Celebrities and Athletes you've met...
Leaping La Ronde Boobis replied to SixFlagsTexas's topic in Random, Random, Random
Stephen Colbert- at a Daily Show event for Just For Laughs in 2005 (hell of a nice guy) Amy Sedaris- at the canadian premiere of Strangers With Candy Paul Dinello- also at SWC premiere Stephen Lynch- I drove seven hours to Wilkes-Barre, PA to see his show Michael Showalter and Michael Ian Black of STELLA- they were doing standup seperately in Burlington, VT. All that's left is David Wain. Chris Jericho- at an autograph signing For all you online Disney fans out there: Mike Scopa, Matt Hochberg, Len Testa, Lou Mongello, Mike Newell, Deb Wills and Dave Marx at Magicmeets 07 Dave Simon (my brother) and "Big Tuna" from the Ringside Report saturday nights on the team 990 AM in Montreal (cheap plug) -
I didn't know you were coming up here, I love giving tours to La Ronde to random strangers (You wouldn't believe how many people actually let me guide them). I like to call La Ronde the Bi-Polar park. When its on a good day it's great and it's hard not to have a good time but when it's on its bad day... "sigh". This seemed like a good day. Goliath is a great ride with amazing airtime (I like to go completely limp on the ride, it's a strange feeling on the airtime hills) with great operations compared to the rest of the park. Question: did you get to ride the french Spongebob 3-D simulator, it's interesting.... interesting and painful. GOLIATH RIDE COUNT: 51

Hersheypark's ERT policy
Leaping La Ronde Boobis replied to Leaping La Ronde Boobis's topic in Ask Alvey
I'm back and the MagicMeets 07 Hersheypark trip went off without a hitch. There was ERT for a half hour on Storm Runner and I got two rides in. On behalf of everyone at the meet, thank you TPR for letting me know that something like ERT existed. -
New Theme Park in New Mexico?
Leaping La Ronde Boobis replied to crispy's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Whoa, that's the guy who was on CoasterRadio.com, he spoke about the this theme park he thought up and how he was getting investors. I thought he was either kidding or insane. I now stand corrected, man that was a good podcast. -
Last concert you attended?
Leaping La Ronde Boobis replied to BeemerBoy's topic in Random, Random, Random
Stephen Lynch 4/21 at the Panasonic Theatre in Toronto This man is a GOD, he sang all the classics (Craig, Special, Priest) as well as some new material. there was so much interaction with the audience, much more than expected. This is the second time I've seen Stephen Lynch. I once drove seven hours to Wilkes-Barre, PA to see him. I feel like such a deadhead for musical comedy. Maybe I'm a little bit special. After all he is my idol and inspiration to take up guitar so I had to see him again. It's the best live show I've ever seen and I've seen Seinfeld and script readings of Simpsons and Family guy. -
Hey R&E I'm going to PA in July for Magic Meets (A Disney superfan convention) and they're organizing a trip to Hersheypark. We'll be a pretty big group and ERT would be great but there's only one problem. How does one attain such a perk? Any help is greatly appreciated

What is your favorite TV-series?
Leaping La Ronde Boobis replied to Hattuchili's topic in Random, Random, Random
The Office (US), That show is consistently amazing and always leaves me satisfied and wanting more. That's what she said. Well written and brilliantly acted, I live for The Office. -
Sure I'll meet up with you. I'm counting down the days until La Ronde opens and my coaster withdrawal ends. I've cleared my schedule and I'm going on saturday and sunday barring unforseen circumstances. A nickel's worth of free advice, avoid the Spongebob 3-D simulator at all costs. Yes it's strangely funny to hear spongebob in french but this ride makes BTTF seem like Top thrill dragster.

Any WWE fans in the house??
Leaping La Ronde Boobis replied to coasterguy4's topic in Random, Random, Random
I've been a WWE fan since I've attended my first PPV, Survivor Series 97 (That's right, the screwjob was my first event). My brother hosts a wrestling radio show and interviewed Maria and C.M. Punk, so it's in my blood. A fond memory I have is when a SmackDown taping came and I had seats right by the entrance walkway. John Cena was making his entrance and this was during the spinning U.S. title before WM21, he was a major face with a lot of support. I didn't like him then I don't like him now. Anyway he making his way down and my brother and I stuck our middle fingers in his face and shouting "CENA SUCKS and YOU'RE A DISGRACE". Those were happy times and a sign of things to come. I'm watching Wrestlemania 23 at a movie theater, it's quite the experience especially WM. I'm saving up now for DisneyMania in 2008. -

BTTF or Biff To The Future
Leaping La Ronde Boobis replied to Leaping La Ronde Boobis's topic in Random, Random, Random
My fave role of his ( Other than Biff) was Coach Fredricks in the extremely prematurely cancelled Freaks And Geeks -
I was scouring Youtube and found a neat video of Tom Wilson's (Biff Tannen) stand up act which includes a song about all the questions he's asked about Back To The Future. Enjoy

Nice Pictures, I scrape the internets for DQ pictures. Thanks for fufilling my craving. That's amazing that you stood next to Scopa. In august I stayed at Scopa towers ( Pop Century for those who don't listen to WDW Today) and I got to meet him and have a great conversation with him, nice guy. -
