I'm very very unfamiliar with this park but from what I can attain from reading these past pages is that IMO Cedar Fair's best bet is to sell it. The park obviously isn't going to get much better. Or they can pull another GL and make it just the waterpark. Like I said in the KI discussion thread yesterday, KI is the only major park without a major invert (SLC, B&M, Impulse) so Flight Deck (obviously with a different name) would go great. Survivor, Drop Tower etc., could pretty much be placed anywhere that doesn't already have a drop tower. Vortex I can tell isn't that great. If they're gonna put it anywhere it would be a cheap fix for one of their parks. Other than that, there really isn't any worthwhile ride (Grizzly ). Either way, no matter what happens, I've read like 1000 times just on these last few pages that Invertigo was soooo amazing and sooo reliable. HELLO!?!?! Every invertigo like EVAR has had issues. What about Two Face at SFA!? What about the news that even I heard about in NY about it getting stranded for like 5 hours!?! C'mon people I know I may not know what I'm talking about and since I've never been on one but from what I can gather, this ride is crap.

Serious Question: Variable Pricing?
eltoro96 replied to milst1's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I've only been to U.S. parks, and they all have been one price all the time unless there are promotions. The parks around here usually give them around the time they open because school is off and the weather is crap. The worst is when you have to pay full admission just to enter VV I'm the only one who rides in my family -
Kings Island (KI) Discussion Thread

Hey, Just wonder if it's just me or is KI the only "large" U.S. park without a large invert (SLC, B&M). Flight Deck and Aerial Chase don't really count IMO . -
Coasters at Night
eltoro96 replied to Erik Johnson's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
MF is AMAZING at night during halloweekends because ALL of millennium island is COVERED in fog. It's very cool. Also, Boulder Dash at LC is 10x for uncontrollable at night. The airtime is insane! -

Is anybodys home park their favorite?
eltoro96 replied to pkdcoaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Great Adventure is fun but not even close to CP IMO. I find the crowd there rowdy and I just have a thing against all six flags parks as not being pure (i know what i just said makes no sense but it does in my mind lol). -
What is the best floorless?
eltoro96 replied to ddaver177's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I've been on Bizarro, Scream, Dark Knight, and Kraken. Kraken is definitely my favorite because of the awesome first drop and the fun intense inversions. The other ones aren't very unique and I find interlocking corkscrews the biggest gimmick on a B&M. -
SFGAdv or Cedar Point
eltoro96 replied to the ghost's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Um yeah I would consider these parks crazy similar (the only one more similar to CP is SFMM). El Toro beats every ride at CP. I consider KK and TTD the same so don't really put those into consideration. Green Lantern is gonna be awesome and Mantis sucks so if you want a good standup go to Great Adventure. Personally, I hate MF and Nitro, but love Magnum. Raptor and Batman are both good. But like a lot of other people said, CP has way more variety and the rides are way more unique. -
ok seriously dude, this is my life story . i dragged my parents to SFMM when we were on vacation in LA, CP from Cleveland, and to BGT when were on Sanibel Island. I can't remember the last time I went to a park not as a single rider because they hate rides.

What are your TOP TEN COASTERS
eltoro96 replied to ddaver177's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I've only been on about 80 and they were all at pretty generic parks but here goes: 1. El Toro - SFGAdv (AIRTIME!!!) 2. Montu - BGT (love the crazy forces) 3. Maverick - CP (the best of everything: airtime, forces, inversions) 4. Deja Vu - SFMM (Personally, I thought it was an insane (insanely fun!) ride 5. Magnum - CP (LOVE the bunny hills at the end) 6. Kingda Ka - SFGAdv (Not the most amazing ride, but the rush you get makes it awesome) 7. X2 - SFMM 8. B:TR - SFMM (Blacked out!) 9. Hulk - IOA (never gets old) 10. Raptor - CP -
Six Flags Great Adventure trip planning

Stay away on Saturdays or promotional days!!! I've had some very bad luck (look at the SFGAdv discussion thread for my experience last year) -

Seriously?! We better start praying for the rest of these huge amusement plans all over the UAE. -
love that place! Canobie Lake is only an hour away and that's going to get so much better with their new eurofighter this year. Yay for small new england parks near my sleepaway camp!

I went one week after opening day during spring break last year which turned into a disaster. All tickets were $10 off (I think to get more crowds in since on opening day the high was 40 degrees!), it was the first nice day so far in 2010 (high 70s and sunny), and since it was only their 3rd day open, rides were breaking down left and right. I waited 2 hours for superman immediately after opening because it broke down for an hour (including cycling empty trains for 30 minutes), El Toro was running one train on and off which ended up being 2 1/2 hours in the sun because they didn't put up the shade things yet, and Kingda Ka was 4 HOURS (the line was well into the golden kingdom) with two trains and bad operations (one train every 4-5 minutes). so basically I wouldn't go in the first few weeks.
