The Colony
coasterdude5 replied to coasterdude5's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
^^ It's a storyline. -
Preface Introduction to The Colony Work began in mid-April for this storyline project. I wanted to do something that was a step above my previous story projects and had more depth and more of a central theme. The Colony tells the story of a girl who is heading to a new home... The Colony. The story is set hundreds and hundreds of years into the future. The Colony is told from a young girl's point of view as she heads for her new home in The Colony. The girl explains how The Colony came to be. She begins with its beginning. Billions of years ago, The Colony was home to a wide variety of wildlife. The Colony was a beautiful place home to beautiful landscapes. It was home to some of the most unique creatures in the universe. The animals lived together as one. There were no beings that endangered their lives. It was a peaceful place. I invite you to follow along as I post the chapters, to see what The Colony is all about.

Watch: http://youtube.com/watch?v=UYdPw05GstE Dear reader: This is the final trailer for Katrina. Next month, the film that has been in the works for almost a year now will be released. Later this month we will return to New Orleans to get the rest of the footage and interviews needed for the film. This is the true blood of the film. The feelings, the firsthand accounts of rescues, the heartache, the recovery. These will all combine to give the second half of the film its energy. I hope you enjoy this trailer and I look forward to sharing this film with you. Thank you for the continued support. - J.R. Stevenson

HOTEL HELLVETICA 2 I recommend watching Hotel Hellvetica before watching the sequel. Hotel Hellvetica 2 opens as a prequel to the first movie before flash-forwarding to immediately after the last film ended. Megaupload: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=3456YUD8 Vimeo: Post your reviews! -
Crown Park Resort killed Gatlinburg's Outback! Haha, we stay down the street at the Holiday Inn and it was always the closest place to eat at. The random slide at Ober was pretty fun actually, alot better than the blue one. I'm not Mystery Mine's biggest fan, you sorta gotta learn how to hold yourself when you're riding it. Great trip report.

I got some screen grabs of the video I shot along the gulfcoast. These are from my old hometown of Longbeach, MS. I can't remember alot, because I was only a toddler when I lived here, but I remember alot more buildings. Katrina wiped out 90% of the buildings along this area of the coast. Too many foundations... It was good to see alot buildings being rebuilt. A pizza place that I would go to alot after preschool once stood here. It's sad because you want to see places and think "Ah I remember that!" but they're not there. "The tracks" are used as a reference point in talking about the damage. Most buildings past these tracks were kept intact. Luckily, the Subway (favorite place to eat) that I went to alot was still standing. I wonder if the same girl that I had a crush on still works there.... I've still got some more to post. -
Congrats on graduating! One more year for me.

^ The lady told us they knew it wasn't going to sell, so instead of letting it sit empty they gave it to us because the smaller room we originally got had a higher probability of selling. -

Life's a beach. I would stand in the sand and let the tide slowly bury my feet. Another big building. More water. The kiddy pool. The beach was a bit more crowded today. Up next is the National Naval Aviation Museum Whoa an airplane flew right over my head! As you guessed, the musuem consists mostly of airplanes. Helicopter They had this cool street scene. Made me homesick for Disney World. Man: You wanna hook up? Woman: Yeah, if you can get me out of this box. I'm gonna go fly with the Blue Angels. BBL. -

Hershey Hawaii [RCT3]
coasterdude5 replied to coasterdude5's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Hello again! We'll say I'm talking to you through my friend. Hawaiian Escape opened over 60 years ago as a small themepark on this big island in the sea. Over time it grew and grew and was eventually purchased by Hershey Entertainement. The park underwent a transformation from local ownership to corporate ownership. However, the park kept its original feeling to it. As the decades passed by, rides came and went. It seemed as if Hershey was using a rotation program on the rides in the park. Eventually the park became a part of the Hershey Hawaii Resort with the addition of a massive hotel. The park experienced a "low" from Years 31 - 36 after the failure which was Peregrine. But the park made a speedy comeback for Year 37 with the addition of a smaller but forceful SolarFlare which proved to be popular with the guests. More and more changes ocurred. The park celebrated it's Year 50 celebration for three years with the arrival of three new major attractions. The park was the home of the premier to the CD5Productions' movie, Hotel Hellvetica. But as the seasons went on, it became obvious that the park had passed its "hey-day". With attendance levels down with no new major attractions, Hershey decided it was time for something different. Hawaii has never been the same since. Thanks for being with me as I've watched this place transform over the decades. - Your fellow Hawaiian Escape fan Speaking out of character here... I want to take this time to thank everybody who has replied to this thread. When I began making this park, I had no intentions of it lasting for 16 months as it has done. Like I've said before, it was originally going to end at Year 10. I never got bored with this park until I actually removed it and began work on the zoo. But unfortunately, I have the philosophy of stopping something before it runs into the ground. I think I might have let the park go a bit too long but nevertheless I enjoyed every minute of it. I know several of you have been asking "what next"? Well, I'm going to be focusing on Katrina and Kingdom de Espana for the time being. I do have two projects in the works: - Orleans Boardwalk - 2 is coming (I'll let you guess on that one) But right now it will be nice to have only two projects to work on. As of right now, I do not intend on any more updates for Hershey Hawaii. Down the road I might come back every once in a while for a "special edition" update, but nothing regularly. And now, I present the final Hershey Hawaii update. _______________________________ Aloha! GardenRunner is preparing for another day! Bikini Bottom waterpark was busy today. Rockbottom Falls usually has a longer line! It's funny - I don't think there's ever been a sea turtle featured on the show. The slide complex blends into the wall. People heading towards the zoo. Outback does great business here. ...as does Friday's The day comes to a rainy close... Yet the volcano still looks great. Thanks for reading. Who know's what tomorrow will hold for this place. -

I recently returned from a great vacation in Pensacola Beach, Florida. I used to live on the gulf coast so it was great to see some familiar sights from my old hometown of Long Beach, Mississippi. We used to live in a cove and I actually picked out which house was ours after not seeing it for about 12 years. We called ahead to the hotel as we were on our way to reserve a beach side room. Then the lady randomly upgraded us to the hotel's penthouse suite for no charge. Hey, there's nothing wrong with that! I had never been to Pensacola before and it's a pretty cool place. Most of Pensacola Beach is made up of newer buildings. Hurricane Ivan destroyed many of the buildings back in 2004. There was some pride event going on during the weekend. I don't have anything wrong with it, but when there are more rainbow flags up than American flags on Memorial Day weekend... Just my opinion, though. Onto the pictures: Yeah, I think I can get used to this. The view out of our room. Because it was a big weekend I had to wear this so I could get back into the hotel. Except they never checked for it... Looks like a storm's a brewin! There were some jellyfish in the water but I never got stung. Now the sky's clearing up! The water was crystal-clear. WHERE ARE THE FREAKIN DOLPHINS!?!?!?!? Hey, more power to you. The waves never got too large but they were still big enough. My camera accidentally took this shot... All new buildings are being built with some heavy-duty materials. I'll have some more up later.

Nice trip report, that first shot made me think, "whoa, they really put some money into that park!". It pays to read the captions.
