  1. ^ I haven't been out to SFMM during the week for awhile, but until school lets out, I'd say that the park shouldn't be too crowded on a Wednesday. You can probably decide whether to get the Q-Bot after you arrive and check out the crowd. Eric
  2. "Is it a fresh pet burrito or has it gone bad?" (XII) Fresh. The freshest. See, that way it won't smell. Eric
  3. ^ I listen to that station, and I think I've heard that. It'd be great to win. Eric
  4. In all my years in Southern California, I have yet to visit the San Diego Wild Animal Park. It just never had much of a draw for me, I guess. Glad you enjoyed it, though. Eric
  5. ^ There was some junk out there when Psyclone, Shock Wave, and Sarejevo Bobsleds were there, so I can't imagine they'd remove it for Terminator. I would guess that testing of the ride continued tonight and will for a few days? Eric
  6. [approaches altar slowly and reverently] Oh, dear Title Fairy...my title was recently upgraded, but I now find that it needs to take a slightly different path. "TPR's Olden Goldie" would suit me just fine. Of course, this will be done as your schedule permits. Thank you ever so much. Eric
  7. Maybe when/if the Terminator license runs out, they'll take the Tony Hawk franchise to a new level...Tony Hawk's Big Wood. Eric
  8. ^ No, we got a pet burrito, all deep fried and such... Eric
  9. "...the ride successfully tested tonight!" (Robb) Great to hear! Those GCII guys really know their stuff! Eric
  10. ^ That's been brought up every time the Revolution OTSR issue has, and I believe Knott's got a variance of some kind, or it was grandfathered in...I forgot which. Eric
  11. ^ Had this been on a forum that I help moderate, then, yeah, I'd have called you on that, being that poor grammar is one of my biggest peeves. Anyway, 100 years ago, engineering wooden coasters was pretty much by the seat of your pants. And they worked just fine. Of course there were no Son of Beasts back then---most rides of the day weren't any bigger than our own Terminator here. They built it, and if it didn't work, they lowered or raised a hill, increased or decreased the banking of a turn, etc. Talking about the track profile made me think about that little hop coming out of the deadman turn. If done right, that will provide quite a pop of air, and I do look forward to it. Eric
  12. Sort of...I'm allergic to cat dander, and if such a critter were bigger than me---say, a lion---then, yeah, it could eat me. Do you leave your iPod in your car?
  13. There are, and they keep busy; hence, they're known locally as "slut machines." What causes people to be allergic to tree nuts, but not all kinds?
  14. I got a nice scratch on my hand when Chimichanga tried grabbing it to keep him from falling off. No, he didn't fall, but his eyes got reeeaaalll big. Eric
  15. Maybe Nevada has the same kind of law that California does regarding OTSRs on coasters with any inversions. Eric
  16. "Terminator already tested. Many times...on an AutoCAD engineering software. The good news? It works!" (SuperMikeo) AutoCAD? As a daily user of said program, I can tell you that unless you're kidding, there are FAR better ways to test this. ProE and SolidWorks come to mind... Eric
  17. This page number (1134) is my neighbors' address. Eric
  18. Still no name? Maybe you can just call him "Hey! Get Off Of There!" or "Get Back Here," since he's probably heard those a few times and might just think that's his name! Eric
  19. Yep. And I'm even taking the day off from work because of it. Do you ever jaywalk?
  20. No, but I'd like to sometime. Do you put mousse or gel in your hair?
  21. "WTF are italics???" (chmilo24) Wikipedia is your friend. Eric
  22. ^ They could, but the manufacturers want to save money. Remember that to them, "sugar" is spelled "$-U-G-A-R." Eric
  23. "I would think that, if nothing else, there will at least be a light effect on the fly-through." (DiSab) Fireworks? No, wait...this thing's made of wood! But some kind of tricked out LED type stuff would be cool. One thought I've had---on other GCII coasters with station fly-throughs, how much noise is made when the train zooms overhead? Could it disrupt any themed music that might be going? Eric
  24. This whole italics thing is absolute hilariousment. Eric
  25. ^ It's a good thing this is called "Pepsi Throwback," because I'll throw it back and get a Coke. "We usually get the 'Jew Coke' when it's out and it's SO much better." (Sir Clinksalot) Remember that you can get the same thing from the Latino grocery stores in our area all year. Eric
