  1. I would have to say: Wood: The Cyclone (Coney Island). I absolutely love that drop, but that may change after this summer (El Toro) . Steel: Kingda Ka. Nothing beats a spiraling vertical drop from 456 up!
  2. ^^Same here! I usually grey out/get tunnel vision in the helix...I love the feeling!
  3. Technically an Intamin mega coaster is between 150-299 feet. A giga coaster is 300-399, thats where MF falls in. Anyway I chose Nitro. It's my all time favorite coaster. I love the floater airtime and the helix and not to mention the first drop, the first time I rode it, it literally took my breath away. I dont know why, but I'm more of a floater fan than an ejector.
  4. Somethings I've heard: "Nitro is as tall as the Empire State Building" "Kingda Ka flew off the track thats why it is broken" "On Rockin' Roller Coaster the restraints came undone and we flew into another train" "On Batman my restraint came undone and then went back in the loop" "RAMT goes straight down" "Does this go upside down" - this was on Batman and Robin I really wish I could correnct them...but every time I try they either yell at me or start arguing.
  5. I remember one time at SFGadv, I was standing online for Nitro when these 2 girls infront of me were like, "WOW THIS RIDE IS AS TALL AT THE EMPIRE STATE BUILDING!" I just laughed it off. The part I thought was strange was when one person said the RAMT at SFGadv when straight down .
  6. ^^I would say that too. I swear hanging from little chains at over 150 feet kinda...well...scares me to death. I mean I'm even scared when I'm on the little ones, fearing the chain will go *SNAP*. I've always been scared of them since one toppled over at an amusement park by me, but they're still fun to ride!
  7. http://www.iaapa.org/modules/MediaNews/index.cfm?fuseaction=Details&iid=1050 ^^Try reading that. It says the human being exerts more g-forces in every day life then on a roller coaster. Even plopping into your roller coaster seat results in a high number of g-forces (10.1).
  8. I have this strange feeling this is going to be another X. Anyway it's looking good, even though I probably won't ever get to go ride it.
  9. 10g's cannot kill you. They've done test before. In fact I remember in this one Roller Coaster book my mom got me there was a guy testing out different g-forces. They had 1g, 2gs, 5gs, and 10gs. You think they would do that test if it wasn't safe? Plus, what do astronauts have to go through, g-forces to prepare them for launch. Therefore it cannot kill you.
  10. East definetly. You have awesome parks like CP, SFGadv, SFOG, DW, SFNE, Knoebels, Hershey, IOA. As well as the coasters: KK, Nitro, Superman: Ride of Steel, MF, TTD, The Hulk, DD, EE, and soon to be El Toro.
  11. I have the FUNNIEST picture of me, my friend, and my mom on Nitro! My mom looks like she's about to explode! Her face is blown up so badly, shes grasping the bar so tight, and her face is PRICELESS! If only i could find it...
  12. Batman and Robin: The Chiller by far! I love the ride spiels (sorry if I spelt that wrong) that they say like right as soon as it's about to launch they go...goodbye and lanching right about...now.
  13. I've been on the Coney Island Cyclone MANY times, and there is no tunnel on the ride anywhere. Anyway the best tunnel looks like Hades to me. I mean there's not one straight piece of track in that tunnel!
  14. My aunt just moved right by Seaside Heights (where Funtown and Casino Piers are) and I havent been there since I was like 9 so I can't wait to go back
  15. I loved the Funtown Pier Log Flume. It was my first ever log flume and it had some pretty big drops. Does anyone know why it was removed in the first place?
  16. The corkscrew is getting pretty old. IMO, I think that more looping coasters should get the inverted top hat, like the ones on Mr. Freeze and Batman and Robin.
  17. I really cant wait to ride this thing this spring/summer!
  18. Didn't we have a thread about this already?
  19. Every summer I usually go to a water park at least twice. I LOVE THEM! My favorite by far though is Splish Splash, my home water park. You can't beat an 85 foot speed slide...even if it does give you a wedgie afterward
  20. I love the park...plus I beat you all in Long Island with 20 INCHES
  21. I think my favorite is SFGadv, but I really like a lot of the other parks. Some of the best SF parks I think are SFGadv, SFoG, SFoT, and SFGa. I say SFMM is way too overated.
  22. I would REALLY like to see a rocket coaster there, one kinda like Storm Runner, or even a B&M Dive Machine.
  23. ^RCDB lists them as Accelerator Coasters
  24. 1. Yes I'm pretty sure 2. A wheel fell off and the train halted at the bottom of the first drop
  25. Hey..I couldnt find a topic like this so I'm gonna start it. Whats your favorite Intamin Accelerator Coaster? Remember these are just opinions so dont make this into LETS BASH A COASTER THREAD. So whats your favorite? Mine has to be Storm Runner because I LOVE the inversions they're just AWESOME!!!
