  1. Most of you probably already knew this, but two WDW Mark IV trains operated in Las Vegas for awhile in the mid-'90s when the line ran only between the MGM Grand and Bally's. I got to ride it one time there, but didn't take any pictures for some reason. Just before that line was expanded to its current length, the two old WDW trains were scrapped. I've seen pictures of at least one of them sitting in a junkyard all covered with graffiti. Eric
  2. ^ A light jacket with zippered pockets works just fine. That, and don't bring a lot of stuff you don't need. I hope there won't be cubbies in the station, and I hope people aren't allowed to put stuff on the side. That completely defeats the purpose of the lockers as well as slow down the load/unload process. Terminator trains will have less capacity than the typical B&M train, so any way of keeping the throughput up is essential. Eric
  3. ^ A little Del Taco history can be found here. Kind of interesting, actually. Eric
  4. ^ I'm sure he's talking about the computer generated video of the ride. Eric
  5. Once the train goes by, I can get over to Longs and pick up my prescriptions. Eric
  6. ^^ The more you eat at Del Taco, the more you'll discover that it really is better than Taco Bell. And Del Taco serves Coke products. We have a Taco Bell about a half mile from home---an easy eight-minute walk for me. I still get in the car and go across town to the Del. Eric
  7. "I seem to remember a tunnel on Roar West as well. It's been years since I've ridden it." (Manic Monte) It's been almost ten years since I rode it, and I don't believe there are any tunnels, but there is a covered section with open sides if memory serves. Eric
  8. Diana and I were out at the park today for awhile and saw the Terminator sign. She got a picture of it with her phone and sent it to me to post, but the one you posted is better, so I don't need to post mine. This ride is looking great and I can't wait to ride it. I doubt I'll make it to media day, but I'll get there. Eric
  9. ^ Loves Speed. < Loves waffles (but can't eat 'em anymore ) V Uses a waffle iron to toast their buns!

    B&M Rattle?

Personally, Scream! doesn't bother me at all. There is a vibration at the bottom of the first drop (rumor has it that the track piece was dropped during construction, but I don't know if that rumor is true). Though I haven't ridden it, I've heard that Iron Wolf at SFGAm is pretty rough. But it's 20 years old and was B&M's first official coaster. Vortex at CGA ain't exactly smooth, either. (Note that both of those are first-generation B&M standups...) Eric
  11. "The only details I got were 'the pretzel loop is more intense than Superman: Ultimate Flight'." (missingmusician) I wonder if it's as intense as the pretzel loop on Tatsu? That one is quite intense, especially in the last row. Eric
  12. ^^ and ^ You boys get to bed!!! It's WAAAYYY past your bedtime---and it's later on the East Coast anyway... Eric
  13. "...people who don't know was a sac fly is." (ParkTrips) I hate when those buzz all around your face and get in your hair. Eric
  14. Thank goodness for a new destination. I've been to Endor so many times over the last 20 years that I could fly there with my eyes closed. Eric
  15. This has been a rather...interesting...TR so far, but I have to admit it's been quite different and entertaining as well. Eric
  16. My daughter rode X long before riding Goliath. Diana refused to ride it because of...the height of the drop. Whenever she went with friends, they sat and rode while she walked through the train and waited at the exit. One day she was out there and as usual, waited with them. But this time, one of them sat her down and stapled her---she was going to ride whether she liked it or not. Goliath is now one of her favorite rides. Just goes to show that you have to at least try a new ride. If you don't like it, just don't ride it again. Eric
  17. ^ Chooses seedy movie theaters. < Wouldn't mind operating the camera. V Wouldn't mind babysitting for Octo-Mom!
  18. "When people refer to GCI as GCII. Is GCII even a company? If so, what does the second I stand for?" (netdvn) The full---and correct---name of the company is Great Coasters International, Inc., thus "GCII." Eric
  19. How many words can a spell check check if a spell check spells 'em wrong? Why didn't Wendy's founder Dave Thomas name the Wendy's chain after himself instead of his daughter?
  20. Because you're not really on the ball... Why are there one-way streets?
  21. ^ I know Diana was planning to be at SFMM as well, but she was still unsure as of midnight last night. This might be a nice weekend to get out there, but I already have plans and was just out there last weekend anyway. Eric
  22. Because I'm driving 40 miles on the freeway to work, my CR-V averaged 31 mpg on its last tank of gas! Eric
  23. "I'm not a big fan of people signing their posts." (Manny In England) Maybe I'm biased because I do that, but I don't have a problem if the person signs their real first name (as I do). A screen name doesn't usually reflect a person's real name. Today I got home from work and found five empty beer cans in the street by my driveway, and a sixth one up near the house. I wish I knew who was drinking beer and tossing the cans. But the upside is that I collected them and put them in with my own cans, so someone else's trash is more cash for me. Eric
  24. ^ Along that line is one of my peeves---and I see it here a lot as well. It's when people go back to edit a post to say "WOOHOO!!!1!!1!! MY 600th POST!!!1!!!" So. What? It's about quality, not quantity. Sure, I have a lot of posts, but then I've been here since 2005. Four years' worth. Eric
  25. Jungle Boogie. Once GM does away with the Pontiac brand, what will Pontiac owners do with their cars?
