only been a week since back on the wagon - but down 3.2lbs. hopefully by the end of May will be down under 200 again. -
^ it's great fun over a 3 day period . . but I'd say mainly it's for those that don't have SFFT as their home park. the "bonuses" offered during the event are great, if you've never done them - but as a "local" who's gone to a few events at the park, there was nothing there to grab me to go spend 3 days in San Antonio. But think it's a great event for those that want a reason to go to SFFT and spend a few days there. (the ERT in the waterpark is a HUGE advantage for those of y'all that like waterparks - LOL. . I don't so it's not a draw for me)

hmm. . perhaps they are going to be doing something on Volcano's site, and they need the access, so therefore have to remove portion of Avalanche track? -
Kings Island (KI) Discussion Thread

heh. . on MeTV, they are right now, showing the Brady Bunch episode of King's Island. it was filmed almost 50 years ago, and pretty much every ride they go on in the episode is now way, way gone. still cool to see Racer, Eiffel Tower, flyers, scrambler and the flume (I think that's still there, right?) that will look similar when I finally get to this park for the 1st time. (along with the way gone Monster, Rotor, Spinning barrels, Trabant, Bayern Kurve, Sky Buckets, Canoes, and so many more things from way back then). tho I think the neatest was in the overhead establishing shots of the Bradys riding Racer (maybe filmed from the Sky Buckets?).. the's clearly a ton of land clearing/construction going on to the right of the lift hill - that's where the Beast was built, right? -
Hersheypark (HP) Discussion Thread
bert425 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
JUST looking at those missing credits? Hershey, no question. StormRunner is my favorite coaster in the park, and SDL is quite fun if you were missing Twister, or Phoenix? I'd absolutely say Knoebel's - and it's always worth a visit anyways. . but if you're specifically going for these credits? Impulse is nothing really special, tho it's fun, and Flying Turns is unique, but not what I'd call an exciting ride. if it were simply a choice between Hershey & Knoebel's ? I'd say Knoebel's. . . but in this case? Hershey. -

the dining plan is totally worth it. . especially if you can get it on a sale. we do basic "Snack" and "Lunch". . but since so many of the larger meals are now considered snacks at our home park, it's more than enough food. if you can get it during a sale? two meals and you've paid for it. -

CDC just (like in the last hour) announced those vaccinated don't need masks indoors OR outdoors. so I expect new guidelines from the park prior to the upcoming Holiday weekend. -

Vekoma flyer, right? if yes, then I rode it at Carrowinds, and it (like Flight of Fear & Stunt Coaster) won't be super high on my ride list, unless I just want a break and spend some time "relaxing" in a line). -

knew I was gonna ask. .what the heck is "Tom & Chee' ? edit: ok, googled.. it's basically Melt. but we are gonna have some catered meals, so not sure I'll splurge elsewhere. . will play by ear. as to how packed - i'm not a "multiple rerides" person. . so if I get a couple of rides on each "big" coaster during ERT during Coasterstock, I'll be good and if it ends up being super packed and have to wait in some lines? I'm good with that, as it gives me a break. (y'all are most certainly not obligated to spend the full time with me :P. . I'm sure y'all will wanna go ride big stuff while I'm like: "I'm in the mood for multiple rides on the Carousel right now") -

real across the chain. I can mainly speak from experience at SFFT (tho assume it's the same everywhere). as someone noted, the insane food prices are likely meant to "encourage" folks to get meal plan - it really seems like you've gotten a great deal by getting meal plan when you see your "meal" would have cost $16.99 without the plan. as to the vending machine soda/waters? yeah, that's for people who want the convenience. At SFFT, there are vending machines with $8 sodas *literally* on the side of the Iron Rattler exit store - and inside the store? 2 for $13 (yes, 1.50 cheaper for each). -

actually just posted this update to my FB a little while ago: Super Stressful day at work today, but I started back on exercising, after stopping for ~3 months and putting back on ~30 lbs. only did 33 minutes, but it's 33 minutes more than yesterday! and I'll do my best to stick to it, as have just ~2 months before Kings Island (and gotta fit my ass in some coasters) and ~4 months until Dragon*con. -

^ you're right, I should know better (tho in my defense, I thought I was posting about the park - asking question about park policies). I'm very much looking forward to my first ever visit, and tho not expecting/planning to get fast lane - there for 2 days for CoasterStock, so expect will get plenty enough (for me) rides on the "big" coasters - I'm not seeing very much unique in terms of flats at the park. Mainly, I'm just seeing stuff that's at several other CF parks. Not that "not unique" will stop me from riding them. . but does KI have any unique flats that are worth checking out? -

not to open up any can of worms, just opinion here - but seeing pics from Passholder Preview opening (and yes, it looked packed). . I'm honestly shocked to see so many people without masks. yes, I know the park relaxed Mask Policies in outdoor areas - but I've seen station pics (with people crammed together) and many without any masks on. I thought they were still requiring masks on rides ? or is that another park I'm thinking of? regardless, my 1st ever visit to this park is in July, and I'm going to be bringing along cloth masks, and expect to be wearing them most of the time I'm in the park. -

Skyrocket has been running 1 train? really. . damn that would be a hella slow moving line with only 12 seats per cycle. that said, I didnt' love it, and it ranked near the bottom of the coasters at Kennywood for me. (I cared for Exterminator less). -

the Justice League rides are amazing when all the effects are working. next time you're around one? give it a ride, you'll love it. (it's a shooting dark ride. . think Toystory Mania crossed with SpiderMan). -
^ because pulling out a huge, expensive to run white-water raft ride, and paving over/replacing with a bunch of inexpensive carnival flats. . is still a "cost saving" measure? I can totally see they putting something in that area, that saves them a crap-ton of $$ in the future, by removing a rapids ride.
