  1. I just hope it won't be a Krake Clone. Please B&M Add some camelbacks or something.
  2. I dont think that a second train would cost more than buying a motel. That's what I thought when he said. Even my Mother who doesn't keep track of coaster stuff thought he sounded cheap.
  3. In an interview he said he doesn't buy 2 trains for Hades cause it costs money to maintain 2 trains. HA HA HA HA!
  4. Southern California. LA Seems to have more park diversity than Orlando: LA Six Flags Cedar Fair (Knott's) Universal Disney (2) SeaWorld Lego Orlando Disney (4) SeaWorld Universal (2) Lego Plus while Orlando Universal has been expanding heavily, West Coast Disneyland has expanded more than Disney World. You can argue that Six Flags and Knott's are not equal with (Insert Orlando Park here) but they offer alternatives like Fun Spot/Fun Spot Orlando/Old Town for people that can't afford Disney.
  5. It's funny how Ouimet is doing good and making $850,000 but Shapiro didn't really do good (financially at least) and his salary was $1,300,000 http://www.bizjournals.com/denver/stories/2006/10/02/daily21.html
  6. I've never seen the show so I can't say but based on racism/sexism I think they really stepped over the lines. Love at First Fright for example has pop culture references but doesn't have the race jokes (They did make a "Because I'm green" joke) so I hope they get rid of the racism and tone down the sexism if they ever do the show again (Probably under a different name).
  7. This is EXACTLY why I would go with Cedar Fair. As much as people may have disagreed with Mark Shapiro, the Six Flags properties were in MUCH better shape under his direction. I don't know how much "better" the parks were under his reign. We're talking about Dark Knight thrill coasters (Why theme a family coaster to a PG-13 Movie?), Not advertising some rides (I don't remember one ad of any kind for Buccaneer Battle), and the Dick Clark video shows (Which as Shapiro has stated "Will be cheaper to operate but just as entertaining"). I'm not saying Jim or Al Webber or (Insert former or future CEO of Six Flags) is/was perfect but I was also not a fan of Shapiro.
  8. I'm not trying to feud with you but SeaWorld Parks has been famous for quality and look at the parks this year. Have you visited a Six Flags park this year?
  9. Air was the first B&M Flying Coaster but VEKOMA made the first flying coaster in 2000.
  10. Just going by this year, Here's what I found: Six Flags CON- Some Flash Pass rides only allow rides for a certain time and not the whole day CON- Major rides taking WAY to long to open (Shock Wave at SFOT, Orbit at SFGAm, Boomerang at SFStL) PRO- Adding something new to every park for 2014 (Michigan's Adventure, California's Great America is left in the cold for 2014) PRO- Trying to turn current coasters into new coasters by turning the coasters backwards (Batman, Viper, Canyon Blaster, Mr. Freeze) PRO- Creative Announcement Videos CON- Really Generic Park Souvenirs PRO- Story: At SFGAdv I was ready to go to the park to ride Nitro but the park was going to close an hour earlier than the website said, But still let me in the park and on Nitro as well as letting me get in the test seat after the park closed. Cedar Fair PRO- Lower pricing than some Six Flags Parks PRO- Fixing rides much faster than Six Flags (Vortex at Carowind's for example) CON- Can't maintain a wooden coaster to save their lives (I'm talking about wooden track/supports missing chunks of wood) CON- Horrible Cedar Point video (Makes some people want to kill themselves) PRO- Really Good Park Souvenirs CON- Non Electric Fast Lane or whatever their term is But I think we can agree they are having a better year than SeaWorld/Busch Parks are. And everyone, both companies have mediocre parks: Six Flags has Great America, Over Texas, and Magic Mountain but they also have Six Flags America and Great Escape. Cedar Fair has Kings Island, Canada's Wonderland, and Cedar Point but also has Michigan's Adventure and to a degree Worlds Of Fun.
  11. Considering what's been going on with Busch Parks (Owned by the same company that owns Merlin), I don't know if Merlin should open a park and instead improve what they have already.
  12. Ummm..... Stealth at California's Great America was advertised as the Worlds First Flying Coaster
  13. I wish Cedar Fair would at least expand the waterpark. If nothing else, Some mat slides or something.
  14. I highly doubt that. Most likely is a Funtime Star Flyer like was shown in the PDF thing.
  15. In No Order: 1- New Texas Giant 2- Full Throttle 3- Behemoth 4- Nitro 5- Big Dipper @ Geauga Lake 6- Boulder Dash 7- Dare Devil Dive 8- Cheetah Hunt 9- Whizzer 10- Phantom's Revenge
  16. Hope all 6 cars are ready. That video only shows like 3 cars ready.
  17. Except the parking lot is a distance from the park.
  18. Wow is this the first SF park to use a live web cam or a web in in general to cover a construction project??? I know it's the first one I can recall, I know CF usually has webcams for their projects I hope more SF parks start using webcam coverage. SFGAm used a webcam for X-Flight's construction as well as Riptide Bay the year before that. And Hurricane Harbor during the winter of 04-05
  19. I wonder where they're going to find room for any of the things they suggested. Without spoiling, They are big attractions
  20. Canada Dry Ginger Ale
  21. Hopefully this will be the kick-in-the-pants the park needs. Disneyland Paris could also probably use some Marvel attractions from what I've heard.
  22. It's odd cause I listed Six Flags Great America and they asked me rides blatantly for your park. Very unique additions.
