  1. I will frequent the TPR board, watch POVs, plan future trips, and patiently wait for spring. I can also get excited for the 2013 TPR tours, especially Texas/Midwest.
  2. Arrow loopers would be a good option for me if I enjoyed pain. Both Anaconda and Vortex gave me neck pain and headaches.
  3. Sliders and a few hours on any bus can make for one potentially volatile combination...
  4. ^^^ Thanks. This would be my first TPR trip, so I am a little excited.
  5. This looks totally crazy! If there is a Texas/Midwest Trip, I am unsure whether I can restrain myself from a trip to Branson before August.
  6. Will we also be able to put deposits down next week? --- I suppose I am excited about the potential TPR Texas/Midwest Trip.
  7. How about a spinnning, giga coaster? Or, a wooden wing-rider? I also contemplated a wooden strata-coaster. Last, how about a three or four-mile long wooden and/or steel coaster?
  8. The ride looks awesome. I will seriously consider the TPR 2014 Scandinavia Tour.
  9. I went to Fright Fest last night. It was a certainly a little chilly. The haunted houses had almost zero wait. X-Flight was also shut-down by about 8pm. However, I finally got to experience it from the backrow. I experienced some more noticeable vibration from the back. I also got in a front row ride on my beloved Raging Bull. On another note, I like how SFGA used the remnants of the Sky Whirl for the "zombie invasion" scenes near the Eagle.
  10. Someone may have answered this question in a previous post, however, I wondered if there will be a West Coast Bash 2013. I think I saw a post that referred to an off-season event and a potential TPR West Coast Tour.
  11. The Chicagoland area has a few good haunts. I have visited a few during my years, however, Statesville Haunted House, near Joliet, is one of the better haunted houses. The house is loosely themed off the actual Statesville Corrections Center (site of John Wayne Gacy's execution) located near Statesville Haunted House. http://www.statesvillehauntedprison.com/
  12. I would really love to see a TOGO stand-up clone replace that SOB. I "sorely" miss Shockwave @ KD and would love one a bit closer to home.
  13. I know this is somewhat off-point (pun intended) and very random, but, for those who watched (and remember) the Gatekeeper "press conference" via in-person or computer, was the robed character that spoke to those attendees, some character from their Halloween event? I meant to ask this question after the announcement and then forgot to post it. I guess I continue to contemplate the purpose of this robed, very Halloween-type character. And it is CP. And they sometimes lack strong theming. In any case, I needed to get this out there.
  14. Unless I missed it, the voters failed to get Behemoth into the Top 50. Yet, every other B&M hyper made the list.
  15. CF also took on a significant debt load after its acquisition of Paramount's KI, KD, Carowinds, CGA, CW. Although CF installed several coasters at these parks since 2008, they need to carefully plan their expenditures (remember Six Flags' bankruptcy?). Of course, prior to CF's acquisition of these parks, the Paramount chain's coaster selections were pretty bad (with some exceptions- Volcano, The Beast).
  16. Since the average ACE member is about 105 years old, I can understand why Sky Rush was ranked #46. Perhaps, its just too forceful for the older crowd.
  17. I don't know if that's what it is. Even though it's not a 200-300 footer, Maverick sees some of the same complaints that SkyRush and Intimidator 305 do. It's in Ohio, and it placed at #21. I would argue that I305 and Sky Rush are better roller coasters than Maverick. As for Magnum XL-200? Sure, I appreciate its history. Yet, I would much rather ride MF, Maverick, or TTD before I consider Magnum (at CP). At this point, is it really top ten worthy?
  18. ^^^Of course, CP added MF, WT, and TTD prior to Cedar Fair's acquisition of KI, KD, etc. In any case, I love the idea of a new rollercoaster at KD. It will help erase the painful memories of rides on Shockwave, Hurler, Grizzly, and Anaconda.
  19. Though I would love to see another solid roller coaster at KD (mainly to offset every coaster but I305 and Volcano), the park did install a major roller coaster just two years ago.
  20. I have very fond memories of Anaouchmakeitstopivehadenoughconda. It's an excellent ride, really...
  21. Skyrush barely made the Top 50? Intimidator @ Carowinds ranks higher than Intimidator 305? Bleh.
