  1. On the Apocalypse (Six Flags America) POV by TPR:
  2. It is supposedly Thanos, this is what Wikipedia saids:
  3. I use a word document, Coaster Fanatics, Coaster-Count, & Coaster Counter. Coaster Counter is my preferred method of keeping my coaster count.
  4. Predator. So he went to Darien Lake... (I hope you got the Predator joke)
  5. This is a really nice trip report. I usually don't see this much detail going into the overall park and I like how you covered the older, less popular rides that usually people don't even mention on their SFOT trip reports.
  6. Stampede is OK, but I just don't want another jungle-themed ride in CGA that seems a bit misplaced. Something like White Lightning or Wildcat would be a better name in my opinion and fit in Celebration Plaza better.
  7. Well, SFDK needed a new major coaster as V2 & Medusa are over 10 years old and Pandemonium was a very good location. Of course, Six Flags likes to take out family rides, but Superman will draw a much larger crowd than Pandemonium. It seems Pandemonium was more built to fill Zonga's space for a few years. The back & forth at the beginning is because there isn't enough space for a longer launch without going back and forth. V2 & Superman are very different coasters. It's funny how last night I had a dream that when Superman opened, everyone on TPR complained about how forceless it was. Anyways, I think Superman will be a very intense coaster as those "spirals" probably has very high G-forces at the bottom and non-inverting loops are known to be intense, like on HRRR.
  8. Oh man, I forgot about him. Mr. Bean was amazingly funny, too bad not many people my age know about him.
  9. Arnold Schwarzenegger. Then, Arnold killed the donkey with...
  10. On the SFDK facebook: 1998 is really old... I love comparing coasters with coasters u/c!
  11. I believe Dive Machines have a stronger track since the trains are very wide which means it is heavier per row than a B&M Hyper.
  12. Mean Streak is now classified as a classic! It's only 21 years old, so I guess Ironpocalypse is also a classic. Really, I would support you if you were making an argument for Blue Streak being a classic, but not Mean Streak.
  13. I used to go to Pandemonium first, but now that it's no longer there, I go to Medusa first. Though, Roar & Kong have pretty much a very long line throughout the whole day. Since, the coaster collection isn't massive in SFDK, I always have to wait in the line. Also, if you're thinking of going on White Water Safari, it's good to go there a bit early since the line gets long in the summer. Usually, Sky Screamer has a shorter line than Medusa & Kong, and now that it isn't the new ride anymore, the lines aren't that long. V2 is literally a walk on most of the time.
  14. Tell that to Silver Dollar City. Really, I think that it is best for amusement parks to wait until August/September to announce because what would happen is people would not go to the park knowing there is a new attraction for next year. Since this will be a large attraction (speculated), this will probably be on the LA news right after the announcement thus announcing to many people.
  15. I asked a question on the WOF blog if a Windseeker could be built in WOF and this is the response I got: So, it seems like there isn't any apparent roadblocks for Windseeker in the future, so there's a good chance WOF will get a Windseeker.
  16. CGA used to be one of my favorite parks because of the short lines, it's sad to see the lines so long. But, it's good that the park is actually making some good money, I'd rather see more profit than short lines.
  17. Wow! This impacted the skyline by a lot. That skyline image makes Superman look rather similar to Zonga as it's non-inverting loop looks like Zonga's "double loop" and the barrel roll portion will be like the top of Zonga's lift. Of course, Superman is much taller but I was surprised by how similar it looks like Zonga from far away.
  18. Great trip report. I really enjoyed how a mid-sized trip report was all on one carousel. I'm a bit confused, the sign saids that it will close for restoration, so will it ever re-open?
  19. I'm thinking of getting a SWSD Fun Card in a few weeks, do you think it's worth it? I'm not going just for Manta, but Manta is what triggered me to think about getting a Fun Card. I'm moving to North County in mid June and I would frequently go to San Diego, so I just want to visit SWSD for a few hours each time I go to SD. Thanks for any replies.
  20. Top Gun's barrel roll "over" Showtime theater is pretty amazing: Volcano looks just epic, you don't see a coaster themed around a volcano everyday: Speaking of Volcanoes... Who cares if Journey isn't a coaster, it looks spectacular. Also, the enterance to SWSD's Manta looks amazing, even if the coaster is only 30'. I couldn't find any good photos of it on the internet unless you like a construction photo of it. Photo Credits: Top Gun & Volcano: RCDB; Mount Prometheus: Trip Advisor
  21. It's probably going to be August or Early September like most announcements.
  22. Hurricane (SCBB)
  23. SFDK: Medusa of course is the best coaster.
