  1. ^Right, I had forgotten that they had changed trains. Nice pics Hanno.
  2. It's about freaking time!!! Thanks for sharing Joey. I didn't think the Boomerang was all that bad, and neither was Hellcat. Thumbs up for bonus credits. I had the deep fried Oreos a few days before at Coney Island and they were awesome.
  3. ^Those are Gertslauer trains, at least according to RCDB.
  4. This was a huge issue when I visited on a Saturday about a month ago. I'm glad that has been rectified. Also glad to hear about the two train operation on Comet and L. Ruth Express. Ravine Flyer II was also running with one train and Steel Dragon with only 3 cars. Is this normal procedure, or were there some other issues that day?
  5. ^ I highly recommend the Fast Lane pass for those who don't visit the park very often, or have never visited before. The park is very busy in July and August, especially on the weekends.
  6. Sounds great, but I'm not holding my breath on this one.
  7. If it was possible to be more excited, I now am!
  8. The park looks to need some paint, badly. But they are much better off than Conneaut, so it seems. Nice pics Laura.
  9. Wow. That's a pretty big mistake for a very reputable Toronto paper. Definitely a sad story, no matter what the exact facts turn out to be. Condolences to the employee's family, friends and everyone involved.
  10. People usually split off into groups. I can't imagine you'll end up off on your own unless you wanted to be.
  11. It rained on the day I was at Knoebels last year with the TPR trip and we still had a blast. The operators are very efficient, and they aren't afraid to run the rides to their full potential. Even the kiddie coaster was amazing!
  12. That picture makes me nervous and excited at the same time.
  13. There is also the Vaughn Mills mall on Rutherford Road if your looking for something to eat close by. It's pretty much across the street from the main parking entrance. Here's something I found on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cuisine_of_Toronto#Peameal_Bacon_Sandwich Toronto is a very multicultural city, so you can find food from all over the world.
  14. I totally agree...the money they've spent on this so far they could have done so much else! Hindsight is 20/20 I guess. They knew they were taking on a very ambitious project but I imagine if they knew it would take this long, they would have considered something different. At this point though, they are pretty much all-in.
  15. Nice pics Larry. The pier looks really good, and nice to hear good things about Iron Shark.
  16. It sounds like it could be fun, and they have at least a starting point, in terms of a plan, but it seems a little far fetched to me that this becomes a reality.
  17. Loved New York and Coney Island last year. Cyclone was definitely rough, but not quite as bad as I thought it might be, as long as you didn't sit in the back. Looking forward to seeing the rest of this report!
  18. Nice looking place. Great spot to put an S&S swing!
  19. I can't stress this enough, get a fast lane pass! The park gets Cedar Point like crowds. I'm assuming your visiting for the first time, so start with credits that don't have fast lane access. I'd start with The Fly (Wild Mouse) and if your interested in the powered credit, get Thunder Run right after, and then grab SkyRider (Togo-Standup) as it has terrible ops. Beyond that, just use your discretion. If the lines start getting really long, you can start using your fast lane access and you can always wait until near the end of the day when the park clears out to grab any missing credits. Best seats on Leviathan are either the very front or very back, and Behemoth is best in the back. Have fun!
  20. "WE ARE SEX BOB-OMB AND WE ARE HERE TO SEE SCOTT PILGRIM KICK YOUR TEETH IN! ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR!"
  21. Wow. That didn't take them long to change the restraints. I hope it improves the experience.
  22. Definitely go to New York and ride if you haven't already. It's definitely a religious experience. There is a video in that link as well. http://news.yahoo.com/over-hill-nycs-cyclone-coaster-turns-85-062638945.html
