Help me help my Friend Please
DarkStitch626 replied to spike's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Anxiety can be a huge factor to deal with. As Elissa Says starting small can be good. Even just sitting in a Test seat can aid and show just how secure it will be. My gf who was afraid of coasters got on Intimidator because I helped her through her own amxoety. -

Long break runs on Intamins are not new. Long break runs on B&Ms most definitely are.... especially when they're a good 50-100 ft in the air. Are you kidding me? Look at the Rid of steel and Superman at SFA brake run...BARELY long enough to fit the entire train on . Though I will admit Thunder Dolphin at Laqua's brakes are INSANELY tooo long. http://rcdb.com/699.htm?p=7101 Superman Ride of Steel, the brakes after the station are maybe 50 feet or less in length to the station. -

Actually its not pano'ramic trains. Thats the way B&M ships the trains..the wheel covers are under the black wrapping, they did that with Talon and a few other rides like Silver Bullet. -
What if , I know the chance of a Wing rider is high. But, spit balling , does anyone remember the new version of the S&S "free fly" with the new seats that was shown off at what was it Knotts a few years ago during a TPR event? the "X-fly" or what ever it was called? http://themeparkreview.com/parks/pimages/Knotts_Berry_Farm/West_Coast_Bash_2010/wcb_kbf__91f.jpg

LOL griff, you and Nathan are always hilarious. I only wish I could have joined you guys!. -
Christina, try to remember not using X...and D together here . I forgot to warn you about "word filters" it translates to "I like small boys in tights" , which was a filter based after ME using the two letters I shall not slam together. Robb told me this a while back. But yes, I know how much you miss CGA, and GOD be willing I WILL go there this year atleast once to get my missed credits!, ah well Atleast I was in the employee parking lot .

Yes Erik thank you for the cool report. Honestly, I always love seeing the reports you do. The Disney Dream is one place I will ALWAYS want to be on if I can ever afford it. The KSC, is another place I last enjoyed in 2006 I believe it was. Some of the artifacts and past rockets/pods were always cool to see the engineering of.

It might be done because of census reports? When its 90 degrees out, I DANG sure after a 30+ minute wait WANT to get wet. In Winter and late autumn I'd prefer the little mini splash. I just think a lot of people complain of the couple of water spots on the shirt after the ride to be a little childish.

Andrew aka Pufferfish, talk to him, He does not like rides like Splash downs, because all their purpose is , would be to get you wet. "Theres no fun in that" he told me once. Kid doesn't even like water parks BUT heres the kicker. HE NOW WORKS AT BLIZZARD BEACH . I did manage at Cedar Point to get him to ride Shoot The Rapids though.

I actually somehow think it wasn't suppose to be an INVERTED maybe they worded it different or wrong could have meant "Inverting" as in launches like normal they goes upside down a la a TOPHAT like a giant Mr. Freeze with a twist? Correct me if I am wrong. A bit late in the game I KNOW. tHE MAP AND Concept art looked to show a regular TTD clone but Red.

I like the color blue, I'm with you that it looks fine. Definitely fits the "Oktoberfest" color scheme, so I don't see what the problem is. The Gawdawful color schemes of the Drop Towers at the former Paramount properties are FAR uglier. I don't see any reason to complain. I am kind of annoyed people ALREADY judge it before even riding it. I DO how ever wonder as of watching the Youtube video of the Tivoli version. Will BGE's version stop at the top before dropping or will it get get up there and just drop. I know BGE did say there are MANY surprises in store for it.

Even when I worked at Carowinds it was not mandatory. I also worked a similar ride , a Looping ship, the Frenzoid aka Southern Star, we were told to watch for coins falling etc and if we caught "spitters" we were allowed to have them ejected from the park. I do not know of any written laws here in the states for such a thing. Though hes we did have a spiel for such a thing.

Yea I see this on EVERY drop tower I've ridden, people spit and its nasty! or the parachute ride at SFGADV, infamous for people dropping and squeezing out ketchup and honey packets. Why not install Scream guards like on oh what was it Maliboomer? That said in a joking way. I DO how ever see it the most on Drop tower at Carowinds recently. They do not do hand checks. You just sit down they check your harness and then call it an all clear. As I also remember from the past the operators of Dominater (S&S tower) at Dorney park. They use to wear hard hats to prevent anything.
