  1. I'd say it is doubtful. The Lake George area is unique in that many families go there on local vacations and not just for The Great Escape. I don't think any other SF parks in are "destination" areas like Lake George. Six Flags Great Adventure?
  2. I wonder if other Six Flags will add hotels as well. Clearly it must be doing well with the Premium Suites and Buyout.
  3. Dollywood & Silverwood Theme Park mainly cause there is no major airport for 100+ miles And from what I've heard Legoland Florida
  4. Might have to invent a front of the line pass for this ride Knoebel's. "Phoenix Phast Pass?"
  5. There are some enclosed body slides that scare me thinking by the end of the ride I'll look like a Final Destination death as it goes from 1 section to another. I wish waterpark companies would build 1 long slide and not divided into 5-6ft (guessing) sections.
  6. 53. Anyone notice how they use Kumba's picture for Montu at #51?
  7. Have you ever been to Carowinds and ridden their God-awful offerings? A 50 million investment could have given the park several excellent offerings to improve the park. You need a huge rollercoaster or else you wont get business? Maybe Disney needs to reconsider their model I hope the retrack on hurler makes a big difference, I've ridden it without trims and it becomes a much better ride... it could see a good improvement from fresh topper. The retrack on thunder road was night and day, glad they're going to finish it. The new color scheme on afterburn sounds unnecessary and frankly, unappealing... whatever. The article on the 300ft "wing coaster" sounds like BS. If it is some sort of wing deign, I can't imagine it being b&m. Carowind's is regional, Disney is well Disney aka Destination.
  8. The final hill on Ghost Rider Cause then the ride is done. I know lame joke.
  9. This is the Ultimate Fail for a coaster: Orphan Rocker at Scenic World. Under construction since 1988! http://rcdb.com/1870.htm
  10. If you didn't know Now you know And Knowing is Half The Battle G I JOE... COBRA!!!!!
  11. Update according to their Facebook page. On September 11th (The most recent update on the coaster) they are building a pathway to the ride.
  12. Her bunions are bothering her and she's gassy. She has a bad back and cataracts in both eyes and she's lack lactose intolerant. That is a true quote from a theatrically released movie released in the last 3 years.
  13. Ejector air. I feel that Floater air is a fluke sometimes.
  14. This is my happening.. and it freaks me out!
  15. I hope they change the cars to forward facing cause with the current seats, You can only see 1/2 of the scenery. I had to constantly turn my head to see all the stuff behind me.
  16. American Eagle @ SFGAm Boss @ SFStL Ghost Rider @ Knott's Hurler @ Carowind's Cyclone @ Six Flags New England Raging Bull @ SFGAm (I can wish can't I?)
  17. It's a bad pun about how someone said on here that The worst thing ever would be if Six Flags acquired Busch. Plus from what I've seen on here, Not alot of TPR's like Six Flags (Mainly due to Premier Parks watering them down).
  18. Yes and No. Remember this isn't 2006 when Johnny Rockets/Panda Express/Cold Stone/ Ben & Jerry's/ Papa Johns took over every spot. This is 1994.
  19. BREAKING NEWS: Six Flags to acquire Hawaiian Escape. Based on the News Announcement Q&A, Here's A Few Things I heard about the 5 year plan (1994-1999): - A Batman The Ride Coaster - A Simulator Building - Waterpark Expansion - A Second Kids Area - Stronger Emphasis on Brands and Looney Tunes - A Launch Coaster Date June 8th, 1993
  20. Cedar Fair needs to teach Six Flags a thing or 2 about early construction.
  21. 1988-1993! Added for 1988 Splish and Splash in 1989 The Kids Area is Modified To Make it Easier Kiddieland has been renamed Candy Kingdom 1 of 2 New Rides for 1990 And A Kiddy Log Flume First Ride Removal, Volcano Golf Mini Golf Thrill The Triton in 1991, A B&M 2 Looping Stand Up Coaster And Some Laser Tag for 1992 And A Gigantic Waterpark also for 1992 (Well Big for 1992) And A Gigantic Kids Area Expansion for 1993, With a New Mini Golf Course as well Overview of the park, Circa 1993 Coming Up... Prepare to Cry!
  22. Have you ridden Shockwave at Canada's Wonderland?
  23. Probably less painful than Green Lantern. Shoot, I'd take Colossus 100x over Green Lantern again. I might even consider Ghost Rider over Green Lantern
  24. Turbine/Psych Underground @ Walibi Belgium also had a flywheel launch and according to rcdb.com, Not only did Gerstlauer build a new train but they also turned the flywheel launch into a LIM launch as well. (Monte also uses a Flywheel launch) Granted, I know that Turbine/Underground and Montezooma are different in ride length and height but the overall system is the same.
