  1. Jew might take it simply because it is so bizzare!
  2. It's a method that requires interpritation. If your subject says "THATS COOL" or "HOW DID YOU DO THAT?" then of course you are okay. I have noticed sometimes there will be a couple people in the room, and they will talk to each other. Somthing will trigger a conversation and while they are still watching your video, they bring up something completlety unrelated. Keeping a persons attention for 3 minutes is actually quite a difficult task.
  3. ^ The way I test a video before publishing is show it to somone and stay completly silent. If they start talking anytime before the video is over, you need to go back and work something out (and start at the point at which your viewer started talking) This is especially hard with the GP and coaster video's. Most of them do not grab their attention enough (unlike us who are like "whoa, that looked like good air time!") Patrick
  4. [Group Chant] POST THE ENTRIES, POST THE ENTRIES, POST.... Well you get the idea The crowd is getting restless Robb Patrick
  5. Hey, Glad I made the cut. I had a ton of fun making it and I'm looking forward to seeing the other entries. Good luck to all! Patrick
  6. I'm excited too. Hey Robb, did you get the email I sent you regarding my video? If not let me know, just a little question.....
  7. Robb, I am compressing my video out at about 70 megs. Are you going to recompress or should I try to get the size down.
  8. Regardless, thats a nice historic video. The first arrow suspended is a very cool thing. Now lets find one for Batman at SFGAM .
  9. Force wise, its a tame ride (of course). If you are a little bit afraid of heights however, it is a HUGE rush. I recomend it highly. Also, do your best to get in the front row. The front of the car actually goes past the end of the track giving you that "when are we going to stop" panic  . This is me and my boss terrified "Hey look, I can see our hotel from up here!"
  10. I'm sure they could. The question is if it would be cost effective to incorporate that into the ride. They figured a back up generator would simply be a cheaper soloution. I'm willing to bet Stratosphere will look into avoiding this in the future.
  11. Wow, glad to see a little DT love. All I hear is bad things about DT, but i'm with you guys. Not that the ride ROCKS my socks off, but its a nice addition and somthing exciting you can take the kids on.
  12. Oh man, I was terrified of that ride. I cannot imagine hanging there for any amount of time. Still better than the demon upsidedown in the loop though I guess
  13. ^ I'm really starting to wonder. CP Blog: Question: Are you guys building something for 2006 besides Skyhawk? Answer: Good question. I'm sure i'll eat my words on this one, but I have a feeling CP is going to give us the one two punch -Patrick
  14. Cedar Point 2003 Magnum XL-200 Nothing like waking up and riding a roller coaster before work every day
  15. Also, remember that most visitors to theme parks are not crazy like us. They visit their home park once or twice a year and thats it. The park is not looking to cater to the small minority who have been on the ride before. They are going to market Skyhawk to everyone who doesnt know who S&S are and will not argue as to weather or not a racing coaster counts as one or two credits.
  16. FROM THE CP BLOG: When we returned to the station, all of the other riders had waited by the exit to cheer for us. That was really great. After getting out of the canoe, Tony and Tyler presented my father and I with certificates for being the very last riders on the ride. Meanwhile, the rest of the Cedar Point staff was hard at work tearing down White Water Landing. They certainly weren't wasting any time! There is something going on here. Skyhawk is not being built there. My spidey sense is tingling. I think CP might hit us with another.
  17. That thing looks awesome. I love drop rides. For those of you who have not seen it, check out the video here: http://www.dreamworld.com.au/content/standard3.asp?name=Big5GiantDrop
  18. I think if the admission price is reflected in the hotel packages, then definitely. That’s what brings the out of Towner’s in (like me). For fright fest this year, I got two nights in breakers, two Friday evening tickets, and two Saturday passes plus free parking for $210.00. That kind of price, I have no choice but to visit (and drop some money on extra's at the park).
  19. Hmmm, interesting thought Phishy. Well lets take into account the pnumatic system involved in the swing, on top of that, maybe we can add all of the landscaping and cue. It adds up pretty fast. It kind of reminds me of my bar tab last friday. :?
