  1. ^ Hey, I can out-stand anyone...does that make me outstanding? [rim shot] Rant Time...still no job. Maybe FedEx Office needs someone to throw packages around or something... Eric
  2. ^ Steer yourself away from drama at all costs. It's hard, but it can be done. Eric
  3. ^ I should have had you take a picture of Mr. Six with me. Then you'd have trouble telling who was who! Eric
  4. ^ You didn't say "boob." Eric
  5. I'm ready for Christmas to be over, actually. This isn't my favorite time of the year. Do you carry a pen with you wherever you go?
  6. ^ Not into comics. < Writes comics. V Rides llamas!
  7. I don't have any problems with Tatsu's pretzel loop in the front, but riding in the last row is very uncomfortable for me. (So where did I ride the time we rode it yesterday? The back. But that's because the others wanted to, so...) Goliath's helix? No problems for me, but closing my eyes helps, as does focusing on the track ahead. Eric
  8. ^ Could that girl be...Poisoned Pirate herself? < Pumbaa is a celebrity and could be a chef. V Is not a celebrity and could be a pest!
  9. I rode Colossus today and forgot to ask about which side is which. Oh well, at least I got to see Goliath's new paint job. It really looks nice. The cleared area for the new coaster looked sort of smallish to me. Could fit a Roller Skater, but really nothing much bigger. Otherwise, two rides on X2, two on Terminator, one each on Gold Rusher, Revolution, Riddler's Revenge, Batman, Tatsu, and the Thomas train. And all had relatively short lines. The best part was meeting up with an old friend and meeting some new ones---one of whom had never been to SFMM before. Eric
  10. ^ Lives in the East. < Lives in the West. V Lives in a pineapple under the sea!
  11. ^ Go during Fright Fest and both sides run. In fact, oftentimes the two operators will try to time the rides to race. As for which side is which, even though I've ridden since Year One, I don't even know, even though I should by now. I will be at SFMM tomorrow, so I'll see if anything new is going on there---if anything. And maybe I'll ask someone at Colossus which is "A" side and which is "B." Eric
  12. ^^ They make 'em out of wood now? Eric
  13. Not only played it, but have dealt it a few times at the casino nights with our casino night company. (I had the website linked, but I guess it's been taken down.) Did you get enough to eat on Thanksgiving?
  14. Congratulations to your grandma, Big Mike! She looks like a very nice lady. I sure wish both of mine were still around. Glad to see that the Big Mike Road Show keeps on going. Ever wonder what your 1000th coaster will be? Eric
  15. ^ I'm sure some ACEer somewhere has tried it! My mom talked about doing this, but didn't get around to it this year. Maybe next time, though. Eric
  16. Did you use peanut oil? I've heard that's the best kind for deep frying turkeys. There was a local story in our paper about a guy who used olive oil and came very close to having the setup catch on fire because of the flash point of the oil. Anyway, I'm glad yours worked out and that you enjoyed it. I have yet to try deep fried turkey...maybe one day. Eric
  17. I'm not too surprised that this project was delayed. It seems like most big projects in Vegas are like that. The Stratosphere is one good example. There were a lot of problems with that one. But I hope I get to check this out next time I go out there. It does look like well worth seeing. Eric
  18. Very cool stuff. Did Premier buy out TOGO? I ask because of how The Coaster at New York New York (formerly Manhattan Express) was shown in the brochures. Or did Premier just build the trains for it? Eric
  19. I rode it one time when it was still at SCBB. It wasn't a big ride, but it was still fun. Too bad it's going away, but at least it's not being scrapped. Eric
  20. California has plenty of air---it's just in a lot of people's heads... Sometimes I think parks out here are scared of airtime on rides because of the litigious nature of the population. Eric
  21. ^ Hopefully in that order because if you destroy yourself first, then you can't observe yourself. Just making a clarification for your convenience. Eric
  22. "...the 'coaster' train is propelled by a tire on the train." (miniviews) I thought it was something like that. Still looks like a fun ride, if for nothing else the scenic view from high above the city. Eric
  23. What's kind of sad about this is that Cedar Fair appears to be trying to squeeze the last penny out of its 1983 investment. They'll end up spending more money relocating it than they would just to scrap it. So now what will Knott's do for 2010? Eric
  24. ^ I do have to agree. For me, when I ride in the front seat, there's always a good pop of air upon coming back up from the first drop. It's the same on Viper going into the block brake if you're in front. Eric
  25. ^ You mean "Wacky Worm" isn't good enough? Eric
