SFMW is busy one time a year. Cheerleader Days during Fright Fest. The worst combination of events. -RD -
Actually at when a train is taken off and then put back on after a rehab, well in the state of California, they are required to do a certain number of cycles. If the park has done any modifications to the restraints or done anything to alter them, they sometimes require the water dummies to be placed on the ride. It's just more to see how the train will re-act with weight on it. -RD

How is my logic twisted? I'm simply stating the facts. Maybe their logic is twisted, but California had Six Flags modify the ride before it was installed. Zonga was placed at SFMW because there was a market for it there, and it was a quick easy fix, or so they thought, for hurting attendance. They were willing to put in the money to fix it. DO you really think Six Flags cares about it being a classic coaster. They are looking for money, and this was the best option for SFMW. As far as laws. The United States is a place where anyone can sue anyone for anything. It's called Risk Management. Its the real world. Take it for what you want. -RD

Welcome to the Bay Area. Lately the weather has sucked. Oh well. Enjoy your stay. Hope you guys have a good day at SFMW on Saturday. Shoudl be interesting. What site seeing you doing on Friday? SF? -RD -
I hate taking sides with Six Flags, but if you only knew the California State regulations. The coaster was modified for one main reason, to appease the state, not the company. I agree it sucks, but it's reality in the states. -RD

Well here are the photos from our trip on Friday. Not a ton, or nearly as many as Wally, but I thought I would post a few of the good ones. Had a really good time though with everyone, and it was good to see Rick and Gwen again today at PGA. Thanks to Wally for organizing such a good event. Aight now to the pics. -RD Well that is it for my TR. But yea. this is the infamous mall cart which Don was filming and a crazy indian dude went off on him, calling mall security, and creating havoc to no end. GOOD TIMES. Thanks for reading. So yea.. We hit up REd Robin after SFMW. This is where the near international conflict arose. Gotta love the stale chips. And now Monica tracks down another Bugs not even 500 ft away from the first one within a few minutes. She also had a good time mocking it. So here is one Bugs Bunny.... None the less, coaster time. Mike gets his first ride on Medusa. It was running pretty well. We get into the park and were greated by Angry Kevin of NorCalCoasters. Kevin is paid to act as a coaster enthusiast at the park.... No Joke. "Cause Shaipiro Said So!" Oh yea.. Back to Don jumping, he almost didn't make it.... Aww gotta love Six Flags! Rick went swimming up to the front gate. Some of us others went over the fence, while Wally and Gwen did the walk around. Now we magically appear at SFMW for some fun. Don shows his true feelings about the 45th Anniversary of SF! Don, Rick and Wally all sharing a brew for St. Patty's Day. Thanks for the first round Wally! So next up was the Blue Frog in Vacaville. Another shot. Good times. We had a chance to try the new Spikes they were pretty good suprisingly. Don and Monica reppin' the TPR at Beer School. Yea... The day started off with the Plant Tour.

I'll reply to this too. I'm in my fourth season at PGA now and although I'm not actually out in the park operating rides there are a few things that keep me going back: - As before mentioned, the friends. I have created some of my best friends at the park, and I actually spend more time with them, than I do with any friends from school, or even my roomates. They are all awesome people. - The love to interact with guests. Having a good day is important as I love guest interaction and working with guests all day long. Even pissed off guests... - As far as Ride Operation, I enjoy getting out into the park and working on rides when I get a chance. Checking restraints on Top Gun or Dropping people back at Drop Zone. It's all fun as hell. - LaStly the park has provided me with awesome experience that I wouldn't be able to gain anywhere. How many places will give you a good real world management position at age 18? I'm an Area Manager right now and looking towards even more advancement this season possibly? It's just a really good oppurtunity for some to build their resume, especially someone like me who is majoring in Commercial Recreation. Thats all. Hope that helped. -RD

No I haven't actually.. I was planning on going today, but my plans fell short as the women lost last night unexpectadly. OH well. I'm back in San Jose. Didn't get any photos today, cause I wanted to jet and beat the snow. Yea, the oppurtunity to do the tourney is awesome! They treat us so well, unf didn't get to stay as long as last year this year. Oh well. Thanks for reading everyone! -RD

Well really I did nothing yesterday. Just relaxed in the morning, then spent some time walking around Reno in the afternoon. Besides that, didn't win any more money, and went to sleep early. Last night was the 1st game of the tournament, after checking in at the Lawlor Center as Media, I went inside and relaxed. Again this year, the WAC provided with an awesome media gift, a WAC Watch. It's a decent watch for free. Last year I got a nice Heavy jacket with the WAC logo on it. Anways, the first game was fun, just relaxed and did some resarch on tonights game. Here are some pics for the first game and of Lawlor. Besides that, can't beat free food and free hotel. I'll cover what I do today. First game is at 12, second 2:30, SJSU Vs. Nev at 6, and last game at 8:30. So I have a LONG day ahead of me. Probably gonna go out and do some gambling tonight also. None the less, the pics from Day 2. My new WAC Watch and my media pass. I got some other stuff, i'll snap a photo of that tonight. It's in my car. The Idaho band into the action. Just some random. Ill shoot more today. Gametime yet? Idaho and Utah warming up. Utah State warming up on the floor. Lawlor Event Center, site of the 2006 WAC Tourney

Well for those of you who don't know, I do radio for San Jose State University, mainly the women's basketball team. I'm the play by play announcer and sometimes get the oppurtunity to travel with the team. Well this year the Western Athletic Conference Tournament in Reno, NV. I left Monday about 12 PM From San Jose, and headed up towards Sactown for the first time in a while. Stopped in at Old Crow's house to visit real quick then hit the gas up the mountain and tried to beat the snow. Luckily I made it over hte pass just in time, and into Reno. Headed to meet up with my sister who goes to UNR then had dinner. Then went and hit up some games. Won $112 on Video poker, and decided to call it a night after some studying. Anyway, took a few pictures, and I'll post more. Day is still not done tonight, probably gonna go get a few drinks and relax downstairs. We are staying at the John A's Nugget. On to the pics. I'll try to post todays pics up sometime tomorrow evening as I have a game at 5:45 tomorrow night. The way my night ended. Kohls.. Had to get some new shoes. Finally... RENO! After about 5 hours driving. Anoher shot. Just an awesome view. Gotta love the Sierra Nevada's. It's snowing like hell one minute, the next you see this. Such a good view. Snowage. I started getting worried at this point. Heading over the pass towards Reno. Snow begins to stick.
