  1. Even though I'm not RaptorBoy, I think I can answer your question. The best ride crews - Probably the ones that run Roar and the Wild One and almost all of the flat rides. The worst ride crews - The ones that run Mind Eraser, Batwing, and Superman : Ride of Steel. The crew always take too long to dispatch their trains. (singing) "Oh where, oh where is your head to lie down/ Oh where, oh where can it be?" Thats great to hear about Roar and Wildone. Batwing is understandable as the ride system is what makes it challenging. However superman and Mind Eraser ... I hope those crews get it together.
  2. All I know is that seeing two trains in the loops at the same time was amazing and I had to watch that video like 5 times to soak it in. It be great to see them allow the ride to do this again and to even ride it when it did such.
  3. I love sequencing this invert has! Great job... there's a pov on youtube poasted today with sound that I just watched and its got some decent speed.
  4. Does this only happen when they run 3 trains? Is it possible to do it with two? I wonder how soon after they dispatch the first train that they have to dispatch the second to get that perfect timing to synch the loops.
  5. Just saw the best video here of Lochness Monster having both trains looping at the same time in the double loop inversion. I didn't know this really happened. I wish they could time it do happen all the time. @3:14
  6. RaptorBoy which ride crews stood out as the best and which ones do you think could improve?
  7. Exactly there is no way the park would survive by adding new capital when their operations and guest service was poor. They had to get that in order first. Good service sells and keeps guest coming back and never gets old. Rides and their popularity sometimes do!
  8. Sorry for double post but P.S. Wasn't this coaster in Richie Rich that's a cool random fact they can tell people. They now have two coasters that have been in movies. Apocalypse in Richie Rich and Wild One in Game Change.
  9. Yes there will be a roof over the station. The station will probably be the highest station at the park (typical B&M style) where you have to climb steps to get the platform. The trains are ready from what I've heard too. I assume that park is getting all the electrical together and construction of the station will be in full swing, and landscaping and themeing around testing. The park has plenty of time to have this ride ready for opening. Good Job SFA!!!!!!
  10. I love the look of this coaster. Also the skull's facelift is great. They filled in the mouth and the eyes. They also updated the colors on the facade. It looks great and looks like a real mountain that just happened to form a skulls face naturally. The whole ride actually blends in well with the area which is what I had hoped for.
  11. It looks like its the 150 ft version and not 200ft
  12. I'm grabbing the tissues... I can hear Khan Crying all the way here in America! Poor Baby.
  13. NICE! Can't wait to see this ride start to tower above the park... Also I love the sky screamer light package!
  14. Done, but why doesn't it look 200+ft to me. Maybe it is the scale compared to the Quarry wall ....
  15. I don't know about the colors... But happy to see it get up there in height. Six Flags Fiesta Texas Facebook
  16. With regards to the park map I am surprised that they still messed up Whistlestop park... The capatial railways train is supposed to cut between WSP and JJ. Also They completely forgot to show the back pathway out of WSP between Superman and the back of JJ spaghetti bowl. I remember guest would always look confused when they stumpled on this path because it wasn't on the map.
  17. Correction!!!! The park is permitted to built tunnels!!! But they are required to install a complete sprinkler system. Joker's Jinx has a sprinkler system installed in it's enclosed tunnel.
  18. With the Noise issues, seeing at though Europa Park had GCI use non-steel wheels on their wooden coaster, CGA could do the same and keep the sound from the ride down. They can also add tunnels or sound barriers (i.e. Silver Star first drop at Europa Park) to also help reflect or dampen screams.
  19. I wouldnt expect the park to throw in some expensive world class re-theming on an older ride that might not give them a great return on investment. The way I am thinking is that the park needed to replace its trains (afterall trains have a certain service life, yet trains are expensive). So like Six Flags did with Bizarro at SFNE, to help bring in some return on the new trains they needed, they attempted to retheme the ride in hopes of making it more marketable and basically help make some type of return on their investment (atleast to break even - but they didn't). In this case of the SLC... I can see the same. They are investing in track work and new trains so if they retheme it and give it a new look on a dime then they can possibly break even if not make profit on their investment. Superman was a completely new attraction so it made sense for them to go all out with the theme.
  20. WOW the theming on this GCI coaster is amazing! I love what they did for the indoor queue and outdoor statues are just amazing as well.
  21. There is NO WAY Skyrush cost under 10 million...
  22. SFGAM is one of the top grossing parks in the chain... I don't understand your logic in thinking that they are in need to get ride of V2. Its still popular and there aren't any budget concerns. I'd be more concerned about parks with launch coasters that don't make alot of money... I.e. SFSTL or SFA but they aren't moving their launch coasters either so I think its safe to Dismiss all of this speculation. I could see Rajun Cajun or Dark Knight Coaster leaving before V2 does.
  23. It was running 2 trains when I visited for haunt and the same when I visited early in the sumer
