the Japanese Grill at Hotel Breakers (and the Perkins for Breakfast) are pluses for me too. I can take or leave the TGI Fridays, tho the patio overlooking the beach/pool at that location is nice. as you noted, Zach, the bar (indoors and outdoors by the firepits, where they have waitress service) is wonderful. -

#1 argument to stay at Hotel Breakers (for me): PARKING yes, you get free parking at Breakers Express. . but Hotel Breakers is *on property* you do not have to move your car, you can get up and walk to the park entrance. you park your car the day you arrive - in Hotel Breakers lot. . and there. you're parked at Cedar Point (unless you make a trip to the CVS in town to stock up the mini fridge in the room). you do not have to get up early/early/early every day, get in your car, sit in traffic to get across the peninsula roadway, go thru the parking booths, find a spot (in the massive lot), and then walk to the front gate (remembering where you parked for later and dreading staying until close and getting stuck in the mass exodus across the causeway OUT of the park). you also have the benefit of being able to walk to your room, at any point during the day - literally a 5-15 minute walk (depending where in CP you start walking from) if you want to change your shoes, drop off something you bought, get a headache and want to get an aspirin from your luggage, soak your aching legs in a hot tub for 20 minutes. . etc. WORTH. EVERY. PENNY. to stay there. (even if the rooms are basically glorified Holiday Inn.. you're paying for the location, not the quality of the hotel) -

you're coming from overseas. spend the $$ and book at Hotel Breakers (which is on property, and easy walk to/from the park - so much so that you can go back to the room to put the leftovers from Melt! into the fridge). It's expensive, but oh so worth it, and the only way I'll do a multi-day trip to the park. (on property also gets you the best early entry perks, and you won't have to worry about parking) https://www.cedarpoint.com/resorts/hotel-breakers?gclid=Cj0KCQjw38-DBhDpARIsADJ3kjm8sOUGuYA1idwd3eqRO3rBLygPDgAmA8HtfwwHJCen7ZJvUar2THUaAh8HEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds -
the data on your phone saves it that way. the workaround is to open the pic and "edit". . flip it 180, save. then edit again to flip back to correct orientation and save again. that's the workaround on my phone for the pics that sometimes go upside-down. Fixed it for ya here tho (Yeah was pretty windy on Sat/Sun. . I'm sure that's why it valleyed)

water park officially opens for the season on 4/24 (so ~2 weeks). was there yesterday all day with TeacherKim and her Son, and the park was PACKED (even at only ~55% capacity - Park President told me when I asked that Reservations reflected ~17K people (we were at an "event" with a local group - that had also invited ACE since their Feb event had been cancelled due to Texas icestorm, so it was ~200 just in this goup - but so had a chance several times to chat with him thuout the day). but Bronze Flash Pass sold out, and even Gold or Platinum didn't save much time - Kim/Joel had bought them for the "free time" between event things, and the *FLASH PASS* line (once it tells you it's time to ride, so come to the flash pass line) was over 25 minutes on multiple things (including Wonder Woman, Joker, Bugs' Flume ride, and Iron Rattler). so. . . yeah. If the waterpark had been open, that would have helped a LOT, as it seems many, many people want to get out of the house, and out in the open air to have fun after a year + being extremely careful. Not helping was a power surge, that brought the *ENTIRE* park to a standstill just after 12:30 - tho they go the food service and several of the rides back, up really quickly, but it certainly impacted the bigger rides and made the lines even longer. I'll have trip report up in the next few days, but a few quick shots: - Daredevil Dive is *amazing* - tho I highly recommend riding on an empty stomach. (in a different chat with Jeffrey Siebert, he mentioned that each plane is programmed differently, so you'll get different amount of flips and/or upside-down hang depending which plane you're randomly assigned). - the park's version of a treat similar to an Universal offering (called Doctor Butterskotch's Elixir here at SFFT) is really, really good - and is available from the tap, frozen, or frozen with a whiskey floater. (my only issue with it really was that it's available only at ONE stand over by IR/DDD, and the stand also sells beer and shots of whiskey. . .so even a short 4 person line took well over 20 minutes, as the "bros" in front of us in line ordered beers, shots (which had to be measured / poured one at a time, with IDs checked and rechecked by the poor guy working the stand). Thirsty Buffalo is literally 15 feet away - send people who want shots/liquor to THERE for a drink, and keep this stand only for the Elixir please? (I gave this feedback to a supervisor while she was restocking his beer supply. . . .the "Bros" were all out drinking in the Texas heat on Saturday) -- Wonder Woman is running 3 trains, and Supes/Roadrunner/Goliath are running 2. *but* Iron Rattler is single train operations - hopefully the 2nd train will be back on the track by the time you go back. . as 1 train operations easily had 2 1/2 - 3 hour lines. (but even Bug's Flume had a 2 hour + line (we overheard a guy telling his kids in front of him as the log left the station right by the Flash Pass entrance "I really hope this ride is worth the 2 hour wait"). - food operations were pretty good, considering they all got SLAMMED when the power surged and all rides went down (and food came up first). Yes, it took 45 minutes for Totally Kicken Chicken (and Mobile ordering would NOT work for either myself or Kim via the app). . but that's quicker than I expected considering how crowded the park was. anyways. . like I said, full report coming up in the next few days, including many pics from the climb up Goliath's lift hill and Lights on walking tour thru Pirates that we got to do).

I too went thru clicking on the buy tab (but didn't buy). the purchase page CLEARLY states, you must have a ticket for the Power Hours ($19.99) to enter the event from 6-11 pm. but there's no point in discussing further, as noted tho, seems clear to me, this is a charged event regardless if you are a passholder or member. - hope you're right and i'm incorrect tho. Let us know if you go next Friday and it's free! -

that's not the purchase page - so they're just defaulting to note reservations are required. click on the purchase option and it brings you to the purchase page: that at the top has Membership, Season Pass, 1-day ticket options. then below the Power Hours as a separate add on option. so yeah. . I totally read this as they are charging for the after hours limited crowd. -

^ dunno where you are getting that. the "Buy" page, totally reads as if the only way to access the Power Hour is to purchase the add on. so you have to either have a pass/membership, or buy a day ticket to get in. . and the add-on $20 gives you access to the Power Hours I have zero issue with that. . it's a "bonus" added on for those willing to pay, just like some of the parties at Disney (which are not included in the cost of ticket) -

yeah, it's strange how Goliath is so much more forceful than many of the Batman clones (the only one that I can compare it to is Batman at SFOG in terms of forcefulness) I've not ridden Great White, but will in May (Planning to go to SWSA for the 7 Seas Food Festival) -

wonder what the total attendance was set at? Did they attempt to keep it smaller, and hence sold out so quickly? hope to meet up with some of my fellow TPR folks while there! -
got literally ZERO work done this morning, but did manage to get ticket to CoasterStock at Kings Island, a Hotel Booked, a Rental Car booked, a Flight Booked, and time off requested for it. pretty dang good, for something that was just mentioned to me as an idea that "you should attend, it's always very good" on Friday. . oh, and tickets go on sale Monday, so you have to decide quickly. it's gonna be an adventure! a park and city I've never been to. and it made me very happy. . now, if Covid can just stay under control (sorta) for 3 months, so as not to screw up this trip (or Dragon*con in Atlanta over Labor Day weekend), I'll be VERY happy.

Rented a car. in MY case. . .since going for Coasterstock - really wont' be doing anything in Cincinnati other than driving thru it to get to Kings Island tho the car will allow me to stop on the way there from Airport on Thursday to grab something local for dinner. . so that's a plus.

^ sounds like a lot of folks are excited about it. . . we shall see if able to get a ticket tomorrow EDIT: and . . done. Ticket bought, hotel booked. Now just have to get time off work, get flight/car, and I'll be able to knock Kings Island / the Beast off my bucket list! -
the design of Wondys trains is ABSOLUTELY necessary. . the farther back in the train you are? the different the experience. the front is mainly floater air - the back is *extreme* ejector air. trust me, those collars aren't the dreaded "comfort" collars - they are there to keep you from flying out of the damn coaster from the ejector air. glad you got on! you missed your chance to ride the worlds 1st S&S Freespin? (Batman) come back in the summer - it will be hot as hell (but the Texas parks give free cups of water when you ask for them).. BUT, the Whitewater Bay waterpark area will be open - that drains most folks from the dry areas of the park, and you'll have light lines until early afternoon (when folks start to leave the waterpark after lunch).

I think I'm going to give it a shot. . 1st time ever. tix on sale Monday, and if can get a ticket, THEN will try to figure out hotel/air/getting to the park, and of course, a couple of days off work to attend. -

^ oh. .it's NEVER just 5 large member cups. Friends (or kids) come up, and hand their cups to the people in line as well. So frustrating! -
I'm sorta considering attempting Coastershock this year - tho the cost of getting from Cincy airport to KI is giving me stickershock at the moment. what's the best way to get to the park, if not renting a car? (or is renting a car the way to go, even tho it would be sitting in the hotel parking lot for 3 days)?

WonderWoman is SUPER fluffy friendly. did you try the test seat out front? try it tomorrow and check. . it could be that you just got in a weird seat with shorter connector or something? (when I was there last month, they tried to tell me I was too big and I assured them that I have ridden this coaster dozens of times. . . and after moving back one seat, fit no problem. so you may just have gotten a "bad" seat. . . try the tester out front tomorrow to confirm if you can fit. (its' just to the left of the entrance)
