  1. The Roaring '20s Corkscrew was removed in 1989, so that map is older than that. Camp Snoopy opened in 1983, so the map is newer than that. I rode the old Tijuana Taxi many times. One day I'll get out to Castle Park (I've never been there) to ride it again. And it was in fact where Robb labeled it on the map. Eric
  2. There are too many things about people's writing and grammar that annoy me, but I'll save those for the Rant Thread. I agree with everything that Robb has posted here. Over at Westcoaster, I'm the Official Spelling and Grammar Nazi. But I'm not that so much to annoy anyone as much as to try to get people to improve themselves for their own good. The younger members in particular seem to think it's cool to post like they're text messaging or using IM. It's hard to read and, as Robb said, this is a place for discussion, not just dropping a quick note. Please take Robb's advice seriously. It'll make you look good here and in your everyday lives. (If you can believe it, people write like that on job applications and resumes sometimes. Guess how likely they are to score the job!) Eric
  3. Why do people put apostrophes on plurals? Looking at the topic "Tattoo's" brought that to mind. It's not "shoe's" or "car's" or "ride's." I mean, come on...didn't they teach you better? Eric
  4. Dinner was at Wendy's tonight. Eric
  5. No, never, ever. Have you ever dropped anything on a person from a tall building or tower?
  6. You can always go to the Disneyland website and look there on the day you plan to visit. Click "See the calendar," then "Get Schedule" when the calendar shows up. Eric
  7. Well, sort of. I often refer to my office as Six Flags Over Oxnard. Do you get along with your folks?
  8. "Don't like Seafood or eggs!" (XII) Seafood I like (mostly), but, yeah, I forgot how much I can't stand eggs. I can't believe I left it off my list. Eric
  9. ^ Has Friday off. < Doesn't have Friday off. V Just...off!
  10. I was going to save up for a cruise, but I think I'll save up for a trip to Animal Kingdom! This was perhaps one of the best photo TRs I've seen on here (no offense to anyone else). I still have to check out your POV of this. EDIT: Where can I get the POV? Eric
  11. Funny...20 years ago when we got major coasters once every three to five years, we were OK with it. Then we got spoiled (at SFMM at least) with major coasters every year. Now when they cut back and/or install "minor" attractions, we're going to feel "cheated." I agree that some parks do need their "Goliath" because one will bring in the much needed business, especially at a smaller park. Eric
  12. ^ And yet last May when we rented in Amarillo, TX, they said no problem if we wanted to drive to Albuquerque or Oklahoma City. About 20 years ago, I'd have considered Enterprise an "also ran," but now they're right up there with Hertz, Avis, Budget, etc. Eric
  13. Keep mushrooms away from me! Don't let any deli sandwiches (loaded with cold cuts and mayo---both of which I can't stand) get near me. And that goes for potato, macaroni, and other such salads as well (the mayo again). Eric
  14. ^ Home from school. < Still at work. V Still in diapers!
  15. ^ Funny...I've always thought of Enterprise as one of the "major" car rental companies. And I've never had any problems renting with them. Eric
  16. This was funny, but they could have (and should have) stopped at Chapter 1. Like The Hanging at Haunt last October, it ran a bit too long. Eric
  17. ^ Wants a cookie. < Wants chocolate. V Wants a can to kick!
  18. I think this ride would be a blast to ride. And I still think it'd be the perfect "Xtreme" ride to add at SFMM. It doesn't take up much room, so they could put it almost anywhere in the park. The top of the mountain would be great! Eric
  19. I'm at work now, but would rather be sleeping. I'm tired. Eric
  20. Sadly, yes. Have you ever peed on your shoe?
  21. ^ It's Fat Albert, ladies and gentlemen! Here I sit In my chair. Hid a cookie. I know not where. Eric
  22. ^ Takes self portraits. < Takes pictures of others. V Takes stuff from others!
  23. No, my CR-V is an automatic, but I did drive a 1983 Toyota Supra for 19 years and it had a five-speed manual transmission. Can you knit?
  24. ^ Possibly. I went there about 2:30 and was told it was closed, so I went over to ride Batman. Later on, I noticed Scream! running (about 4:30), so I took a ride and left. Eric
  25. ^ Why must you take that class? How will it benefit you? My rant for the day...we have to come up with some gag gifts for a guy who's retiring (former department head at a company for which we are subcontracted work). Trouble is, none of us knew him well enough to come up with anything really good. And for some reason, this actually takes precedence over our regular work. Rather stupid, really. Eric
