  1. Good TR. I especially appreciate the photo of Tinley Park Liquors. Classic.
  2. Awesome! Thank you for the feedback. Is it 2013 yet?
  3. I have yet to take a TPR tour. However, I attended East Coast Bash last month. Obviously, ECB included both tour and non-tour members. I would estimate that a couple hundred people attended both days. As such, we had both morning/night ERT on multiple rides both days. For the majority of park visits, say-during New Hotness, that solely include those on the tour, what is ERT typically like? Does it typically include morning/night and multiple ride ERT? (I am attempting to envision a more intimate, private ERT session on say- NTG, Outlaw Run, Millennium Force, etc).
  4. According to the KD website, the park is closed for private events September 9th, 15th, and 22nd. That said, if you are going around September 30th, which is a Sunday, the park will close early given that its a day before school/work for most people. The park is open later Friday to accomdate working adults and school-age children, adolescents, etc.
  5. Thanks for the TR. I visited the Dells two weekends ago. It was very hot, but overall, a great time. We stopped at Mount Olympus, Timber Falls (for Hellcat/Avalanche and some hardcore miniature golf), Knuckleheads (which actually has a small, indoor children's coaster), etc.
  6. Roller Soaker might be a better fit at Michigan's Adventure or Six Flags St. Louis.
  7. My proverbial "wheels are turning" for either the Texas/Midwest Tour or the West Coast Tour. TPR tours seem like a great time. That said, I will patiently await for the trip announcements. Since this will be my first TPR tour, I am especially looking forward to the experience. I wished that I had the time available to join the New Hotness Tour this past summer.
  8. I also wonder about Holiday World. Logistically, I am unsure where that would fit during the trip, but that would be awesome to make a stop there.
  9. I would just love a Sky Rush-clone. Speaking of Sky Rush, I wonder how many new Intamin coasters we will see over the next few years given that CF has installed several B&M's of late and of course, Six Flags has rarely built an Intamin at any of their parks.
  10. Aha! Yes, the Whizzer gives me local pride. The American Eagle is also a lot of fun (and good for a liitle bit of airtime, too).
  11. This looks like an enjoyable/fun ride/entertaining ride. If I make to that area of California next year, I will likely stop by for a ride.
  12. You mean this coaster ain't a Vekoma boomerang? Then, I could care less.
  13. That is going to be the best part of the ride. I wonder how that will work with 3 train operation, but I'm sure CP knows what they are doing. It's obviously a low-capacity, single train ride ala Wicked Twister. This should make for excruciating 4-5 hour waits.
  14. ^^^It's the first-ever wing-rider/boomerang collaboration between B&M and Vekoma. Get ready!
  15. I like both the look and lay-out. I also really like the key-holes over the front entrance. Gatekeeper should be a great addition to the park! I am looking forward to next year.
  16. It doesnt go over the parking lot. Only the supports do. Its not a parking lot coaster if its all over grass, unless there will be parking there. Frontier Trail needs Mean Streak to be destroyed and GCI/TGG to be installed or RMC'd. Until then, not even Maverick can haul in enough people back there. Everyone congregates there and swiftly moves back to the middle/front of the park. Im sure in due time (next capital investment) will be back there. Maybe (hopefully) dealing with that waste of space called Mean Streak. Terrible ridership anyways. ^ Track does NOT go over the lot. Goes over a path connecting the lot to the park. Of which Im sure will be employee only or will be more covered. If thats your definition of parking lot coaster you are reaching really far for that. Sadly, I am less than optimistic that CP will remove/replace Mean Streak any time soon.
  17. What exactly were you expecting? This surpasses my expectations by a mile! Same here! I was expecting a whole different layout! This one is a hell lot better then what I imagined! I was expecting something other than a wing-rider. I was disappointed by X-Flight at SGA. That said, I am in no hurry to get to CP for the Gatekeeper. (Yes, I held out that CP would simply fool the public.)
  18. Great photos! This was also my first TPR Event. Needless to say, I really enjoyed it. I am looking forward to next year. On a side note, the singing competition was great, especially Cliff!
  19. I will attend each day as a proverbial single-rider. I am open to meeting up with other single-riders who have Fast Lane and Quick Queue either day.
  20. I found the very back row of Gemini at CP brutal. However, the front row makes for a somewhat decent ride.
  21. What is the purpose of false clues if several newspapers have already reported the leaked information of a wing-rider? By reading the blog, I feel that CP has supposedly fooled people with false information. But, what info have they released? We have a leak and crates, etc. Based on this info, we can assume that the ride is likely a wing-rider. However, if these are the only clues/info available to is, how are they actually fooling anybody? Unless, of course, the newspaper article and labels on those crates are pieces of disinformation. I can only hope CP is that savy. But, am I giving them too much credit? Surely, another giga or mega-lite would brighten my day.
  22. Maybe "Gatekeeper" as in Ghostbusters theming, eh, eh? The next ride would logically be named "Key Master". Of course the theming is 30 years too late, but hey, it's CP, right?
