  1. Do I gotta do everything around here? Zaturn--Space World
  2. yes ill ride 305 and he will ride fury, nuff said. move along hehe You would do better to read the comments of your Friendly Neighborhood Site Moderator: And heed the wisdom of Lurch.
  3. OK, everyone needs to cool off a bit here. Some prefer Intamin. Some prefer B&M. We all get it. For some folks, like me, this is the most important criterion when "judging" any ride: Is it any fun at all? That should be your main concern.
  4. You might be able to get a good dead from the Extended Stay America in Stevenson Ranch, one exit south of SFMM on I-5: http://www.extendedstayamerica.com/hotels/ca/los-angeles/valencia. Try booking through Orbitz.
  5. If they were to go with a B&M, my first choice would be an invert. ...still the best type B&M has to offer. 2 inverts at one park seems odd to me. I'd be beyond disappointed of they go that route For the last time, we are not getting an Intamin. well at least you realize how annoying you sound and are being. who told you kd is getting a b&m Cedar Fair's history the past several years. 2008 behemoth at CW, 2009 diamondback at KI, 2010 intimidator at Carowinds .KD I put a Intamin, then your argument is wrong. Ermagherd! Lerrn yerr grermer! Oh well, I'll leave you to your beliefs And I'll leave you to review TPR's Terms of Service. Thank you. Carry on, Kings Dominion Discussion Thread.
  6. Can i get a refund.......
  7. If these people exist they need to be fed to some angry ostriches! I am still unsure about this new coaster. I loved the 2 B&Ms the park already has but as its been said before newer B&Ms are not as good as they should be. I hope they prove me wrong and I really believe they can't drop the ball with this any harder than they did with Antartica! "Angry ostriches"-- I still have yet to "experience" Empire of the Penguin in Orlando, but I haven't been in much of a hurry to do so.
  8. ^Apollo's Chariot at BGW has much more "floater" airtime that Carowinds' Intimidator, which was braked to death when I was at the park last April.
  9. I305 has close to no airtime: KD's only coaster with good airtime really is Rebel Yell. That's why the next coaster needs to be some sort of B&M. I found Fury 325 to have almost-Intimidator (not 305) like airtime on its hills. Hmm--have to disagree with your "I305 has close to no airtime" statement, as I've found that it has a few good pops of ejector air. And when I rode Carowinds' Intimidator last April, it had absolutely no air at all (Fury beat it in that department).
  10. I enjoyed Fury, but much like Millennium Force, it seems more about speed (particularly in the first half) than about intensity and airtime (although there are some decent airtime hills on the way back to the station). This isn't a "bad" thing at all. For me, I305 has it all: speed, intensity, and airtime.
  11. Xinhua Park--China
  12. Chimelong Paradise
  13. I'm not sure that would be an awesome ride. I liked that ride quite a bit--but I think it was more for the setting than the ride itself.
  14. International Street opens at 10:00 AM so you can ride Dominator, Berserker, and the Eiffel Tower if you wish before the rest of the park opens at 10:30. Season passholders get the opportunity to ride Volcano and one other ride (its a daily rotation) beginning at 10:00 through the early-entry rope on the Dominator walkway. I wouldn't consider either of these intense at all. In fact, I believe I'd consider Kumba and almost every older B&M invert I've been on more intense than these two rides. Even Afterburn at Carowinds is more intense than Fury. Are you just saying that because you are an Intamin fan (no offense)? Fury is way more intense than Afterburn. Thunderbird is debatable but it's still an intense ride. I would also give the "intensity" prize to Afterburn ahead of Fury. As for what kind of coaster KD will be getting in the future . . . I've no idea. Then again, I like surprises.
  15. Exactly. I'm really looking forward to their new take on Pirates of the Caribbean.
  16. Uminonakamichi Seaside Park (Japan)
  17. And it'll be pretty cool to see glowing light cycles outside after dark. I'm most excited about the park's Tomorrowland and Treasure Cove, but it all looks great.
  18. "Wow" is not strong enough. I hope the park lives up to all the concept art shown here, as it will be truly spectacular. The Seven Dwarfs mining song sounds great in Chinese.
  19. While I wouldn't rate Fury in my "top 5," I enjoyed it--one of the B&M's better rides over the last few years. Technically, I'd say that KD is celebrating their 41st.
  20. Ultra Twister--Rusutsu Resort
  21. I doubt that you'll have much of a problem taking I-64 to I-295, then I-95 to the park on Thursday morning. It takes a little over an hour to get to KD from Williamsburg, so I think you'll miss most of the "rush hour" stuff. I've never tried Rt. 30. Another thing you can do if I-64 looks bad is to take Rt. 60 to I-295 (but you'll have to deal with stoplights, and it takes a bit longer--I imagine Rt. 30 is pretty similar).
  22. ^Then you might start praying for it to be less reliable.
  23. Quicksilver Express--Gilroy Gardens
  24. I do agree that it's a bit "weird" for the Star Spangled Nights celebration to be running until September 6. Illuminights was a bit odd, too, but it also provided an excuse for fireworks.
