  1. My first ride on Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts...wow I didn't know what to expect. I didn't watch or read anything about it beforehand and it was one of the greatest experiences ever! Everything took me by surprise especially the first tilt drop thing!
  2. WOW! This ride looks awesome! I might be making a trip to Utah next year and I'll definitely make sure to stop by if I do! It looks amazing! Very unique looking ride!
  3. I stopped by the park the other day at Islands of Adventure, there are a lot of Jurassic World posters in the Thunder Terrace restaurant area. Also, the Raptor Encounters were pretty long but wow is that neat to see in person! Also, after the installment of the metal detectors, it seems that they got the hang of operating everything with them and things have been running pretty smoothly. It is very easy to get a locker and just go through the metal detectors. At first I thought it was going to be a pain but it really isn't now they've been doing it for some time now.
  4. ^Thank you so much! Hopefully my trip tomorrow goes well! Lightning Run is something I definitely want to do as well as some water park slides.
  5. I'm not saying that I won't welcome a smoother ride for the Hulk...I just don't see the need for all new trains and restraints. What ain't broke...don't fix it!
  6. Those restraints are wider though...therefore making the trains wider than the ones they have now. I don't see how that would work. Personally, I hope the Hulk doesn't get the vest restraints. I like it how it is now. I actually like these B&M restraints better than the vest ones. These don't press down on you the whole ride. And they don't get tighter and tighter as the ride goes on. While the vest restraints don't have headbanging...I actually like how the Hulk is a little bit rough in places. To me it adds to the ride.
  7. Ok so I have planned July 2nd (tomorrow) to go to Kentucky Kingdom for a while now. When I checked the forecast, well...it doesn't look good at all. What is the rain policy at Kentucky Kingdom? Also, how cold is the water at the water park?
  8. I know that they are replacing the launch motors, however this is rumored to be after peak season, but no one really knows when exactly. I'd assume you would be fine those days. Also, has anyone hear the rumors of replacing the launch system and trains to LIM with new trains with different restraints? ^I only heard that the launch motors were being replaced. I don't know why they would change the the trains and have new restraints. What new trains and what new restraints? Where did you hear this?
  9. Sorry if I'm just noticing things now...but on the website for Kings Dominion...the little slideshow they have on the Home Page...the backdrop looks nothing like Kings Dominion. It actually looks like Dorney Park to me.
  10. Does anyone know when the next Halloween Horror Nights house will be announced? I know it is still far, far, away from the event...but I am definitely excited for the 25th year!
  11. It's probably cuz it's opening in a park that has only 2 other big coasters, neither of which invert. That still doesn't explain why an enthusiast would care. The general public might care about an inverting coaster, but enthusiasts should not be enthused by an SLC to be point of clamoring about an opening date. Personally, I'm curious to see how it rides with the new trains and new restraints. While I'm not completely interested in this ride, I am curious to see how well it does with the new trains and the public at Kentucky Kingdom. Also, some enthusiasts might want the coaster to open so they can get the credit if they already didn't ride T2
  12. So for my upcoming trip, I should hit Lightning Run right at park opening and then head to the waterpark?
  13. ^ OMG what if Universal made a ride like Radiator Springs Racers but instead Mario Kart themed?
  14. How is Airtime with OTSR a bad thing? There are many roller coasters with some airtime hills that have OTSR. Also, I personally like the wide trains of the dive coaster. I wouldn't want to see them go with a longer train. Also, it would be really hard to incorporate the "hang" over the drop.
  15. Ok I'm just going to throw this out there and I highly don't think it would be done...but what if a ride like Toy Story Mania is built and each different screen would be a different Nintendo game theme. I mean it would have to be different for the games because you would "shoot" at the screen but it is just an idea.
  16. I could see a series of ProSlide Drop Capsule slides added to the area by Hyena Falls. Something like Ihu's Breakaway Falls at Aquatica would sure be a real hit for the park!
  17. I can see E.T. going away in the future, but I see that there are a lot of people who want it to stay as it is one of the only original rides left at Universal.
  18. I'd rather not see Nintendo take over Marvel Superhero Island. I just don't see that happening. If they do re-theme the area, I'd prefer if it wouldn't be Nintendo-themed. I'd prefer the Kids Area at Universal to be redone with Nintendo.
  19. Thank you all for your information regarding my future trip to Kentucky Kingdom! I'm actually going on a Thursday now. So the first ride I want to do is Lightning Run. Will I have time to ride it once in the front and once in the back before going to the waterpark? Should I ride Deluge first for the water park? I also plan on riding Thunder Run and T3 (if it is opened by then). Any other tips?
  20. Hello all! I'm planning a DAY trip to Kentucky Kingdom. I plan on spending time riding most of the rides both in the theme park and water park. Any suggestions so I can try and ride everything in a day? I'll be going to the park on a Friday.
  21. I'm so jealous. I mean I'm sure King Kong will be great but for the longest time I was hoping everyone was wrong that it would be a Kong ride and be a Jurassic Park attraction. UGH. Good for Universal Japan though! It sure definitely has everything in one park! Really jealous though...
  22. Umm...what about Medusa Steel Coaster at Six Flags Mexico? I heard that is one of the best RMC creations and the height is only 98 feet. I wouldn't judge a ride already when it hasn't even been announced yet. Judge the ride after you actually ride it!
  23. LOL whoever wrote that probably rode I305 like 30 times in a row before typing that... Their excuse... "stupid AUTO CORRECT"
  24. Wasn't "Unearthed" a scare zone a few years ago? Howl-O-Scream looks to deliver yet again another awesome year!
  25. I won't miss Wet N Wild at all! Bring on Volcano Bay! Wet N Wild was good and all but it just didn't match up to Disney's waterparks or Aquatica. Some of their slides are really good though. I hope to see some of them transfer to Volcano Bay! I'm sure there will be hotels built to replace Wet N Wild. Oh well I guess... CAN'T WAIT UNTIL 2017!
