  1. Then again, this could turn out like Cartman-Land... Now that people can't go, everyone will be dying to get in! lol
  2. Dealbreaker: No AdBlock Pro If any of you have not tried firefox with the adblock add-on, you are missing out. It is the best out there by far. I gave Chrome a test drive today, and as soon as I saw that "smiley face" banner at the top of a page, it was a no brainer.
  3. Agreed. That elevator style lift looks terrifying. Personally, i'll be relieved once the boat moves forward on to the drop and starts descending
  4. Atticus, My dawg. He's a mix between Cairn Terrier and Poodle. 1 Year old and LOTS of energy.
  5. Awesome, they turned off the trims for the pov animation!!!??!>! I'm going to watch it again.
  6. I wish I was still scared of roller coasters. At that point in my life, the adrenaline rush was better than ever. Let them decide what they want to ride, and don't pressure them. They will gain the courage, and when they do, it'll be the best ride of their life.
  7. There is most likely a learning curve involved here for the new owners. So far, they have done nothing but improve the experience. I'm sure they will work out the kinks.
  8. Google Picassa 2 is an easy and free program to resize pictures and do various other image related tasks. Quick FYI for anyone with this issue.
  9. ^Exactly. The structure in monstrous. It's not as if we will have little tiny people getting off the ride, and asking if Vekoma designed it
  10. In an effort to get this thread back on track: Any estimate on number of pieces used? ADMIN EDIT: Edited out unnecessary comment. The flaming stops here.
  11. ^ Quit crying dude. In my opinion, the tallest one should have to be freestanding, otherwise, any jag could drop some track from the 4th story of a building, and claim top prize.
  12. I'm guessing because assets < hard cash
  13. Geauga Lake ride. Done deal taer it down!
  14. ^^ I have to agree with this. At your age, I don't think you realize how dangerous driving can be while you are following the rules. Blatant disregard, now that's another thing. Be careful while you are driving dude, there are no second chances.
  15. I read that Inbev would scale back on advertising dollars, and lower prices on beer if they buy AB. It would put Miller in a pretty sticky situation.
  16. ^^ Agreed. My favorite beer right now is Beamish Irish stout. I took a liking to Guiness and found this much tastier. I drink it every once in a while, however a four pack is 8 bucks plus tax (ouch). On top of that, every once in a while, I'm down for a plain ol domestic, such as MGD. Only thing worse than crappy beer, is beer snobs who snub their nose at it.
  17. I know what I am going to do...... Ride it, then decide.
  18. Funny thing about this statement is how many parks seriously discourage the employee's to ever hit e-stop. As a former ride-op, I remember hearing that if you hit e-stop when it is not necessary, you can be moved to another ride, written up, fired, ect. One moment of second guessing can make all the difference. I am not surprised that her first instinct was to NOT hit e-stop.
  19. The cable snaps on these rides are due to lack of maintainence. Plain and simple. If that were not the case, no one in their right mind would ever get on a sky ride..... notice the lack of anti-FallDowns
  20. I am surprised that Arrow even considered a corkscrew on the suspended coaster design. The first thing I think of is what would happen in a stall scenario. Doesn't seem plausible from the get-go.
