Walt Disney World Epcot Discussion Thread
mcjaco replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
More like the original Theme Park game, that only gave you prebuilt coasters to build, with a POV video when you wanted to "ride" it. ^ Bob, it's more like the Legoland Robocoaster, except you get to design the program. -

^ Dan, the old program was very limited. I believe there might have only been two different tracks that program allowed you to build, all along the way that little beaver lisped his way through the process, telling you, "Hey! That's sssshweell!" Once you completed it, the program let you watch a first person view of the ride, complete with people screaming. It was very basic, but addicting. -
So it's the American way!

Rmeinds me of this EPCOT classic: They are going retro on us, with a new millenium twist! -

CoasterDynamix on the show HOUSE
mcjaco replied to DLDude's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
For one, Jack has to constantly defend the "speed" of his models here, and I'm sure elsewhere he posts. It gets old. Real old. He's explained gravity and his models umpteen thousand times, and yet it's the first thing that some makes a remark about anyway. I'd get a little frosted too if my main source of income was constantly being bashed by people that don't understand fundamental physics. As for my comment, my half cent wasn't directed at anyone in particular, and it was letting Jack know that there are people here that understand the limitations of the models, and that we understand the "speed" issue. Again, when all you here is the speed complaint, it gets old. Even for those of us that don't produce these models. Finally, as we constantly say, until you know the history behind a poster you think a remark is aimed at, it's best to keep your "half cents" to yourself. You don't always know the whole story, the PM's, the emails, the warnings, the posting history, etc. Our "half cents" are usually aimed at posters who havea history of not following rules here. -

There are some that post here, that just don't get it, Jack. That's all I'll say about that. Oooh, that ryhmed! -
^ No.

^ This is why we don't like "versus" threads. They just fall into iditiotic ramblings and flame wars. Let's keep this competition to the SFGADv website.

Very nice Shane. I have a WDW book from around 1977 or 78 I've been meaning to scan and post. As well as a Disneyland one from a bit earlier too. -

Like Guy, I'm terribly saddened that I'm missing this trip this year. I'll miss sharing a bed with Guy, and Pier's "Illuminations," drinking much beer around EPCOT, watching Dave fall over multiple times, and holy crap does Emily look good! Have fun, I miss you all! Have a beer for me! -

^ You should all keep this in mind next time someone complains how mean we are. -
Yeah, we're going to lock this. For one, I believe there's another one on here already (which has also most likely been locked), so please search. Second, we really do not like the "versus" threads, as they tend to spiral into flame wars.

I listened to Boston sports radio on business once. It made me want to rip my ears off with my bare hands. They're worse than Chicago fans, and their constant whining.

I hope he did. That guy's an idiot.

Unfortunately, when there's nothing but Patriots bashing coming from someone, your comment is not going to carry a lot of weight, like in the case. I get your position, but we've been hearing you gripe about the Pats for years now. First, its Suggs. And yes, he was already falling. My only defense for Brady is, that he's already lost one season do to a knee injury, I'd be a little skittish too. Rodney might be joking, but Dungy told it how it was, it was a bad call. Again, major knee injury, I'd be skittish. Rodaney Harrison is a dolt anyway, as is most of the NBC crew. Hi we're SportsCenter circa 1994!

^ As I wrote that I thought the same thing. Is it worse than last years? Is there a way to compile data over which year has crappier officiating? Perhaps, but I'm not going take up that mantle.

Hey, Thank you for your enthusiasm and posting your thoughts to Theme Park Review. Please do us all a favor and read the following thread before you post again. This information could greatly improve your posting quality: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=21962 This is rather pointless, and lacking good content. So I'm going to politely lock it.

Except roughing the passer is being called horrnedously for everyone this year. So it's not Tom Brady thing. Officiating has been atrocious this year.

Yeah, don't let your Colts fanboyism skew your perceptions.
