  1. Wait a minute.... 250 guys that look like him have to be rescued each year?? Where the hell do I sign up for that gig???????
  2. Good for you Barry.... your letter made all the right points and I am glad they responded so well! Shari "not so pathetic single rider on many occasions" Shoufler
  3. Hi Andrea! No worries about the English... you did just fine! Rock N RollerCoaster is a lot of fun and, in my opinion, relatively mild as compared to many of the other coasters. To put it in to perspective... I have a great friend and she and her husband travel to WDW several times a year. She is not at all a "coaster enthusiast", but I am pretty sure she has ridden this several times. When I was last there in 2001, I rode it once and loved it. I was so caught up in the theming and the synchonized music I couldn't tell you much about the "coaster" except that it was great fun! Hope that helps! Shari
  4. What a pretty tree.... I don't know that I have ever seen pics of SW at Christmas. Santa Shamu is soooo cute! Shari
  5. lol Lou.... I bet your mum is wondering what's really on those tapes.... Shari "Shame on you, Robb " Shoufler
  6. I collect gingerbread men so I want that whole display!!! This looks like a really nice event! Shari "go try to steal the gingerbread set for me, will ya?" Shoufler
  7. Getting all caught up again and WHEW!! is there a lot to get caught up on! What awesome scenery and funny rides. I have to ask about the temperatures and Robb's comment about "East Coast parks", which I took to mean US parks. What is the temperature there and why do they keep their parks open when we don't? In addition to climate, the US parks have always cited the decline in tourism in the winter months-basically making it not worth the operating dollars to be open. In many of the pics you guys look like you are the only ones there, so I am curious to know how it is financially possible for the parks to be open? Continued fun and safe travels... Shari
  8. This totally caught my eye because I have been mulling over the possibility of making Hershey my #2 choice for vacation destination if I can't swing WDW next summer. I have seen all the "Hershey" stuff on the Travel Channel and since we are all big fans of Hershey chocolate and amusement parks, not to mention that we could drive versus fly, I was thinking this might be a possibility. Since I have never been there, obviously the park would hold more interest to me than for someone who calls HP their home park. I was on their website yesterday and thought that it looked like they had a fun collection of rides. I am especially partial to flat rides that you can't find in a lot of the "corporate" parks-like Tilt O Whirl and the Whip. Shari "Always wanted my picture taken with a giant piece of candy" Shoufler
  9. Merry Christmas Soren! To address your remarks about the celebrations here in the US, people do both. Some families celebrate on Christmas Eve, some Christmas Day. However, Santa comes while you are sleeping and your presents are waiting for you in the morning (or in our case, 3:15 a.m.!!!!) when you wake up. It's only 1 p.m. here in Ohio and I have been up since 5 a.m., since I was able to hold Sammi off until then. Your mom is a lovely lady and you all look like you had a great Christmas!! Shari "I need a nap" Shoufler
  10. And here I am, and all I can think is... "Damn tiny girl who can't find things that are SMALL enough in the women's department......." Shari "shops in the elephant department" Shoufler
  11. First of all... since it's Christmas Eve, I'm going to wish you guys Merry Christmas and continued safe travels. Second, I am going to say "kudos" to Robb for his comments above^... I have never believed those "reports" anyway, as I would expect a higher standard for anything with the Disney name on it. Finally, I have to say that the Chip and Dale deelybobbers are absolutely the most awesome Elissa-friendly accessory ever. I do hope you purchased those as they are sure to be one-of-a-kind. Looking forward to more of your trip! Shari
  12. CiCi's has frequent diner card??? Our doesn't have that!!! Shari "I love their brownies" Shoufler
  13. Soren, that is too, too cute! We have two, both are Disney. One was a gift from a friend of mine, the other one Sammi and I bought at WDW in 2001. Sammi's hangs on her bedroom door, mine hangs in our bedroom. Shari "I don't have a digital camera so I can't share a picture as usual" Shoufler
  14. Since I knew you TR would be, in fact, massive, I put off reading it until I had time to sit down and enjoy it. I am stuck here at home today (Sammi is sick) and so I sat down and we looked through it together. All I can say is AWE-SOME!! First of all, I love Adventures Club, too..... one of my favorite places at WDW outside of the parks. Love the bar stools!!! What's up with no character pics, or are those on your website? Margaritaville! I am a Parrothead so you know I was impressed with your visit there!! Great TR as usual. Thanks for sharing with all of us! Shari
  15. Congrats, Mark!! I am in Ohio and have never heard of this school...where is it? It looks awesome! Shari "southern Ohio" Shoufler
  16. How cool are they in their TPR shirts? And Mom White offering up her commentary of their day-hillarious! That was great! Thanks for sharing Mr. and Mrs. W....... I loved your TR! Shari
  17. Last weekend, my little angel played a little angel in her dance studio's version of "The Nutcracker". The studio does this as a benefit performance for the high school after-prom committee. With the funds they raise throughout the year they put on one hell of an after-prom party...with the hopes of keeping the kids safe and away from drugs and underage drinking. They even give away a car as a "doorprize"!! Anyway, our kids put on this really nice performance and, being a proud mom, have to show off a bit! Happy Holidays! Shari With her ballet/tap teacher, who also played the Nutcracker Sammi and her fellow angels on stage With Angela, our Sugar Plum Fairy Backstage before going on
  18. This is the first movie in FOREVER that we are all excited to see. Think this is going to be our "New Years Eve" activity. Can't wait. Shari
  19. ^^lol Holiday Fest at the Beach Waterpark has these life sized flat-wood cut outs of the Miser Bros as well as Hermey and Rudolph. You could tell they were handmade, but they were really well done. I called the park, emailed the park trying to see if I could get the name of the person who made them, but no one ever answered me. I think they thought I was nuts!! Shari
  20. I haven't met you personally, Dave, but the mental image I have of you going down the street blaring the Heat/Snow Miser song at people cracked me up BIG TIME!! Nestor, the Long Earred Donkey was a tear jerker, as was poor little Aaron, the Little Drummer Boy! Shari
  21. Shari
  22. I am boycotting the Reds this season over the Sean Casey trade. He was my favorite (current) Red and was such an asset to the City. I am stunned that, given how badly they have sucked the past couple years, that they would trade a player so totally beloved by the fans...especially for a pitcher who's had shoulder surgery in the last two years or something. Stupid, stupid Reds. Shari "I hope they end up in last place" Shoufler
  23. Rudolph, Frosty, The Little Drummer Boy.... for most of us who grew up in the 70's and 80's these Christmas shows were the best! Many of them debuted when I was a little girl. Thanks to cable and the fact that we are now watching them with our own kids, these shows are even more popular now. Do you have a favorite show? Favorite character?? I love them all, but my top two favorites are: Rudolph Hermey the Elf, need I say more? Year Without a Santa Claus Heat Miser and Snow Miser...they rock!! Shari "I have a complete collection of YWASC pvc figures that I won't take out of the box" Shoufler
  24. ^^ My husband's personal favorite Christmas album!! You forgot "Jesus, Bethany, did the room clear out?" or something to that effect....that was my late niece's favorite line. We loved that movie!! My favorites are: Christmas Vacation White Christmas (RoseMary Clooney and Bing! They were the best!!) Christmas Story The Christmas Shoes (tv movie, Rob Lowe/Kimberly Williams Paisley.... great song made into a movie that had a storyline that hits home with me, so I just sob buckets) Miracle on 34th Street It's a Wonderful Life One Magic Christmas When Mary Steenburgen realizes that she's holding her childhood Santa letter, I just lose it! Shari "I love Christmas" Shoufler
  25. No, it can be blamed for the fact that it only had 3 "cars" on the entire ride that held a maximum of two people (and not comfortably if you are not a small person). Rode it several time over the past few years...until my daughter got big enough for other coasters! Shari
