  1. I'll be at the park next week & just had a question about their loose article policy? Not sure if it's worth bringing a bag or to just use my good old cargo pants lol.
  2. As long as no lightening, you can ride in the rain Rain in the summer sure beats rain in Nov/Dec or even Mar and I've done both at DW. Good to know thanks!
  3. I think the new Blink 182 album California is amazing! Been rocking out to it since it's release! I was nervous though on what the band would sound like without Tom & I think they sound so much better
  4. I'm going to be at Dollywood next Wednesday & Thursday! While LR is a big draw I haven't been to the park sine 2006. I can't wait to get some new credits in especially Mystery Mine (I've been dying to ride this for some reason, maybe because they built it the year after I went lol) plus Wild Eagle will be my first B&M Winged coaster. Now the weather just has to cooperate!
  5. You can opt out and even skip the line by going to the fast pass entrance. If you're riding with people who want to wear the helmet, you'll have to wait in line though. The only other VR coaster I've ridden allowed you to opt out, but did not have a "skip the line" option when I rode it. Thanks! Sorry for the random question I was just curious. I definitely want to check out a VR coaster one of these days.
  6. Nice who did you see? & exactly! I've always liked Dorney. We go there every year for Halloween Haunt too. Basically every ride was a walk on! Georgia Force here in the Atlanta area. I don't recall who they played against. Sadly, Georgia Force folded a few years ago. I have a love hate with Dorney. It makes me sad that most of the parks history is completely gone, and yeah they don't have any super intense impressive standout coaster, but the park is still very nice, they have a solid lineup of decent coasters (hey I like Hydra, don't get the hate), and Demon Drop is one of a kind now basically. At the end of the day, they are basically the largest park to not have bad lines so it really is a hidden gem in that respect. I remember the Georgia Force! It's a shame so many teams (including the Arena Bowl champs from last year) aren't around. The league is growing though with D.C. adding a team next year & hopefully more to follow. I'm glad Dorney is keeping Thunderhawk around. It really is their last true classic. I can't believe Steel Force will be 20 next year!

  8. It is! Very intense too. The players don't make nearly as much as other athletes so it's cool watching a group of guys actually caring about the game. jynx242 thanks it was a much needed Daycation!
  9. Question about the New Revolution, do you have to wear the VR headset or can you opt out?
  10. My last trip to a theme park was GADV back on August 27, 2014. When you're 26 & married, have a mortgage, & with a baby on the way your priorities change dramatically. Anyway for Father's Day this year I got my Dad tickets to see the Philadelphia Soul Arena football team & we decided to go to Dorney in the morning since the game was a 6pm in the Allentown PPL center. The forecast called for rain, but that didn't stop us! On to the TR: It rained on the way to the park. The skies have opened up! First up Steel Force! Such a great coaster! Can't go wrong with a good old classic woodie! Thunderhawk got some shiny new trains this year! I've always admired the signs at Cedar Fair parks! Stinger! Dominator! Went on the Drop side (green). Talon: The Grip of Fear is such an awesome coaster! Before Talon I went on the Wild Mouse just forgot a pic. Standard Maurer Wild Mouse design. Fancy sign! Nice little B&M floor less coaster. I passed on Possessed this time. Not a fan. At around 4:30 we made our way to the PPL Center. I ended the day having ridden 6 coasters & 10 laps. Got on Steel force 4x! No new credits so I'm still at a healthy 315. Are you ready for some football!? The field is 50 yards long. The field goal posts are 9 ft wide unlike the outdoor game's 18 ft wide. Getting ready for a TD! One of the many. if you're a fan of the sport of (American) football I recommend giving Arena Football a watch. It's a very fast pace intense game. There's only 8 teams this season, but they still play 16 games like the NFL. I'm a big sports fan & this sport is one of my favorites! Oh & this sport can be very high scoring! I tell people it's a mix of basketball & hockey. Thanks for reading my TR. I will be going to Dollywood next week! Hoping Lightning Rod works for me.
  11. Can't wait to get there this summer. Going in July. Sorry for this random question, but: Haven't been to the park since 05' & don't remember if they have single rider lines or not? I'll be going in the middle of the week while my wife is at a convention so won't care where I sit & I'll be by myself. If not I'm considering getting their Q2Q Time Saver.
  12. 22 & my first coaster was the old Clementon Lake Jack Rabbit in my home town of Clementon, NJ & I was about 4 or 5 when I rode it.
  13. South Park has been my favorite show for as long as I can remember. I'm also really into the Big Bang Theory, Modern Family, Criminal Minds, American Pickers, Pawn Stars, American Restoration, & Counting Cars. I watch too much T.V. lol.
  14. Talon at Dorney Park yesterday (October 13). Unfortunately it was the last coaster ride of 2012.
  15. I've had my black 32GB iPhone 5 since launch day & love it! I haven't had any problems with the maps or camera. Once in a while it is a little laggy & froze once but apart from that it's great! Definitely going to be my phone for a few years!
  16. Linkin Park August 17, 2012 in Camden, NJ! LP has been my favorite band since I was 10! That was the 3rd time I saw them in concert & won't be the last! Simply amazing!
  17. Thanks! I gotta say though planning a wedding is harder than proposing was! Btw since this is a coaster site I should add that I proposed to her on top of a ferris wheel!
  18. Happily engaged to the love of my life since June 9, 2012! Getting married in June 2014! My fiance & I on I305 July 1st, 2012!
  19. This coaster looks amazing! I never got on Son Of beast so it's nice to see a new woodie with an inversion. Definitely want to try & ride it next year!
