  1. I agree with this. Their version of Tomorrowland was nice enough, but tiny compared to the other parks.
  2. Yes, I think it's going to be both irritating and amusing for quite some time.
  3. Nostradamus must've written a quatrain about this.
  4. You can talk about the Disney/Lucasfilm deal here: http://themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=63943.
  5. lol! You mean that the picture of the coaster collapsed in the water wasn't good enough for you??? I'm sure that a few determined enthusiasts with kayaks or fishing boats could have this coaster disassembled then reassembled on dry land in no time.
  6. Sheesh! Good sandwiches must be hard to come by in LA.
  7. ^So you admit to being a "SoCal tightwad"? I'm hoping to get to DL early next year--might just check out Earl of Sandwich then.
  8. Sounds like every tightwad in SoCal wanted to score that 25-percent-off sammich.
  9. Yes, I assume they have insurance for something like this. With any luck, they may just get a better ride out of it.
  10. ^^Yes, based on the video, not exactly a great loss when it comes to coasters. I feel sorry for the pwople who run the park, though.
  11. ^Yes, we didn't get hit all that hard in southeastern Virginia (Hurricane Isabel and Irene were much worse for us).
  12. I loved all the horrible clanking noises.
  13. ^I would file that under "wishful thinking."
  14. ^This was already mentioned in the regular Cruise Ship Discussion Thread.
  15. That's an amazing shot. I couldn't get a decent picture of those slides to save my life.
  16. I still have to try Wich Wich, too. I simply wasn't hungry enough to try anything the last time I was there.
  17. ^ & ^^ I only wish that I could agree with this even more. TDS is still the most amazing theme park I've ever visited.
  18. So, Wildcat's air gates will live on. This ride looks incredible--may have to rethink the TPR Texas/Midwest Trip.
  19. I have yet to try an Earl of Sandwich shop, as it just never worked out for me to eat at the one in Orlando. This roast beef sandwich in the picture works for me, though.
  20. It's looking great--thanks for the pictures, Larry.
  21. ^And there has to be a cat fight between animatronic versions of Tiffany and Deborah Gibson.
  22. I think they needed a more coherent "story" for it. The first greenhouse isn't a bad start, and I liked the bit with the pond, but there were too many stretches where nothing happens; the plants themselves are, well, just plants; and the finish was weak (yet another building filled with strobe lights). I was glad to see the "Lady of the Gardens" character in there, but they needed to do more with her. Perhaps they should change it up next year to a possessed garden that's trying to claim your soul (that way, they could still keep the zombie groundskeepers and give the Lady more to do).
  23. ^I never experienced Kingdom of the Dinosaurs, but I remember Knott's Beary Tales.
  24. I'm sure the burning eyes of the Satanic Raccoon boring into your soul also provided needed warmth.
