  1. People are born into who they are meant to be, no one really gets to choose. However, there is a kid at my school who keeps switching orientations just so "people will talk about him". He said he wants people to talk and gossip about him basically. He goes from straight to gay like every 2 months. I personally don't get that mindset at all because frankly, all the talk that is going around about him isn't good, it's kinda bad. But I think the people that have the most problem with "different" orientations is the older generations because that is just how they were raised but the "new" generations are just more acceptable to changes and the like. --David "I like me the way I am" Williams

  4. As for SFoT, all of the rides there are very good. It is a very nice park and has a selection of rides for everyone in the family to do. Some notable rides there are Texas Giant, Titan, Mr. Freeze, Batman, etc and some of their flats are a lot of fun. I am able however to give a good review on SFFT/Sea World as that is my home town. At SFFT, there exist a couple of good rides, however it is not a very big park. It is one of the nicer Six Flags parks in terms of looks however, due to the fact that it sits in a hole, it gets extremely hot there. While I love Superman, I think it is one of the most over rated coasters ever. It is a lot of fun but after a while, it just isn't that amazing as everyone makes it out to be. I guess I'm just spoiled. There are a couple of flats also. One thing I like is that Scream is a sort of powerful SS tower that runs all three towers in combo mode constantly. Poltergeist is a fun ride and that never has a very long line. The Rattler-prepare to get the crap beat out of you if you sit in any of the back three cars of the back row of any car. For a smooth ride, sit in the very front other wise, I'm really sorry. The roadrunner is probably a very good mine train and it is a lot of fun with tight turns and fast speeds. Yes, Tony Hawk is a clone. As far as flats, they have a few but all in all, SFFT is not an all day experiance and you can get everything done in a few hours even on a Saturday. 30 min away at Sea World, that is an all day experiance. However, it is not as much thrill seeking. They have the Steel Eel, Great White, JTA etc. Steel eel is a lot of fun if you sit in the back. JTA while not as bad as everyone makes it out to be, it is a very fun little ride and it also looks really good. Honestly out of Tony Hawk or JTA, I'd pick JTA just because JTA doesn't sit in the middle of a grass field. The shows at Sea World are pretty good with the best being the VIVA show. I have not watched the shows at SFFT so I can not comment on which are better. Summer nights at Sea World is always a good thing to catch. Also, Sea World has a pretty good waterpark not for size, but because of quality. I hope this was somewhat informative and have fun living in Frisco! I'm going to UT arlington next semester so I might see you at SFoT one day! --David
  5. I qualified for state in all 4 of my events! And on top of that I got 4th overall in my 200 IM out of 26 kids! But even better, after state, I quit swimming since I'm not doing it in college and I finally don't have to swim for 5 hours every day! --David
  6. I am having the hardest time focusing on school since I'm a senior and it's my last semester. I don't do homework, study or anything anymore. Plus my parents are annoying the crap out of me as they don't want me to go too far away for college. --David
  7. I think it looks really good even though the previews don't release a lot about the movie itself. I think it is just going to build the anticipation. Hopefully it doesn't make everyone suffer from anticipointment though. --David

  9. ^Wow that's kinda funny actually though with how that turned out. Oh the irony.^ Gay
  10. That is incredible for a water park to look like that! Most theme parks can't even come close to looking that beautiful. The park is going to definately be an experiance when it opens and I hope that one day soon I can get out there and enjoy it! All of the slides/buildings look like they "belong" as in terms of theming. I also love how everything is built into the ground so it is not just a bowl on supports sticking a couple of feet into the air. They way they designed the park as a whole is just going to add to the amazing experiance that is to be held there! --David
  11. Hoping everyone has a very Happy Holiday season from San Antonio, Texas!

(It now saws on top "BAD DRVNG?" and on bottom " CALL 1-800-SRY!") The book collection "His Dark Materials" by Philip Pullman An alarm clock $50 American Express Gift Card Debit Card thing $55 Best Buy Gift Cards (total) A Christmas Towel from my Grandparents (It's really pretty) Money and other random stuff from family I barely know. --David
  13. College applications are too long and too many B.S. essays. But on the plus note, I finally got all 4 of mine out the door. Hooray! On a bad note, the number 2 kid in my class is applying to 22 different schools ($2000 in application fees) just because he isn't sure he is going to get into a good college...now come on, that is just rediculous. --David
  14. You may be a good driver and that is good, however, most accidents happen to people not expecting them to happen. What do you think would happen to that car if it went through what I went through. An 80 year old man fell asleep in a Mercedes SUV and hit me head on. You saw my car, and I was in an SUV. Imagine what that car would look like. --David
  15. Wow how dead on is that quote?! Their prices are double, their waits are double, their dispatch times are double. etc. From my experiance working at Sea World, believe it or not, the majority of San Antonians (my word I made up) actually have passes to both parks. People that only do one are in the severe minority. I think the ride is a good addition, however, I think a lot of people will notice as I get told that the "Great White" is the same as BTR in Arlington a lot. --David
  16. Allan is 21 today! (primogen 18) But a not so happy thought, I slammed my finger in my register drawer today at work. It still hurts. --David
  17. From where you are--Lifehouse...I might see them, Three Days Down, Good Charlotte, Plain White T's in concert! --David
  18. Sea World will be open through December 31. Six Flags Fiesta Texas will be open same time. However, several major rides including Superman, Rattler, and Road Runner Express will be CLOSED. I'm not sure about the other parks.

  21. A lot (most...well, all but one) of my friends have no problem with it. But there is just this one girl and she is a total homophobe. Everyone at school always tells her there is nothing wrong with it but she still doesn't get it. Oh well, I'm just happy that all my friends are cool with it.
  22. Sorry but I'll have to disagree with you there as that means the brakes default open. Brakes on roller coasters always default closed. What if the power goes out? By your explanation, all brakes will then default to open. However, the only thing I know for sure is that something caused fluid to leak out and that is all, anyone on these boards knows. However, if there is an expert to Vekoma brakes, please lend us your insight. I think the reason the train stopped so fast in the video was that it was empty. Have you ever seen an empty boomerang? It stops in the station but when fully loaded, it goes all the way out of the station to coast back in again. My two cents --David
  23. Read my post above^. lol. That's all it is, a brake is no more forceful during certain times as weights default the brakes to closed closed but take air preasure to open them (counter balance the weight). That means when closed, they are always closed with the same amount of force. Never more, never less. --David
  24. Every time your on a roller coaster. What do you think slows you down? A closed brake. The brakes are no more forceful during an e-stop than during a regular stop. The only difference, its on a different location they got stopped than normal. And plus, they were on a lift, if it stopped on the lift, they were just going to be hanging there in no danger at all. --David
  25. SFFT Tony Hawk was fun but come on, what was with the theming? Superman is just meh at best. It is just a boring cookie cutter BM. Boomerang-OMG there is one at like...EVERY PARK! Rattler-Ouch after the first drop you want it to be over already and is a piece of cr*p. Roadrunner-Fun minetrain but does not have good pacing. It gets fast and then slow and then fast and then BAM breaks! Poltergeist-fun but very rough now And then some mediocre flats. The theming there looks like they started and then ran out of money. You can do everything there minus the shows in about 3 hours on a day with Plain White T's playing there. Trust me, I was there and it was pathetic. --David
