Leviathan Bash! Canada's Wonderland
Intaman replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I would sure like to attend Leviathan Bash. However, I had to choose between that and ECB. And of course, there is Deep South Bash. Choices...choices... -

Alright, this is my last idea submission. How about "Hawkeye the Ride"? Obviously, it is an Alan Alda, MASH-inspired wing-rider. Think second-tier licensing like Intimidator 305. TPR could then hold a Hawkeye Bash. For opening day, Alan Alda would ride first...as a single rider! -

I think CP needs to pay tribute to Hawk of the legendary WWE and pro-wrestling tag-team of Hawk and Animal aka the Legion of Doom. I figure the coaster would be painted black and red. As the train descends, during its first drop, riders and nearby park attendees hear Hawk say, "what a rush"!!!!!. Let's call this ride Hawk 180 or Hawk's Rush!!! or simply Hawk. Eh? Eh? -

Hasn't this really been like the worst kept secret ever? Seriously, I think we all know what it is... The Sandusky newspaper even published it! Here, let me remind you all... http://www.sanduskyregister.com/sandusky/belaboring-point/cedar-point/blog-cedar-points-wing-coaster-answers-enthusiasts-prayer I suppose I am in CP wing-rider denial. Somebody slap me. I wanted to believe the newspaper article was spurned by a so-called leak. I will just have to accept an "inverted" BM...I mean wing-rider. -

According to CP, they would not give it away that easy. Is this simply another false clue? In short, is it a fake label? -

Actually, I was somewhat surprised CP would get an "inverted" wing-rider. I suppose I expected something more unique or more BAM! Personally, wing-riders thrill me less than MF, TTD, or Maverick. That said, I would hope this particular wing-rider dazzles. -

For a moment, I will pretend CP is getting something better than a BM wing-rider. -

I rode Disaster Transport for the last time yesterday. Though I would rather see other types of coasters replace DT, I look forward to the new coaster at CP. -

I would agree. Skyrush is smooth, yet powerful, "I'm going to launch you a couple hundred feet" ejector air. Magnum is obviously rough airtime. The restraint bruised my thigh the first time. In fact, my first ride was somewhat painful (to the extent it distracted me from the ride). By my second ride, I decided to try to move my body with the ride. Thankfully, by the third ride, there was no pain. Perhaps it was how tight the restraint was. I recall there was some space between that and my lap. In any case, I felt I got the true Skyrush experience during my last ride. -

I visited Hershey a couple weeks ago and more specifically to ride Skyrush. During my initial wait, there were about six "technical difficulties". I entered the line around 10:15 and got on the ride by noon. Of course, I waited for the front row. Fast forward a few hours. Skyrush is down for about an hour. About 90% of the line cleared, leaving about thirty people. I decided to wait at the entrance. Fortunately, Skyrush reopened and I again rode front row, winged-seat. There weren't any other operating issues with the ride afterward. I got in line once more around 9:40. Yes, I again waited for the front row. However, I took the right-winged seat this time. With only me and two other riders occupying the front row, this last night ride was awesome! I truly enjoyed it. The air was cool, the train was essentially empty (we were the third to last group), and unlike the first ride, it was painless. In short, it was one of those almost perfect ride moments. I wanted more. Unfortunately, the park closed. I love Skyrush. Technical issues aside, I easily put it near atop my list. The airtime is incredible. I am unsure if I have experienced anything quite like it. -

This new coaster looks rather promising. Of course, I have yet to visit SDC. This will likely give me that incentive to get out there. Having just experienced El Toro a couple weeks ago, I am somewhat on a "woodie kick". -

Well put! I used fast lane at KI two weeks ago. I really wanted to ride "The Beast" at night (thanks R.L. Stine!). Thanks to Fast Lane, I had multiple night rides on it. For roller coaster enthusiasts, Fast Lane should be one of the greatest inventions since sliced bread. -

I visited King's Island a couple weeks ago. Travel Channel was capturing Diamondback footage. The ride was actually temporarily "shut down" to allow a camera man to wade though the small pond (in shorts, shoes, and socks) that Diamondback's track crosses to retrieve a camera. In any case, I am looking forward to visiting CP this summer. -
