Well, no. We haven't had a single tropical "disturbance" since August 29. 2005. No tropical storms, no hurricanes, nada. This summer has been completely dead, and I'm fearing for all of the new out-of-towners who have come in to work as contractors/whatever. They don't know the routine like the locals do, and when something DOES come, they're in for an experience. I'm not saying New Orleans is now 100% hurricane-proof because we got boned by the worst of the worst, I'm saying that I see a trend of NOTHING COMING. I don't think the 16-year-old from Tennessee should tell me about my climate. I know just as much about New Orleans as I do Memphis, buddy. I also know that predicting the weather is impossible. I'm making a tribute documentary about Katrina, and I will agree that alot of people do believe that the city is in a disaster state. But that's aside from the fact. I hope SSA proves me wrong. I want this park to reopen - I know I'll be there next summer if it reopens.

You're joking, right? If this group is legit, I'm all for it. However, I think they're using this "non-disclosure" agreement to hide behind. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm not... it doesn't really matter right now. But if I had to bet, I'd bet on this not happening.

They could take the "c" out. Bush Gardens Europe. Then the GP might think the parks have ties with the president. Probably not the best idea.

Whoa, I didn't know they removed Trailblazer! I'm glad there were no fatalities. Hopefully this won't happen again.

THERE'S NOTHING OFFICIAL. No press releases, no construction, no change... They don't even have the money to do this. So far, anybody with a computer could do what they've done so far. I want this to happen as much as anybody else - but I have little faith in this group... inc. or not.

Something about this still doesn't seem right - but I'll reserve my comments until I see more real news.

^ I don't think there's even a chance Six Flags or Cedar Fair will pick these parks up. Their debt load is too huge.

Update Year 6 Hola! Here's the last update from our sixth season! It's been a very busy one. I've been told this construction is not for next year's attraction. The Year 7 addition will go past Avispa's station. The Year 7 attraction will be announced tomorrow! Mas, pronto!

I think you're getting a little ahead of yourself. It's not guaranteed, but the parks will likely change owners, not close down. Now the parks' quality might decline, but I doubt we'll see the parks actually closed. Who knows though. BTW, I don't think those coasters could fit at other parks.

It's sad to see this happening. I still hope they create a spin-off company for the parks so they can at least stay together.

^ This is the summer! During the school year I can get alot done in about 2-3 hours a week. Not so bad. Update Year 6 Hola! How is everybody doing today? Vultura is still going strong at the park! I figured TPR would be a good place to start for this. I've been with Freewebs as a "premium member" for about three years now, and my site (www.coaster101.com) is somewhat slowing down because of the limitations with Freewebs. I'm getting tired of trying to make the site look like it has php, I'm tired of trying to incorporate the forum into the main site using "iframes", etc. I need a new start. The good thing with Freewebs is that you don't need to have alot of knowledge about html or php (it's not supported). I want to move my site to a new host while keeping the same domain. I want the site to be php-based, but I'm not sure which host would be the best for what I'm looking for: - Easy-to-build photo gallery - Integrated forums - More interactivity than the site has now. Sorry if a sound a bit noob-like, but you guys helped me out alot when I was first starting the site. I would appreciate anybody that would be willing to help.
