A website has cancelled one of my favorite podcasts without much warning by the end of the year. If I could ever throw rocks at a building, It would be the website for ending the podcast.

Being like Disney? You mean having stuff closed and not repaired for years on end, focusing on non-theme-park properties, and not adding rides? I'd stick with Universal method of adding rides and attractions and non-theme-park properties.

I honestly think that Universal doesn't mind all that much. There isn't much to be hidden anyways. Disney is always the one with that everyone is on stage feel. If Universal had issues with it they wouldn't have Doctor Doom that gives backstage views, as well as Dragons, Rockit, Mardi Gras float riders, Macys balloon handlers and also HHN . I doubt Citywalk though. There is no land available there. I feel like a few of the universal parks have their backstage area exposed or something nearby where you can see the unthemed sides of the bulidings from somewhere. Japan has a huge ferris wheel across the water where you can see most of universal, and singapore has both the cable car and a observation car where you can see some of the backstage areas. Doesn't Everest have the ride building visible when driving to the park at Animal Kingdom?

It's cheaper and easier to simply add trims to lessen the damage the ride does to itself. You're still paying for parts to fix the ride. I would guess they'd cost about the same.

How about taking a hard look at literally ANYTHING. I mean, I rode Iron Shark this year. A compact, tiny little Gerstlauer that packed WAAAAAAY more forces, fun and excitement than just about anything B&M has done in the last 10 years. I *get* B&M Fanboys for what they did from 1992 - 2000. They had almost a perfect track record of hits during those years. Made some of (still) the best coasters out there. Then from 2001 - 2006, it was hit and miss, with nothing in that time frame being anywhere as good as the earlier years, and then 2007 onwards, c'mon... they are just phoning it in. The last six years have been a snoozefest of "trying to like" a bunch of forceless coasters because they *used* to make the most badass OMFG BLOW YOUR MIND AWAY coasters 20 years ago. I just simply cannot get excited about a new B&M anymore because they don't make exciting rides anymore. --Robb "There. I said it." I'd say it is doubtful. The Lake George area is unique in that many families go there on local vacations and not just for The Great Escape. I don't think any other SF parks in are "destination" areas like Lake George. Six Flags Great Adventure? Families do not vacaton in Jackson, New Jersey! Exactly. It's freakin' Jackson, NJ. Regardless, There's a good 2-3 Million people that Six Flags is letting sleep elsewhere and spend money elsewhere. Keep people on your property.

It was SDC after Dark. The park opened from 3pm-11pm while as SDC was 9am to like 5pm or so. I would guess that it wasn't making the money Herschend wanted. Pete said that rebuilding the park costed almost 50 million dollars.

Ride Underground at Adventureland in Iowa. Overall very mediocre but Flight of Fear in comparison to the Dark Knight Mice Coasters.
