  1. Really nice update! I guess space exploration is something that everyone is curious about (at leas a bit). It is, indeed, a must see in Florida. It must be really cool to watch a rocket launch too, glad you managed to do it.
  2. ^ It may happen, I guess. Some coasters get faster and, therefore, more forceful with age. When they make the fist test runs, it is, sometimes, clear that the trains travel a lot slower then they do after a few runs. I'm not sure if it is also the case when it comes to years, though. But I think so, there was a considerable difference in terms of intensity when I rode batman at parque Warner Madrid and then the one at Six flags great adventure. That might just have been because they may be slightly different or it might be because the one at SFGA is nine years older.
  3. 1 pair of Nike 1 pair of Nike another pair of Nike one more pair of Nike and, guess what: 1 pair of converse! No, I was kidding. One more pair of nike.
  4. This may sound like a joke but here in Portugal a gallon would cost what would be 8.3 dollars.
  5. Cycling. Specially going up and down hills to try to reach the highest possible speed (amazingly I've never injured myself while doing that).
  6. Wow! The second half of the coaster was built astonishingly fast. That's the way to do it and it is why B&M's are almost never behind schedule. I just can't wait to see it in action with the first test runs coming soon! By the way, there seems to be no trim on the camel-back hill after all (as some videos suggested) and I hope that the MCBR won't kill a lot of speed either.
  7. Yes, I guess M. Force also has four of them, it's just that parks like to exaggerate a bit when it comes to new coasters (maybe you remember that Silver Dollar City said that outlaw run would be the world's "first inverting wooden coaster".) Still, that doesn't really matter as this looks such a bad-ass coaster. Great job RMC!
  8. Don't they mean loop, twist, and drop? Maybe they were drunk and saw more than one loop, twist and drop.
  9. ^ I don't know but I've noticed that several more recent B&Ms don't make that fantastic roar and probably it really is because it is more "family friendly". However, as CP already has mantis and raptor (which is quite near the entry) making this roaring sound they might not "silence it", right? Or maybe they will, who knows?
  10. Of course I know that the whole point of having a new ride is drawing more people into the park and I also know that August is the busiest time of the season. What I was trying to say was that I'd obviously like that in the last week of August (which is a lot less busy) the increasing crowd due to gatekeeper wouldn't make it impossible to ride every coaster at least once.
  11. Yeah, I guess it will draw a bit of a crowd towards that area, I just hope that it doesn't draw a lot more people to the park itself (at least when go there in August). Still, it looks really cool, I specially like the way it extends over a large area. It will for sure be a great way to welcome CP's guests. (And I don't think that the gaps are that important, maybe i would like them not to be there but, who cares? It will provide some nice foot/head/hands and a bunch of other body parts chopper)
  12. It just looks stunning. I particularly love the way the track colors combine with the landscape. Lets see if this ride will be as good as it looks.
  13. It would, indeed, be better if there was something more between the MCBR and the end, like another inversion, for example. I have noticed that, lately, B&M have been placing MCBRs very close to the ride's end: shambhala at portaventura is one example, after the mid course there is just a turn and a small hill. However, this is way better than what they did with leviathan where the final break run is where the MCBR should be. Still, I am really looking forward to riding gatekeeper next summer (let's just hope that is is more intense than the other B&M wingriders).
  14. Well, it's good to see that they are actually making some progress on the YOLOcoaster. Still, not that much when compared to gatekeeper.
  15. Great captions on the "action" part! Nice combination of rides in one park.
  16. Probably Furius Baco at Portaventura (if it is working).
  17. Totally agree with you. Every time I search gatekeeper's construction photos there is something new. In contrast, all I can find of Full throttle is one or two bits of track laying around.
  18. My first coaster with inversions was Space Mountain at Disneyland Paris
  19. I had really pleasant surprise when I rode furius baco. I was expecting to enjoy it much less than dragon khan or shambhala but actually, I can't decide which one I loved the most. I knew it was going to be extremely rough and when found out that the acceleration from 0 to 83 mph took 3.5 seconds (which is the same that kingda ka takes to go to 128, and kingda ka was the only accelerator coaster I had ever ridden) I was a bit disappointed, especially when the layout is basically just a giant figure of eight with a heartline roll in the middle. Considering this, I was astonished to find that the acceleration was awesome and that the rest of the ride was very intense too (and it was made even better by the trains). That heartline roll is just insane as you get really close to the ground. And I wasn't really bothered by the roughness of the ride, it actually added a bit more drama.
  20. B&M: The only launched coaster you have ever built has a rather unusual launch system. Are there any future plans to build any launched coaster that uses something like LSMs or LIMs?
  21. Vekoma: You haven't built any new MK-1200 model coaster for over a decade. Are there any future plans to build one or aren't there any parks that want one?
  22. Intamin: Last year I rode Kingda Ka and, despite being incredibly fast and tall, I couldn't stop thinking that it could be a bit longer (and it's the same with top thrill dragster). Is there any particular reason for why you have made them so short or is it just a matter of costs?
  23. Intamin: we all know that your hydraulic launch system can produce incredible acceleration and take coasters to very high speeds. However, it isn't as reliable as other ones (Such as LSMs). Do you have a real effective solution for this problem?
  24. S&S: We all know that you hold the record for fastest accelerating coaster in the world and that your coasters can achieve incredible speeds. Have you ever considered building a tallest, fastest and fastest accelerating coaster in the world all at once?
  25. S&S: Have you ever thought of incorporating other types of elements such as inversions in your air launch coasters?
