know coasters in Europe are usually more expensive but when I compare Fury 325's price to shambhala's it's a significant difference (the former being cheaper) which is odd as shambhala is considerably shorter and smaller (and has the same number of trains). Also, I wonder why they didn't go for 9-car trains as most B&M hypers with these did.
  15. ^^That's what happened to gatekeeper. It might not be 100% quiet, but it isn't loud either (at least in the part by the entrance)
  16. This. And right by the entrance of the park it would look even more intimidating. But that's what concerns me, due to the location they might silence it to be more "friendly".
  17. I have to admit, one thing that did disappoint me a bit is the drop angle. I thought it would be more like 85 and I'm sure that (despite the train length) it would be more than fine if it were vertical, given its height.
  18. Where do you see more airtime? There is the same exact number of hills. And It will most likely be 0g floater at best. I do like the colors. This has 3 hills and leviathan 2. While those may be bigger, it does look like some of those twists and turns could have some air.
  19. I agree. The rides are actually more different than I thought they would, which is good. It may not be an airtime machine, but then if it were I WOULD be a lot like intimidator. I'm glad they went for something different.
  20. And Carowinds will become one of the few parks with 4 B&Ms.
  21. Just one thing: please don't put ANY sand on the track! The B&M roar would be awesome with such a big coaster.
  22. Wow it's long! Properly long!
