  2. The Silver Bullet crew is fun!!! ... They can definitely get annoying, but they actually are kind of funny sometimes. The last time I was there they were trying to guess what B&M stood for and eventually settled on Bonaduce and Malibu.
  3. I've been on Riddler's Revenge and Mantis. Riddler used to be the easy choice for me, but in 2004 I somehow caught Mantis at a time when the drop trim was not coming on. It was still a bit rough, but it was also proabably the most intense B&M I've ever ridden. Each element before the MCBR just had that extra little bit of kick. I got right back in line afterward to take advantage of it while I still could, but on my third go-around the trim finally came on and I decided not to wait. With the trim off, Mantis is a top ten coaster for me, but when it's applied I really couldn't see myself waiting any more than 45 minutes for it. Overall I think it's best to compare coasters in the condition in which they typically run, in which case Riddler is still a bit better.
  4. Schwarzkoph shuttles, especially ones like Bullet at Flamingo Land: http://www.rcdb.com/ig818.htm Vekoma Invertigos are pretty good too.
  5. Incredible Hulk, Manhattan Express, X, Top Thrill Dragster. The absolute worst had to be when I waited 80 minutes for a night ride on Rattler at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, the ride that makes Mean Streak and Psyclone feel like B&M's.
  6. I may have said Batman: The Ride in another thread, but now that I think about it, my first inverting coaster was Canyon Blaster at Circus Circus Adventuredome. I believe I also rode Manhattan Express before B:TR.
  7. ^ It would still make Millennium Force the tallest and fastest lift-driven coaster though. Your theory isn't dead yet!
  8. Racer still had a good deal of air when I rode it a few years ago. It's been my second or third favorite coaster at PKI ever since they castrated Beast in 2002... Ghostrider back in the day, Magnum, or Gemini are probably the most air-filled coasters I've ridden.
  9. Too bad if Steel Dragon does get scrapped, but I suppose it's better than just letting it sit there and collect dust while they could use the space for something else. They could fit a whole coaster in just the turnaround area alone.
  10. The batwing is before the MCBR, but there's a trim leading in to it after the zero-g-roll.
  11. B&M zero-g-rolls are too inconsistent for me to vote for them. They're great on some coasters like Kraken or Medusa west, but they do absolutely nothing for me on others like Batman: The Ride or Superman Krypton Coaster. Immelmans (hence my name) and batwings are my favorites. When the trim is off, Montu's batwing is one of the most intense elements I've ever been through and the two immelmans on Dueling Dragons Fire just make the ride.
  12. I think it's really going to be a toss-up between this and Voyage for the title of best new coaster next year. I'm more pumped for Black Mamba than I have been for a coaster in years even though I won't be riding it any time soon.
  13. For me it was Big Thunder Mountain at WDW. I probably rode it five or six times that day. My first "big" coaster was Batman: The Ride at SFMM.
  14. That was such a great commercial. I laughed my ass off when I first saw it on TV.
  15. Doesn't Magnus Colossus at Terra Mitica have a similar age rule? It's supposed have some extreme air on its double down drop too. Considering all the attention Hades gets, I think Cyclops actually looks nearly as good after watching that video.
  16. Black Mamba and Voyage will probably be the best, but I'm most looking forward to El Torro. That and Tatsu are the only ones I'll get to ride next year and both of them should be easy top tens for me.
  17. Magnus Colossus at Paramount's Terra Mitica. I just think that ride looks incredible with the double dip and all. I would be very skeptical riding it though, as it's made by RCCA... Some others that I have actually ridden are: Vortex at PKI Racer at PKI Mantis (without the trim its one of the best B&Ms I've done) Canyon Blaster at Circus Cicrcus Adventuredome
  18. For me it's Gemini. It's a bit bumpy (but not necessarily rough) in some spots, but has good airtime and you can almost always count on a short wait. Gemini is probably the most re-ridable coaster I've been on. I will probably get the chance to ride Lightning Racer this summer so my opinion could change after that.
  19. Three or four years ago I would have said Ghostrider was the best, but considering the condition its running in these days, Top Gun is probably the best. I haven't been on Grizzly yet, so I guess Psyclone or Boomerang are the worst for me.
  20. 1. Kraken 2. Raptor 3. Millennium Force 4. Kumba 5. Dueling Dragons 6. Montu 7. Magnum XL-200 8. Flight of Fear 9. Mantis (without the trim) 10. Ghostrider
  21. I gray out a lot in Intamin overbanked turns for some reason. It happens consistently on Millennium Force from the pullout of the drop up until the first tunnel and occasionally the first turn on Xcelerator. Strangely it has not happened on any other type of element.
  22. I think Skyhawk is a good move. I don't mind at all that Cedar Fair is putting simlar coasters and flats into all their parks. If the rides are good I really don't see what the problem is unless they start to go overboard with it. Skyhawk should be a good addition and give something else to do in the Frontier Town area of the park. I'm just happy CP is finally getting serious about having a more balanced collection of thrill rides.
