  1. When you talking about the 'front seat' I'm guessing you're probably talking about Flight Deck? At some points yesterday, we had lines ranging from the start of the ramps to starting at the shaded area, then at one point the line 'magically disappeared' allowing us to walk right back on for another ride. However, there were still people in line for the front and 2nd rows. Sorry, it was a typo, I already fixed it.
  2. It also gave Cedar Fair the opportunity to not continously build expensive rides in Cedar Point since it now has no competition. (Shoot the Rapids & WindSeeker aren't expensive, I'm thinking more of $10 million+)
  3. For 2013, I think that KD should take out Shockwave and put a good Euro Fighter on that spot, I think it would be perfect for the park to take out a horrible, unpopular coaster with a fun, and more popular coaster, plus KD can handle the lower capacity unlike the larger Cedar Fair parks such as CP and KI. EDIT: A perfect coaster would be like Takabisha @ Fuji-Q Highland rcdb.com/9795.htm?p=35140
  4. I went today to CGA, and it was more packed as usual. I skipped many low-capacity rides such as Delirium and Flying Eagles. After looking at the Invertigo site, it seems really good for a WindSeeker. Lately, EDIT: On Flight Deck I have seen lines just for front seat extending outside of the designated front seat queue and I have to wait in it because in my opinion the front is the best, but the 2nd to 6th rows have less than 4 people standing in line while the front has around 30 people. Plus, today I took some photos to photoshop with WindSeeker which I will post when I have the time to do it.
  5. They should keep some old Skull Mountain parts to rot on site, that would be some good theming for a disaster theming.
  6. I go to that permit site everyday (sometimes multiple times a day, yes I'm desperate). If history is any indication, I'm beginning to think that we won't get anything for 2012, as the planning permit for the last new addition (Firefall, obviously) was applied for on August 16th. Unless Cedar Fair plans on announcing something before they apply for a permit, but that's unlikely. Anyways, from the permits, it's interesting to see how large each Haunt maze is in terms of square feet. Werewolf Canyon is the largest (no surprise there) at 9,700 sq ft. Though, Delirium's permit was submitted on 8/31/01 smartpermit.santaclaraca.gov/tm_bin/tmw_cmd.pl?tmw_cmd=StatusViewCase&shl_caseno=BLD2001-13153 And Psycho Mouse's permit was subitted on 9/12/00 smartpermit.santaclaraca.gov/tm_bin/tmw_cmd.pl?tmw_cmd=StatusViewCase&shl_caseno=BLD2000-13581 Which means from now to Sept. 15 is when the permit will be sent in, if there is one.
  7. Calm down. WindSeeker would be a great addition to CGA. Plus SFDK has Sky Screamer not WindSeeker, plus that's a star flyer and this one would be taller than Sky Screamer. Plus, the wooden coaster is not confirmed in 2013, who told you that? Sure, on this thread there is a lot of speculation that the wooden coaster would be built in 2013, but until the park announces the coaster, it will remain a rumor.
  8. Still unknown. Another photoshopped picture:
  9. 9/4/11 - Big Announcement Day Dollywood is going to announce their new coaster, why not introduce WindSeeker @ CGA? I'm going to check thoroughly for WindSeeker because I now got all excited over this.
  10. I know this very far fetched, but imagine if CGA was allowed to build a 301' WindSeeker, that would just dominate the skyline even though that Great America probably has more of a chance of getting 2 coasters in 2013 than getting a full-scale WindSeeker.
  11. Star Flyer in Orlando will give you a very un easy yet thrilling ride. I love taking people down there for a spin, it aint for everyone, especially at 240 feet. I am hoping for a massive 400 foot Star Flyer in a U.S. park someday. Our ride has the chest strap now as well, for me it doesn't make a difference...still scary as hell. Too lame, how about a 500' WindSeeker!
  12. True. Also, about the price of the WindSeeker, it would be less than 6 1/2 million because it's not 301', so I would estimate somewhere between 4 and 5 million.
  13. You should totally post this on CGA's Facebook page - "2012 park map leaked!" I was looking around on Westcoaster.net's forums, and came across this...someone estimating Cedar Fair's 2012 spending so far: http://www.westcoaster.net/community/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=4330 So if Cedar Fair plans to spend approximately $10-$30 million more, and with six parks still without a new addition...looks like a few parks are going to be left out. At this point, if CGA were to get anything, a Windseeker would be the most likely, due to it being relatively inexpensive. Someone did mention on the same thread that they heard that CGA would be getting "something." Go ahead post it on Facebook, I don't have an account, so go do it. EDIT: Tell me that you're doing it, I want to see GP action!
  14. Red, White, & Blue
  15. No. It's soft Is there going to be a WindSeeker in CGA next year?
  16. Mediocre ride with amazing theming Hawaii or Caribbean?
  17. I live in the West Coast, and there was a 4.3 earthquake? I never even knew that even happened in all seriousness.
  18. All the pieces seem to be coming together like in the Scooby Doo cartoons. Invertigo was probably taken out for Cedar Fair to both see if Great America can survive the 2011 season and to put WindSeeker there. The LA Times were stating that the 2012 ride isn't going to be the GCI coaster, but there will be a 2012 ride on the Invertigo site. The location seems perfect where it's wide open and easy to spot from faraway. Many thing it's a small possiblilty, but we thought that the WindSeeker going to Carowinds was a small chance and Leviathan was thought to not be a giga coaster, and it is. Maybe this is Cedar Fair's "plot" of making CGA better. We will see if this all comes true in a few days.
  19. I think the go-karts would've been a better location for Superman instead of taking out Pandemonium. Page 100!
  20. 1: Hyper close 2nd: Inverted
  21. Giga Coaster. No brainer.
  22. That doesn't mean they won't ever build one. If what they have was working for them, thats great, but eventually they're going to decide to bring in a new coaster. Besides, other parks have gone longer, there were 23 years between Hersheys first and second coaster! I justed posted it because the probability is low for a park to get a coaster that didn't recieve a coaster in a long period of time.
  23. I totally agree. That's why I go on this website because everyone seems well-informed.
