  1. August 4, 1973 7th Season Hello friends, I've just got another quick update from the park. Everything is going well for us - attendance is up, publicity is working, etc. In other news, construction has begun on next years additions. Trust me, you won't be disappointed! I'll get onto the pictures: Nothing beats airtime on RPM! Guests still love Grand Wheel for thrills and a great view! Hands up! An overview - the east side of the park. An overview - the west side of the park. Not too crowded over this way, it seems. Look at that splash! Unfortunately, I've heard that Shoot the Chutes may not have much longer... Come out and visit the park soon while the weather's still nice! -Robert Clarke PR Manager Boulder Leisure Park
  2. ^Thank you, and welcome to TPR!
  3. July 1, 1973 7th Season Hello Boulder, I snapped a few more pictures today. Boulder Leisure Park is doing great! Guests love RPM! Bombardiers stands tall over the crowded midways. Mad Mouse has been running great lately - guests still love the tight hairpin turns! Hurler hasn't been doing very well lately. Lots of maintenance issues. Can you spot the identical twins? Modern Motorcars is doing great as well - families love it! Ecstatic Elephants is quickly becoming one of the most popular rides in the park! Have a safe and happy Fourth of July! -Robert Clarke PR Manager Boulder Leisure Park
  4. Looks nice, I like Thunder Racer. The covering at the top of the lift is very realistic for the time period. Nice work!
  5. Oh yes, the tile. I've been meaning to change that - I changed it to the matching red brick on Bumpers' exit, but I still have to change it for Mad Mouse's exit. Parkay?
  6. Which photo are you referring to? The last?
  7. June 2, 1973 7th Season Hello Boulder! I've got quite a few pictures of this years new additions for you. I'll get on with it I guess: Here is a new bathroom building, behind it is Bumpers. Bumpers experienced minor renovations over the off-season. Look at that line! In the foreground is a new pizza parlor, with El Furioso and Bombardiers forming a great background. Don't look down! The area around Bombardiers is beautifully landscaped. Here's Rocky Rumbler's queue and station building. I see Rocky Rumbler sneaking through the trees! Here's the main plaza in our new area. Guests also love our new "Ecstatic Elephants" Come check out all of our new additions! -Robert Clarke PR Manager Boulder Leisure Park
  8. Happy Thanksgiving! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- May 5, 1973 7th Season Boulder Leisure Park is back! Hello Boulder, and welcome to another exciting season here at the park! This years additions include 3 new rides and a new roller coaster. I'll get a few pictures for you today, but i'll focus on additions in my next update. This means that next year will conclude our 5 year expansion plan. This also came with the promise of 3 new coasters: RPM in 1971, Rocky Rumbler this year, and one left for next year. Well, I'll get on with it: Welcome back for our 7th season! Its coaster time! The first train of the year crests the lift. Guests seem very happy to be back! The crowds are filling up the midways once again. We always have a bit of trouble drawing guests back to these areas of the park. The first guests enter the new area of the park. It's the return of Mine Train! We've made a few modifications, and Mine Train is now back as Rocky Rumbler! There's Rocky Rumbler next to the all-new Bombardiers! Here's an overview of most of the new area. Rocky Rumbler at the top, Bombardiers at the bottom, and in the building to the left is the one-of-a-kind "Extra-Terrestrial Thrill Co.", a disorienting thrill ride. A nice view of the entire park. The area in the center has already been cleared for next year's additions. Come out and visit the park! -Robert Clarke PR Manager Boulder Leisure Park
  9. September 30, 1972 6th Season Hello Boulder, It's that time of year once again, where Boulder Leisure Park must close its doors for winter. Be sure to come back next year to see what we've been up to! Just a few last pictures: The Main Midway is going to look really empty this winter compared to this. RPM looks great - come back again next year to ride it again. A wonderfully disorienting view of El Furioso as the last full train of the year climbs the lift. Trying to get one last ride in... There were lots of changes along the main midway this year. Speed Slides were very popular this year. It'll be a long winter for this guest... Hmmm... What's this? Come back next year to find out! See you next May! -Robert Clarke PR Manager Boulder Leisure Park
  10. Thanks for the overview. A few suggestions: - Use a bit more variance with your trees. Alternating the same two trees along all paths is a bit repetitive. Try to use three or more trees. Save a patch of them in the scenery editor, then place them over the empty spots in your park. It will be boring, but it'll look better. - What year is the park set in? Just wondering. - Do you have any CS or expansion packs? I highly recommend these as they really help your park. Lots of new rides come with the expansion packs too, its not just about the waterpark or zoo theme. As for CS, it takes time, but your park can look really nice. If you look through my park (see my signature), I started with no CS and a few rides. After time, I learned to add buildings and landscaping and my park has really "filled out", if you know what I mean. I'm certain that this park could look really nice, just a few small adjustments to be made. Nice start!
  11. ^Thank you! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- September 1, 1972 6th Season Hello again, We're entering the home stretch here at Boulder Leisure Park. We close at the end of the month, but we bring good news! Boulder Leisure Park will open nearly a month earlier next year, at the beginning of May 1973! Anyway, I have a few pictures to share: Grand Wheel got new entrance structures. This restaurant got a new roof. I certainly hope they'll repaint those pink cornices though... The midways are as busy as ever! This area is not quite as busy, but not for long... A preview of next year's additions... Stay tuned! -Robert Clarke PR Manager Boulder Leisure Park
  12. Looking good, I would love to see an overview picture. Woodchopper looks nice! Keep up the good work.
  13. ^Thanks! Back from Montreal... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- August 1, 1972 6th Season Hello Boulder, I've been very busy this past month, as I've been visiting other parks around the country to try to stay on top of all of the latest technology. After all of my travels, I decided I'd like nothing more than to spend a warm evening in the park. I managed to take some pictures for you as well: Some areas of the park are not as busy as others. Even Bumpers was busy! Another full train of happy riders sets out on El Furioso. Don't forget RPM! Look at that drop! Upon my return, there were whispers around the office that Pirates Ahoy may not be here much longer. We'll have to wait and see! Until next time, -Robert Clarke PR Manager Boulder Leisure Park
  14. Looking better with each update! Nice work!
  15. I personally quite like the park - it looks nice and well-thought out. I think the reason you're not getting a lot of responses is most likely due to the increased activity we've seen here in the games forum, specifically with RCT3. We had maybe 3, at most, RCT3 parks last month, but we now have more like 5-8. Competition is fierce, I suppose, but you're park is definitely among my favorite RCT3 parks on the board. Nice work!
  16. July 1, 1971 6th Season Hello again! Attendance has continued to rise now that school is out for the summer. We are hopeful that this trend will continue! In other news, work has begun on next year's expansion area. I can't show you anything yet, but it's definitely going to be a hit! Onto the pictures: A full train of riders is about to disembark Boulder Railway. Here's a better view of the new Grand Carousel building. And here's our new entrance building from the outside. I managed to get two full trains in one shot! RPM is doing well also. I don't think I've seen the line for Shoot the Chutes this full since it opened! Guests love Fright Night Estate when they're feeling the need to scream! Come out and visit the park soon! -Robert Clarke PR Manager Boulder Leisure Park
  17. ^Thanks! Glad to hear you like the park Also... I'll be in Montréal for a few days, so I may not have time to get updates up daily. I'll do my best though. ------------------------------------------------------ June 20, 1972 6th Season Hello again Boulder! Today I bring you pictures of many of our new additions for this year: The new area looking down the hill, the day before opening. The Breeze has been relocated back to this area of the park. That's a long way down from the top of our new "Speed Slides!" Sea Serpent is new this year as well. This new Midway Café serves steaks and hamburgers. An overview of the area. The first guests contemplate riding Speed Slides. This new restaurant features outdoor seating only above a small pond. We also moved Grand Carousel across to the other side of the path, and put it in this new building. The first guests are queuing. Our new entrance building! I'll try to get better shots of the new entrance building and the Grand Carousel for the next update. Have a great day! -Robert Clarke PR Manager Boulder Leisure Park
  18. Maybe a Skycoaster? Lots of parks seem to have gotten them around this time, and it looks like it could fit.
  19. ^Thanks! ------------------------------------------ June 3, 1972 6th Season Hello Boulder! Boy, have I got an update for you! Normally I don't like to say "I told you so", but.... I kinda did. All of us here at the park aren't quite sure what was up with last years attendance, but this year's opening day has brought in twice our previous opening day record! I think my sentiments are best expressed by these pictures: The first guests enter the park for our 6th season. Whoa! What's with all of this? The crowds surpassed our highest expectations. Look at those lines for Boulder Railway and Grand Wheel! Even Mad Mouse has a full queue! Boulder Tower had a few minor mechanical issues this morning, but we got it up and running in under an hour! RPM is doing well too. El Furioso finally has a full train! Even Modern Motorcars is packed! Next update I'll focus on our new additions for this year, assuming I won't get lost in the crowds! Have a terrific day! -Robert Clarke PR Manager Boulder Leisure Park
  20. I don't honestly know. If you have followed all of my instructions above, when you go into a park click on the scenery icon, then find the billboards button. Choose an image in the window that pops up and then scroll down until you find the sign like I had. I think it's about halfway down, past a bunch of counters. Place it where you want it, then click on the ride you want to get rid of the default sign on. Go to the page where you can change the name of the ride, then click on the picture of the queue sign. This will show/hide the default sign.
