  1. Im glad you had fun! If they could only improve the customer service and ride ops
  2. Holiday World looks really fun. I will take a trip up there with everyone else next summer for The Voyage. I am so happy you got to go to Cracker Barrel. I LOVE THAT PLACE. Everytime I go I just delight in the food and that little tee game placed on the table. Of which I fail miserably everytime.
  3. I rode GASM less than a month ago. I bruised my shin and the last brake run provided a serious moment of whiplash. Ninja *surprise* didnt hurt at all, in fact it was pretty fun! And I will agree with Jammin about Hurler. Backseat is out of the question. Front seat is pretty awesome.
  4. Thank you guys for visiting my home park, looks like you had a good time! Hurler and Vortex DO hurt, im sorry you had to ride them. Hurler up front is much smoother however. When you go to SFOG...the Cyclone and Great American Scream Machine hurt. I mean bad hurt. Beware. LOL. YOU WILL LOVE SUPERMAN.
  5. You didnt like War of the Worlds? :o
  6. Totally...I did that with Top Gun and it worked...weird.
  7. I hit up SFNO last week, on a Thursday. The park itself is quite beautiful. We got there when the park opened, and there were no lines the entire day. However, I must say I found the ride ops to be unfriendly and rude except this one lady in concessions who sold me a Coke. Mega Zeph hurt like crazy. We rode front seat twice, 2nd row once, and the back once. The first drop is very fun, but the trick track step section towards the end of the ride is just plain brutal. Ive been on better wooden coasters. I do not see what the big deal is with Mega Zeph? Batman: The Ride, on the other hand, is great. Great speed, great comfort, good G's. Catwomans Whip is not as bad as you think. Its pretty fun. The top spin is insane! The ride op spun us around in the air 3 times, it had a hell of a program. The Jester was alright, a little bumpy, but going backwards is freaky. The Wild Maus is EVIL. The lateral G's isnt the problem, its the things in the car scraping your legs. It HURTS. The boomerang is very fun and not too rough, but I wouldnt ride it again. Oh...and I will say this, and I dont mean to be racist, but there were several african-american groups with kids who loved to cut in line or just bad mouth me and my brother....needless to say I told them off and if any people from those groups decided to do anything else I would have told six flags. But it was just annoying and made me really mad. I dont know, the food at the park was good though.
  8. Who listens to the media anymore, anyway? All they do is take a biased position (mostly liberal) and blame everything on something else. They are always hypocritical and take everything way too seriously. Yay for Disney, boo for Media.
  9. Its been closed for months now....they just love letting rides break down and leaving them sitting!!!!!!
  10. Im so glad you guys had fun at the Pavilion which is only an hour from my house. Its great little park, and I totally agree with your sentiments. By any chance, was their Top Spin actually open?
  11. Gregg, the evil GASM had water covering the entire grassy area that encompasses the ride.....you should have seen Mind Bender, however....the amount of water covering that area is insane... Screamscape has a video up of the park during the flooding.
  12. On Tuesday, we decided to head to Six Flags Over Georgia. We were already in Atlanta on evacuation orders from the Air Force due to Hurricane Dennis. (My stepdad is in the Air Force). Since there was nothing to do, and the rain stopped, I figured I would take my brothers there and get some prime coaster credits. We arrived at 9:30 and walked right up to the ticket booth to purchase tickets. Luckily for us, instead of having to pay the full 43.99, a lady in front of us have us bottle caps which allowed us to purchase tickets for 27.99. Such a sweet deal! We waited in the line for the gates to open up and in the process observe the Looney Tunes characters dance to the Six Flags theme music. Great stuff, even if they couldnt really dance. So we entered the park and headed for Batman: The Ride. We were going through the shade tunnel but a park guard told us the whole USA and Gotham section were closed for 30 min. due to maintenance. Annoyed, but understandable due to the Hurricane, we went on the Georgia Scorcher. This B&M Standup packed quite a punch, and was the smoothest stand-up ive ever been on. No uncomfortable seating arrangements in the private area. The figure 8 provided us with plenty of G's. After the ride, it turns out that USA and Gotham City was open, so we walked over the hilly terrain towards Batman and experienced a speedy, if not short ride. Every turn and inversion was taken at great speed and all were very intense. Pretty damn good ride, not as good as my home parks invert, Top Gun! . On the ride, we noticed how muddy and flooded the parking lot was, as they were only allowing people to park in the 12 buck close to the park parking lot. Also, MindBender was closed as the loop was halfway flooded with water. I was really looking forward to riding it but what can you do with the weather eh? Next, we rode the scrambler in the dark, Shake Rattle and Roll next, which suffers from the extremely short ride and rude ride ops which yelled at my brother. After the sucky ride, we went to get wet, since it was 11 and already hot as Lucifer. Therefore, Thunder Rapids was our destination, and we got pretty wet in the waterfall, as did the raging rednecks on the boat with us. They were entertaining, to say the least. Next, we went to Deja Vu, which we didnt expect to be open of course. Nevertheless, it was and it was only a 20 minute wait! We didnt even wait for 10 minutes before we got on, and I must say I was truly blown away. Ive never been on a "Super-Boomerang," and I wasnt disappointed. The speed blew us away, and we were super pleased. To avoid long lines, we rode Superman as soon as we left Deja Vu. This flying B&M is right up there with the best rides in the nation, in mu opinion. The pretzel loop provided TREMENDOUS G-Forces, it totally shocked me. Although the ride afterwards is pretty tame, it blows Borg and the Vekoma flyers away by a long shot. Great American Scream Machine was next. I dont know what happened to this woodie, but it really hurts from the backseat. I got airtime, for sure, but brake at the back comes ON a small ending hill, and it kills your shins. How horrible. Also, they were only running one train, so the wait was long. And a family waited 3 times for a train while the ride ops let Fastlane people get in their train. It was really rude...bad operations!!! On the other hand, Ninja was a really good ride! We experienced no jerking or headbanging, just great loops and headchopper effects. I dont get the bad press that it recieves. We had lunch at the 50's Diner next in the USA section, which tasted like food one gets from a high school cafeteria. I swear I had the same burger at the University Cafe this year in college, haha! However, we got free food, as the cashier mistakenly gave us an extra plate and drink, but we didnt say anything and enjoyed the extra food, as much as we could, however. Their food sucks. Except for the Ben and Jerrys we had later. To take it easy on our full stomachs, we rode the Mine Train, which was a really fun family coaster, I was suprised at the three lift hills but we all thought it was still running solid considering its been there for plenty of years. Afterwards, we went to Freefall which is really fun and still pretty fun even if its the father of all drop rides. It didnt hurt and provided many G-Forces on the drop onto our backs. Finally, we rode the Georgia Cyclone which was running one train and a longish wait, and that thing was all EVIL. It needs severe retracking and if it had it, it would be a better ride. I was in the back and didnt recieve any airtime. WTF? We left afterwards cause we were tired and the lines were getting longer. Side Notes: Park operations were terrible, most rides had one train going....Sky Buckets were fun and we enjoyed yelling at people as they walked below....Food is way too overpriced consider the quality.....they charged everyone 12 bucks to park in the close range to the park zone even though it was the only parking lot open....just really rude park staff and operations....not cool....we didnt ride Agrophobia because it really hurts our packages, dont ask why, haha.
  13. Pics from Carowinds. Top Gun at PC! Borg and Vortex
  14. Top Gun-The Jet Coaster at Paramount's Carowinds! [/img]
  15. Great photos! I want to go to Europe! *whines* Does that looping 90 degree coaster give a lot of G's? It just looks odd, but fun!
  16. I heart Vekoma, so far...haha. Ive never had a problem with Borg: Assimilator or their boomerangs. Im sure that will prolly change soon but for the most part Vekoma is fine with moi.
  17. Give me a break JT. Just because you dont like one ride doesnt mean Disney has to tear it down. Others actually enjoy the feeling of launching off into space, and can actually take the G forces without getting sick. Its not all about YOU, JT.
  18. The ride spins riders around really fast in centrifugal (sp?) motion. It is just like the ball that spins around that the astronauts train in. You would never know you are spinning though, due to being inside the capsule. I think its one of the most amazing rides ever and it doesnt deserve bad press because of idiotic parenting.
  19. Any TOURIST that doesnt inform themselves before doing something that involves physical motion is as good as cannon fodder. Disney has the RIGHT to make rides like these because LOTS of people enjoy riding high-tech thrill rides and the excitement that comes along with them. If people dont like them, dont ride it, just dont ruin in for those who enjoy the ride.
  20. I love Mission: Space, I really really do. I love the graphics, the ride queue, the overall ride experience, its just one of my favorite rides ever. And if they seriously decide to get rid of this ride people really need to get a brain check and understand that sometimes people that go to theme parks are idiots and do not take responsibility for themselves or their families. I dont see what the big deal about safety in Mission: Space anyway, I have never found it too intense. Sure, its an intense ride but it is a high-tech thrill ride and it warns you repeatedly that you may hurl, black out, or other medical matters. I feel sorry for the kid who died as he obviously had some idiotic parents.
  21. Who the F*** lets a 4 year old on Mission: Space????????????? Who does? Really? This really pisses me off. If youre a parent. And you have a 4 year old, 4 YEAR OLD, dont let them near anything like that! The videos warn you about 6 times that its an intense ride. BUT THE KID WAS 4! What kind of reckless parents are these? I dont think Disney is to blame these are just parents who really need to pay some attention!!
  22. I am glad you had a decent time at my home park! I dont get people with Borg that say its just an OK ride though. Everytime I ride it (10 times this year) I totally freak out and act like im flying. It never bangs me up, hurts me, or anything of that nature. I love it! Same with Runaway Raptar it never hurts me, but its kinna lame. . Have fun at Dollywood!
  23. http://www.myspace.com/ford_s Feel free to add, I like people unlike some people with MySpace.
  24. The roller coaster of the future will go up, and it will go down.
