Does anyone happen to know when the test runs are supposed to start? -
^Hell's kitchen is quite funny, specially when Ramsay gets mad. Oh, wait, he is always mad. Criminal minds is my favorite and I also like to watch CSI once in a while.

New B&M trains on Steel Dragon
rcjp replied to Trevor's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Well that was unexpected. Those trains are certainly better than the old ones. Still, I find it a bit strange to see a B&M train seating 2 across. I also find rather odd how low the height limit is as there are quite a few tall Japanese people (as some have already said). -
Least favorite coaster element.

Any part of Coaster Express at parque Warner Madrid except for the lift hill. No, wait... even that is painful (I am talking about the beginning which is quite jerky) -

Looks cool. I like the way it stands between gatekeeper and wicked twister. I guess it really will be possible to get some nice pics of twister. -

Why wouldn't this be a wooden coaster? It has a wood structure and wood track (this includes the steel plate that goes over the wood layers just like on any other wooden coaster, the only difference is that it is a lot thicker than usual so that it doesn't require so much maintenance and wears off less). It may have a few steel parts but there are no wooden coasters without a single metal part in it. In order to be a hybrid, it would have to have either a steel track and wood supports (like the new Texas giant and iron rattler) or steel supports and a wood track which is not the case. That's why it is, by definition, a wooden coaster. -

Fantastic footage! Spectacular update Robb! Like you said, those off ride shots are stunning, they do really show how fast this coaster is. Great addition to Silver Dollar city. I wonder how such an amazing ride only costed 10 million dollars. -

Just watched the POV. Looks totally insane! Really sweet and twisty! I suppose it really can kick all sorts of A$$. Well done Rocky mountain! -

That was the problem on Skyrush. The lapbars would lower if you pushed on it during the ride, or in this case, from the forces. I think on a b&m it would work fine That's what I supposed when I heard about the complaints about skyrush's restrains. I think it really is more from the G forces the ride pulls rather than the pressure we put on them as never hold on to my restrains and, in those cases, they still lowered. there was one time while riding furius baco that I decided I would push the restrains upwards so that they wouldn't get to tight during the ride but, after a few seconds I couldn't resist the temptation and raised my hands almost automatically. -

Are the restrains on B&M wing coasters hydraulic? I didn't know that. What I did notice was how the ones on some intamin coasters like kingda ka and furius baco will considerably tighten down during the ride and by the end they will be crushing your legs. I guess that's the inconvenient with the hydraulic system. Still, really looking forward to gatekeeper. -
It does look very cool. Really TWISTY! As to the Flying Snake Dive vs Dive Loop thing: I guess the difference is that while the flying snake begins as a heartline roll and the trains exist at a 90º angle (in this case, to the left) the dive loop on full throttle is just a dive loop that starts with a turn to the opposite side of the dive and then twists the other way in the middle. At least this is my theory.

^^ Oh, I see the layout has been slightly changed and a few more inversions added. Will it still have the "washing machine" element or have they got rid of it and chosen to add some inversions instead? -

Those pictures just look sweet. I'm guessing gatekeeper will indeed be a very photogenic coaster, specially as it is by the park's entry. -

Nope. That's for sure. -
Mine was rather simple: RC obviously stands for roller coaster and JP are my initials (João Pedro).
-
Just measured mine: 58 in a minute. Not bad, it's probably because I'm used to intense exercise 3 times a week and moderate one 2-3 times a week.
-
Why not? Should the world's next tallest coaster feature inversions?
-
Neither have I which, is also surprising as I play a contact sport (karate).

Over a year ago, i think. When was the last time you stepped on dog shit?
