  1. Hello B&M Goodness!! ^^I too am a little confused on the exact same color for both supports and track but at least it'll be unique .
  2. Great pics!! Every time I see a TR from this place it makes me want to go even more. I'm thinking of eventually doing a trip to SFGAm, the Dells then ferry to Michigan's Adventure and back to Detroit to visit the family and friends. It's a shame that Hades won't be like it was in its prime whenever I get a chance to visit but I'm one who strangely enjoys a good rough woodie.
  3. I didn't have an issue with the audio at all, I actually enjoyed it a lot. I don't really understand peoples problem with it but everyone has a preference.
  4. I've met a few: Chris Osgood - Goalie for the Detroit Red Wings Chris Chelios - Defensemen for Chicago Blackhawks and Detroit Red Wings Darren McCarty - Enforcer for Detroit Red Wings Phil Labonte - Singer for metal band All That Remains, small club and had a few beers with him. good times. Met and got Autographs from the metal band Trivium As well as seeing many many many many bands in concert. Those are just off the top of my head
  5. I like the colors, they're unique. Personally I can see this as some sort of vintage 50's roadster type theme like Xcelerator.
  6. That raft is under water!!!! I truly wish I had the time and patience to really pursue making a park with some good detail. Great job!
  7. ^That's crazy good drawing dude!!! I wish I could draw like that
  8. ^Why Blue Streak?! I've always had great rides on that thing, good quick old fasioned out and back with some good airtime. ^^And Mean Streak is an iconic image at CP why would they tear it down? People know it as the massive wooden thing in the back
  9. Disaster Transport for sure. I enjoy it simply because it's at my favorite park and the lift always screws with my head but it either needs a whole lotta lovin' or tear it down and start fresh. I'm with just about everybody on the GCI woodie to replace it .
  10. Yes, its colored similar to montu. How many similar color schemes are out there? Many. I'll stay focused on the good ol construction porn going on.
  11. If in fact they keep it as a gate per row of four then I see no issue. An issue will occur if they use the GIB style loading where there's a gate for each row of two. Either way I will be planning a trip there next fall to get this credit as well as my stormrunner and farenheit credits
  12. 1: Cedar Point - My home park for 20 years before moving out west. Spent almost every weekend at the park throughout high school. 2: SF Magic Mountain - What I'm considering my new home park. 3: Kings Island - Second most frequented park in my history 4: Busch Gardens Williamsburg - The first park my family took me to so i would "shut up" about wanting to ride the coasters 5: Busch Gardens Tampa - Always try to make it here when in Florida 6: Islands of Adventure - Try to make it here too. 7: Michigan's Adventure - First trip with just my mom and I, good fun mommy and me time and home to one of my favorite woodies 8: Hershey Park - Included on a trip to VA with my mom and little brother, little bro's first real coaster was SDL and now he's hooked too. 9: Kings Dominion - Reason for trip to VA, got to ride Hypersonic and loved Volcano 10: Six Flags Great America - Big group of family and friends, maybe 30 of us, made the trip from Detroit. Waited 3 hours for Raging Bull as it had just opened a few months earlier. Not too shabby for only having been to 14 parks, technically 13 because of a mall kiddie coaster
  13. I had quite the Goliath experience back in '02 when I first visited the park. We rode and got stopped on the MCBR for a decent amount of time. When we got back to the station they let us ride again and this time we might have gotten a slight braking but flew through the rest of the course at top speeds. Good times.
  14. I'm ok with how the couple handled the situation except for one thing, "Infliction of Emotion Distress". I get it, it's very upsetting to see something like this, but is it worthy of adding to a lawsuit? Sure the other counts work but our sue happy American citizens will find literally anything to slap onto their arguement for more money/a win. Side Note: 100th Post
  15. ^those are my thoughts, I would absolutely love the thing if it didn't beat me so bad.
  16. Would if I could with that Nikon, it's my uncles and he loves that thing more than some people
  17. ^That's the term I couldn't remember! "SLR"...Thanks for the reply. Yes the SLR style is what I'm looking for. After a quick google search on the Canon 20D, you really snagged a $1500 camera for $300? Great steal on that one . I'll definitely check out ebay and craigslist now.
  18. ^did it hurt you at all? I'm curious because the one time I rode it I was hurting big time afterwards, both my shoulders and "no-no" zone. I seemed to have quite a bit of room in the restraints and got tossed around a lot. I'll give it another chance when I can but it does not have a good rap with me currently.
  19. Looking for some info here and hoping somebody can help me. I have no clue what I'm talking about when it comes to cameras but I know a good picture when I see one. I've been debating on saving up some money for a good camera but have no clue where to start looking. I know I want something better than the cheap "Pocket" cameras that keep getting smaller and smaller, but I also don't want to throw a couple thousand dollars towards a ridiculously good camera because I won't be using it that much. My uncle has an old 1970's Nikon 35mm he's had since high school that I've used to snap pictures of the grand canyon, Bryce Canyon and Zion Canyon and I'm told they can be sold for some money they're so good. I enjoy that camera because I was able to play with the lenses and settings to get a unique picture but why would I spend money on an outdated technology? Can anybody point me in a good direction for a new digital camera? I'd mainly be taking pictures of coaster, nature and architecture if there's a certain model that seems to be better for those... Any tips are much appreciated.
  20. They are flying on this construction!!! If only it were closer to home
  21. SFMM needs a drop tower and if they go this route I hope it's not S&S. CP's power tower is pointless to me every time I visit now, I don't even have it in my mind. The only intamin I've been on, I believe, is Drop Zone at KI and it remains the best drop tower I've been on.
  22. Strongest LIM/LSM launch is Volcano with Wicked Twister and Maverick behind it. My favorite launch hands down is TTD, I just love knowing the ins and outs vs everybody else on the train and knowing that when the train rolls back into the catch dog that there's no turning back. Then the Christmas tree counts down to greatness.
  23. Would you suggest BigSurf or Golfland in Mesa as a better option? I picked wet n wild just because of the slide selection.
  24. I apologize if this has been brought up but my 1/2 hour search came up with nothing of the sort. I'm thinking about making a wet n wild Phoenix day this weekend with a group of friends. I've stayed away from this place because of crowds and the fact that I'm not too big on waterparks, but Ive been itching for a slide for some reason. For those of you here in the valley or are in the know on this park what can I expect crowds to be this saturday 8/12? I know it's safe to assume it'll be crowded as it's the desert on a hot summer day but I remember hearing when the park opened the crowds were insane, as in up to more than an hour for slides. Also any tips for a newbie to waterparks like me?
