  1. Quick thought on Josh Hamilton: The years of drug use are catching up to him, the man has an Adonis exterior, but a china doll constitution. He is certainly "second" when it comes to his health. He'll recover, but how long until his next injury On the Pirates vid: The cops were over this line in this one, reminded me of one of those "bully videos" you see on YT on occasion, the cops were looking to start trouble and had a crowd that was looking at jumping into the fracas themselves. I'm not letting the guy off, but the cops did overreact in this situation..
  2. Since ive never been to one of the bashes before, what type of frivolity goes on at these affairs?
  3. Chuck, your TRs are about the best thing on here! How I wish I had your talent or wit with the written word..
  4. Amazing TR there crew, That was a cool wedding, might do something like that for the big 1-0, as my wife wants to see the UK
  5. I was out there last evening getting my passes processed as well, it was fun, but waaaaay too packed. I did get a ride on mine train, but walked the park the rest of time out there..excellent TR!
  6. It'll be nice to get to meet all you people at the Giant bash, went and picked up our season passes last evening and took some pics of the giant, I tell ya, it'll be nice hanging out at SFoT with some grown folks..
  7. Great pics guys You mom seems to have an amazing photographic eye!
  8. Mine has been purchased...as im giving the wife a day w/o me to relax, god knows she deserves it
  9. I am ready for this..I need to both get some coaster action in AND build my friend circle a bit more Robby Robb, are you going to hit any decent BBQ while your in town??
  10. I really liked the TR robb, Especially all the BBQ shots If its one thing the Aussies do right is the outdoor BBQ..and good looking shelias
  11. When it comes to my local SF park (SFoT), I really have no complaints, as its a different setup when it comes to ownership. The park feels the same as it has since I was a kid. I will say much of the Dan Snyder-introduced ideas were pretty decent, most including guest services, which were up to snuff, if not better than, the Time-Warner era of park operations. My major concern with the post- dan era is the customer service angle, which will more than likely slip in quality with the corp-owned parks.
  12. ^ I blame the American educational system Beemerboy
  13. Hard question...To me, I live here in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and im pretty impressed with what this state has to offer ride-wise. Ive been other places (LA, Orlando) and have to say while they're great places to visit and hang out, I wouldn't want to live there, especially Central FL, as its a giant tourist trap
  14. This is why I love the Aussies, unabashedly honest about themselves and their culture, not to mention the fact they relish in it..We yanks could take a lesson or two from our friends in the southern hemisphere..
  15. Dont forget taking out old people carts and blocking the fatties from getting their meaty chili-covered funnel cakes..
  16. Dublin Tx Dr. Pepper..If you know what im talking about, you know how good it is...if not, read up on it via the google box
  17. ^You forgot the 15 mins for properly adjusting the toupee before you go outside, 20 mins if its windy.. not to mention the 8-10 mins to pull out the oxygen tank, ask Jeff Johnson about that one BTW
  18. I went ahead and joined the other day, still unable to access the members boards
  19. Quick prediction: Rangers will make it to the AL West series, but not entirely sure they'll win it.
  20. Ive always been curious, outside of theme park adventures in the Greater Los Angeles area, what other activities do you folks enjoy in the city of angels?
  21. ^But remember Jak, not all of us are 19 and speed demons For us grown people (30+), it takes around 4 hours to get to A-town, and about another 40-60 mins to get to schlitterbahn, add on another 20 to get to SFFT..
  22. SFFT and Schlitterbahn are about five-six hours by car, as they are located in the San Antonio area..
  23. I'll be getting my dual passes (Park/Hurricane Harbor) for the wife and I processed next weekend. Also, im curious if anyone knows if we'll be hitting any local texmex or BBQ joints during the event? Also, I signed up for ClubTPR, I await my cool swag in the mail!!
  24. Ya gotta love north texas weather, one day its bright and sunny, the next its crazy hail, rain and wind. As the great Harold Taft once said, if you dont like the weather in North Texas, wait five mins...not that its going to do so... Also, It'll be cool actually meeting some people who have something in common w/me, I didn't know we had plenty of ride nerds in our neck of the woods!!
  25. I Just joined via PayPal..I look forward to all the cool stuff coming my way!!
