  1. Actually I'm kind of one of those that doesn't fully believe SFMM can be as bad as people really say (as I haven't been there). Maybe all I need is a visit to change my opinion
  2. ^I think I had never noticed just how circular the loop looked! I hope they don't mess with the trims (or MCBRs) as it used to carry a lot of speed through that drop into the loop making it almost ridiculously forceful I don't know how the Japanese one used to be before they took care of it but in this TPR POV it does go a lot slower through the loop than this one. Vs
  3. No lines at all! (but still some people in the park so that it doesn't feel dead). What's better than that?
  4. ^Granted: Goliath at Six Flags Magic Mountain shall be open on a Thursday. I wish I had the money to open a park with some serious coasters.
  5. I think I would take Fahrenheit's over sotrm runner's (even though I like the ride itself a lot more) as it has a really storm pop of air going beyond vertical, but that's a great one too.
  6. I'm okay with the idea of the holding brake. I've been on Possessed at Dorney and Wicked Twister so I've tried both options and I don't really have a strong preference: while the back twisted spike is fun, the straight one with the holding on Possessed also is (I think the fact that it isn't twisted enhances the weightlessness feeling). I did enjoy WT more but that was because I found the launch more forceful.
  7. ^It sounds a bit like a futuristic spaceship being turned on or some "laser gun" charging up
  8. ^Now that's starting to look properly tall.
  9. I was finding it quite strange that they were taking so long to get that lift piece straight but then I realised that it really is shaped like that (obviously because of the drop)
  10. ^I think that what makes the biggest difference is taking the wing seats or not and not so much the car where you sit. On those ones the whipping action is more intense (it's noticeable in the Stengel dive and the twisted airtime hill where you get some nice laterals). I took around 5 or 6 rides on it and only one was in a middle seat (just to give it a try) as I liked the winged ones more.
  11. I do hope it does as don't really think it is acceptable for a company that made rides which, after 20 years (in some cases) are still extremely smooth, to have any rattling issues with their new ones.
  12. Pretty Fly For a White Guy - The Offspring
  13. Iron Rattler
  14. ^I remember seeing a couple who didn't look very comfortable with the idea of riding it sitting in the very back (which, despite not being very different from the other seats, does pack a bigger punch in the drop). I just though: "Oh dear..."
  15. ^Yes but that one does have a counter weight. I meant something that looked like this or like a normal pirate ship (without a weight)
  16. I'm not sure. I thought that all B&Ms were stored in that special storage where they don't sit on the wheels but then I heard that some are kept on the lift hills, so I can't really tell.
  17. Looks pretty good! I also like the sound the lift makes
  18. ^Really cool that they're using a vertical transfer track, pretty rare.
  19. Men in Tights
  20. ^I haven't been there for quite a while, actually (given that it's "only" 6 hours away, the closest park from my home) but it's king of special for me as it was where I rode my first B&M and first "proper" coaster (batman). I'm just waiting for the Coaster Express RMC treatment to come
