  1. I still have another 150 eggs left to trade. COASTER FREAK 11 - 100 dropped off ernierocker - 100 dropped off
  2. I'll have more to trade tomorrow. My ID is uscoaster in the game. mush619 - I'm dropping off 100 right now. SuperShawn - 100 to you too. Deathbydinn - you got 100 also.
  3. I can do a big trade with you, got a lot to get rid of. I'm dropping off 250 right now.
  4. I have 300+ tonight to get rid of if anyone wants to trade eggs. I just dumped 110 eggs in Shawn's town.
  5. They have been posting the ERT in the pass holder email and in the Pass Holder Perks page but they have been doing it week by week so far. Opening day, ERT was on Flashback. I think the Gold Pass may get you entry into the park 10 minutes early (based on the reports from SFMM) but I haven't been there right at park opening yet. I will try tomorrow, but since I have to drive from Boston, I can't make any promises. As for the pass processing, they do it right inside the park entrance to the right so I don't think that showing up at 9 will help speed up the process. If they let you in 10 minutes early and you have filled out the forms online, if the center is open you could be in an out in a couple minutes. Otherwise, I would say head towards Bizarro or Goliath if it is open since it only has the one train. I have only been to the park twice so I really can't comment on crowd patterns most of the season, but if the water park is open it might help shorten some of the lines for the coasters. Also,I know that Goliath, Flashback and Thunderbolt only have one train so it might be worth getting on them while the lines are shorter (if you need to get the boomerang). I am unsure if the Cyclone has 1 train or 2, maybe someone else can answer that question.
  6. I have 400 eggs to pass out tonight. Let me know if you want to trade.
  7. I'm going to try to go again tomorrow since the season pass ERT is on Bizarro from 10-11. (Given the number of season passes that they sell, I'm not really expecting a real ERT experience, but I figure I might be able to get on once.) I will also try to grab a picture or 2 of the new slide tower and check out the status of DejaGoliath.
  8. Robb. I dropped off 100 on page 114 when I couldn't sleep Sunday night/Monday morning. I think I filled up the streets on the left side of your Springfield that night.
  9. I have about 150 eggs that need to disappear. Anyone want to trade?
  10. Robb, I can't sleep right now so I'll dump 100 in your town too. ^ And I think I just dropped 68 in your town.
  11. That was probably me. It's also the first part of my screen name in the game so if there is enough room, I've been trying to leave some slightly annoying school spirit laying around.
  12. ^^SFNE has a new season pass processing center this year. They are using the former Thomas Town store which give them at least double the number of actual pass processing stations (and all of them were open when I made it inside). They also had maybe 15 computers open for guests to fill out their personal information if they upgraded the pass in park. I think that the biggest problem was that I went opening day and Six Flags has been very successful at promoting their season passes online. The hour long line was only for people processing their online vouchers. It moved fairly fast considering how long the line was thanks to them only needing to scan the printout and take your picture. That said, if I had decided to buy a season pass at the park, the wait would have probably been 5 minutes plus the time it took to fill out the form on the computer. With the exception of Bizarro running one train, I really couldn't complain too much about operations while I was there. It wasn't up to what I would consider necessary for a weekend in the summer, but it was opening day so I give them a little slack. It was a little cold on Saturday morning and the crowds were not bad when I got there (maybe 1/3rd of the parking lot was full) and as it warmed up (as much as it did) the crowds picked up to the point where when I left at 3:30 most of the main parking lot had cars in it. As for Goliath, the new train looked like it was fully installed and ready to go. I mentioned in my TR that the cable on the station tower was not fully installed (looked to be over the pulley wheel at the top of the tower and then tied to the support at the bottom). The park is open all week this week so they might not be able to get in and finish the cable install until next week. Hopefully testing can begin sometime soon after that.
  13. I think Goliath may have been the only major ride that was closed all day. Catwoman's Whip was testing when I went past and from conversations of other guests, had been running earlier in the day. When I was leaving the sign at the front of the park said that Goliath, Blizzard River and whatever the spinning raft ride is called were closed, but both water rides were operating when I walked past. From what I remember; Cyclone was running one train (not sure if it has a second train in the shed) Thunderbolt only has one train on the track Pandemonium was running maybe 4 cars Bizarro was running one train with the second sitting covered on the storage track Mind Eraser was running two trains (with about a minute wait on the brake run when returning to the station) Batman was running two trains (with up to a 5 minute wait on the brake run while the other train was being loaded and checked) Operations were slow but considering it was the first day and there was definitely some new hire training going on at Batman I wasn't too bothered. That said, the most frustrating part about Bizarro only running one train was the line had to have been over an hour long yet both Mind Eraser and Batman were essentially 1-2 train waits.
  14. A quick update from opening day at SFNE. I spent 4 hours in the park and hit most of the coasters and then spent 1 hour in the line to get my season pass processed. This year they moved the Season Pass center to the train station/gift shop in the former Thomas Town. The train ride entrance and exit has been moved over to the left side of the building and the season pass line enters to the right and exits through the former gift shop. It is a huge improvement over the very small season pass center they were using last year. As for the rides I managed to get on most of the coasters today. I skipped Pandemonium (line length) Catwoman's Whip (closed when I walked past) and Bizarro (one train operation and the line looked like it was at least half full all day). As for the rides I did ride... Flashback - one ride, toward the back of the train. Technically, this was today's Pass Holder ERT ride of the day but since I got there after 11, that was no longer in effect. It wasn't quite as rough as I remember it being last year but I also decided to ride defensively brace myself through the rough spots so that may have helped. Cyclone - 2 rides, one back row, one front row. After two rides, I was kinda bored with Cyclone. I didn't notice any new topper track on the ride (compared to last year) and it appears that the last section of track into the station (the turn under the first drop) has been replaced with normal wood coaster track (fresh wood, etc.). The topper track sections from last year are still smooth and the wheels still make a horrible screeching noise while traveling through that section of the ride (the only negative I can see to Topper Track). Thunderbolt - 2 rides, one mid train, one back row. Thunderbolt is still a fun ride. There is a large banner on the exit bridge saying they are working on fixing it up and painting it (paraphrasing here). From what I could see, they have replaced the track leading from the station to the lift and have scraped and repainted the bottom 10+ feet of the entire coaster. I really should have taken a picture because the bottom 10 feet are nice and shiny white and the rest of the structure is in various states of being repainted. Its great to see Six Flags taking the time to fix up Thunderbolt. Hopefully they can get the rest done before the summer starts. Gotham City Gauntlet - 1 ride. This was closed during my visit last summer so I had to take a ride just for the credit. I have to give SFNE some credit for running at least 5 cars (maybe 6) while I was in line (I think, I do know that 2 were not in use, I can't quite remember which Batman villains where running). Overall it was a pretty fun ride and a pretty decent wild mouse. Mind Eraser - 1 ride, second row. Its a Vekoma SLC... The slight headbanging I experienced (defensive riding again) was made worse by the fact that my ears were very cold and more sensitive to touch than normal. Batman The Dark Knight - 2 rides, both mid train. I liked this a lot more this visit than I did last year. I think its probably a bit more intense as far as B&M Floorless coasters go due to its much more compact layout (versus Medusa at SFDK and Scream! at SFMM). There is some rattle in the corkscrews but its not too bad. Goliath is currently closed with a sign saying it will reopen later this spring. The new train is sitting in the station and it looks very cool. The cable for the station side tower is only partially installed so testing will have to wait. The tower for the new water slides appears to be built up to the main platform height with only the last flight of stairs and the slides left to be installed. Overall, it was a fun day in the park. I was disappointed that I didn't get to ride Bizarro, but I really didn't feel in the mood to stand in that long of a line for one train operation. (Both Mind Eraser and Batman were running 2 trains every time I walked past and each had maybe a 1 train wait.) I will definitely ride when I head back later this year.
  15. I've been leaving eggs in towns that have characters doing Whacking Day tasks or a bunch of the new decorations placed. So far, Homer running around with his stick seems to be the easiest to find. As for Lisa's task, I have only been sending her to Other Springfield.
  16. ^ While watching the POV, does the recording tell riders to put their hands and feet straight out in front of them? If so, I think that may be the only time that I've heard a ride safety announcement that doesn't actively encourage holding onto the restraints.
  17. I finally was able to see Sigur Ros in concert last night in Boston. It was an amazing show and it completely lived up to my expectations. I'm still trying to figure out a way into the Pink concert tomorrow night and I'm going to the album launch concert for New Kids on the Block on Saturday.
  18. I think I'm missing Kansas and Alaska. That said, my Michigan experience involves getting of I-80 in Indiana, driving over the border, and then driving to the next entrance on 80 and getting back on.
  19. 2012 - 39 new coasters thanks to a move to New England and a quick trip to Canada.
  20. I didn't see the "downloading updates" message today so I'm assuming the stop time was programmed into the update that turned on the stockings and gave the dialog mentioning the January 10 as the end of the Christmas event.
  21. A very delayed TR but here it is anyway... I spent a couple hours in La Ronde the day before Leviathan Bash in July and while I loved the park, I hated the operations. I didn't get a Flash Pass because I didn't want to spend the money and the crowds looked light enough that I thought I should be OK. For the most part I was correct and I think if I had paid for one for the 4 hours I spent in the park, I would have regretted it later. I missed out on two of the Vekoma credits (not that I'm too sad about that) because the Boomerang and SLC were both closed. I was pleasantly surprised by not being bashed about too much by the Vekoma Corkscrew but not enough to ride a second time. Vampire was Batman (no complaints from me). Le Cobra was surprisingly fun considering I had heard less than great things about the smoothness of the old non-B&M stand-up coasters and the fact that maintenance was welding something in the brake run when the park opened. The nice pop of airtime in the front row was unexpected but definitely a plus. (Something I always wish the Riddler's Revenge's hill that used to jump Freefall had more of.) I only managed to get the right side (standing in the station looking in the direction the trains travel) of Le Monstre due to one train operation and somebody losing their lunch on the left side while I was waiting for my ride. On a side note, Flash Pass only gets you onto the left side of Le Monstre. If you want to ride the right track, you will have to wait in line. Goliath was a lot of fun and I managed to get 4-5 rides on it thanks to 2 train operation and a line that never really left the station while I was there. It was my first B&M mini-hyper and my first experience with B&M's lap restraints. Overall I liked the ride, but I wasn't sure where to place it considering I would be at Wonderland the next day riding Behemoth and Leviathan. Dragon was also a lot of fun and a complete surprise. I would have missed it if I hadn't decided to walk over near the ferris wheel to see if I could get any good pictures of the SLC. I guess I should do better research before heading out to new parks. I didn't try to get on the kiddie coaster and gave up on the Bobsled themed mouse after realizing it was 2 pm and I still had to drive to Toronto and that the line would take me an hour to get through. Overall I think I had a generally favorable outlook on the park. I thought that other than Goliath, the operations were pretty terrible. With the two train operations, the returning train would sit on the brake run for 30 seconds before the train ahead was dispatched but it wasn't really anything to complain about. Like many of the Six Flags Parks, I think that it could use a nice chunk of change spent on maintenance, paint, and general sprucing up (went to SFNE, SFA, and Great Escape this year, SFMM, and SFDK were former home parks). That said, I have multiple pictures of the peeling red paint on the former concrete dolphin (?) stadium you have to walk around to get to Le Cobra. The worlds fair modern design of the building was pretty awesome and I thought the peeling paint just seemed to add that much to the atmosphere. I will definitely try to get back to the park next year to try and get the missing credits and as part of a real visit to Montreal. Due to the limited time, I never actually made it across the river into Montreal proper.
  22. I bought the Funzo and still had earned another 1000 Santa Coins by the time the Stocking promotion started. With the number of donuts I am getting (and the lack of new quests and levels), I am back to devoting all of my time to Santa Coins.
  23. Supposedly there is a Stocking item that gives random gifts for Santa Coins (pictures can be seen on the EA Forum) but until the update gets pushed to the games, its just a rumor.
