  1. Those Google Map images are from last year. Notice that SkyHawk isn't there. If you actually use the Google Earth application there are images from April 2016.
  2. You know guys....if you take a closer look around the WWC area you might some find some interesting things (yes it does have to do with the red markers). Take a walk through the Timber Wolf Falls queue line and look how the markers are placed.
  3. ^its a joke that has been going on in the Dollywood thread because of Lightning Rod's delays. Hence the hashtag #Itllneveropen
  4. ^They are not being rude...you asked your question in the wrong thread
  5. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe there is a sensor on the track that triggers the door to open. A cool little fact is that the door is actually made out of foam. Why? Because of the high speed the car is going as it accelerates towards the door, if the door does not open for whatever reason and the e-stop that is triggered doesn't stop the car in time, by making the door out of foam, it is considered "safe" for the car to hit the door. Apparently in the early days of the ride a e-stop wasn't activated so the car would literally ram right through the door.
  6. ^^What's his position at the park? If it is anything below Area Manager there is a 0% chance he knows anything.
  7. It's been updated: https://www.canadaswonderland.com/images/uploads/file/Park-Map_2800.jpg
  8. Behemoth has quite a rattle....especially at the bottom of the first drop.
  9. I was referring to Cedar Fair. Not only is Sea World a different company but they are in a completely different financial situation as well.
  10. I don't understand why people still believe in these "pattern" theory's.
  11. ^You mean Kings Island? And lets not say "2018 is definitely our year" because a) we've already said "2016 is definitely our year" and b) the 2016 season hasn't even started!!!! No one knows what the SkyRider plot looks like right now!!!!
  12. Like the Lance said himself, the tech would have to be perfectly flawless....like 0% chance of something going wrong. I'm not saying its not possible but I have my doubts given that technology is NEVER 100% perfect no matter how much money you put into it; something is bound to go wrong somewhere at sometime. Because the driver cabin is so close to where people will be sitting, what if the truck stops a little in front of it's "target zone" for whatever reason. Is Kong going to attempt to take an actual passenger away??? (I know this is an extreme example ) I think there are too many scenarios where things can go wrong for them to implement something like that. But if they do, then hey, I'm not complaining!
  13. Thats completely false. Behemoth at Canada's Wonderland doesn't use its trim brakes that often and barely uses the MCBR. Sometimes the first trim brake is used but the second and third are never used. Back in 2008 the trims were used more often.
  14. It did sound like there was a little trim on the MCBR (on the POV) but that train was still hauling a**.
  15. SkyHawk is definitely going to be having major capacity issues. Not only will the regular line be long but with Fast Lane Plus, the ratio is going to probably be somewhere around 6 FLP per cycle, limiting the regular line down to 18 people per cycle.
  16. ^Training can be done in a day or two. But I still agree April is unlikely.
  17. I think what he is trying to say is that they could have built some smaller scale prototype to see the results.
