  1. While I don't think I remember the quality of the airtime during my multiple rides on Sheikra a couple years ago (right before the floorless trains were brought in), after the first ride, I don't think I ever really considered it "intense." The first time I was lowered over the top of the first drop was probably the most intense experience of all of the rides I took that day, but once we dropped, the ride was pure fun. I think my friend and I both decided that with the exception of the big scary looking drop, it was actually a pretty decent, almost family friendly, looping coaster.
  2. I am not sure if I have ever hated Kong. I seem to enjoy it more when I don't have to wait more than 15-20 minutes to ride it. And I always find the front to back shuffle as you go through the first 3 inversions to be hilarious and slightly obscene.
  3. Heartbreak (Make Me A Dancer) (Freemasons Dub Mix) - Freemasons ft. Sophie Ellis-Bextor
  4. I managed to catch a Hammerhead the first time I saw it. I wasn't expecting to catch it given the problems I have catching some of the other rare fish.
  5. I just played for the first time in 2 months I think. I'm going to try playing a bit more just to get all of the new seasonal fish and bugs.
  6. I was very disappointed when I tried out one of the manual ones when they were popular because I had a chance to ride a powered one used at the NASA Space Camps at the Boy Scout National Jamboree in 1993. The powered one was amazing and provided a constant and very random spinning and flipping the entire time.
  7. ^ I'm still hoping that the lack of full King Triton's Carousel and Mickey's Fun Wheel queue makeovers is due to Disney wanting as many of the attractions open as possible during the very busy summer months and not a lack/re-allocation of funds. With all of the construction happening around that side of the park, Disney needs to have every available attraction open just to be able to theoretically keep visitors happy.
  8. The biggest reason the cola companies use High Fructose Corn Syrup has to do with all the tariffs placed on sugar by the US Government which greatly reduce the amount of sugar imported into the country and the price paid for it. From what I understand, the tariffs on imported sugar were designed to help sugar farmers here in the States stay in business and to help corn farmers by inflating the price of sugar so high that HFCS becomes a viable substitute to sugar when being mixed in with other ingredients. I have both the Pepsi Throwback and Mountain Dew Throwback in my apt because I do think it tastes better than the HFCS versions and I'm assuming that if enough people buy it, Pepsi will at least consider bringing it back either seasonally or hopefully permanently.
  9. From what I can tell in the pictures, I take it the fair is set up on the new park they built on top of the main sewage treatment plant for Barcelona. Can someone from Barcelona confirm or deny that? It looks like a pretty cool location to set up a fair.
  10. I have been avoiding my town since right before Easter. I think I played too much and now I'm not sure if I care enough to try to clean up from a month of neglect. I'll probably check it out sometime soon. I guess I've also been very busy with Pokemon Platinum and I think I almost prefer to play on my Nintendo DS because I can go anywhere to play instead of sitting down and dedicating time to turn on the Wii.
  11. I'm hoping the lack of new queue building for the Mickey's Fun Wheel has more to do with getting the ride open for the summer than running out of money. From the various photo reports I have seen, it looks like they were working pretty hard just to get the wheel re-opened and with the amount of scaffolding that was on both sides of the wheel, any construction on the new queue structure would have had to wait. Hopefully, Disney will close the ride again this fall to start construction of the new queue building as the existing shade structure essentially cheapens any work they have done to the rest of Paradise Pier.
  12. Sex Shooter - Cahill
  13. Dance, Dance, Dance - S Club 7
  14. I know there has been a lot of talk of the Arrow Pipeline Prototype here so far, but I was more impressed with the footage of Colossus pre-modifications (first 4 minutes of video 1). After riding Colossus again at WCB, this video really shows the difference between the "old" Colossus and the current version. I can just imagine how much more thrilling Colossus was before the lift was slowed down and the track was re-profiled.
  15. Love Etc. - Pet Shop Boys
  16. I am an Eagle Scout and I would have had a palm but the merit badge counselor for the last badge I needed was being a jerk and wouldn't sign the requirements even though I had completed everything. (Something about if his son was too lazy to finish it, no one would get it.) I never made it to any of the national scout camps, but I did go to the National Jamboree in 1993 and the World Jamboree in 1995 in the Netherlands. The site for the World Jamboree was located right next to Walabi Flevo so I spent the entire time watching El Condor. The main stage was right next to it (where the Intamin Hyper is now I think. I was never able to get over to the park because we had to have permission to leave the Jamboree site. I did make it to Tivoli and Bakken in Denmark during the tour we did before the Jamboree started.
  17. Festivale is today... Its another one of the Animal Crossing City Folk holidays that you have to collect a full set of furniture. I am going to kill Pave here soon... So far, I have... Pave Bed (3) Pave Closet (4) Pave Chest (1) Pave Table (8) Pave Chair (3) Pave Sofa (1) Pave Lamp (6) Pave Bureau (6) Pave Bookshelf (5) Pave End Table (3) Pave Floor (5) Pave Wall (4) After 8 hours of playing "feed the peacock candy" I finally got the missing piece of furniture. If anybody needs any of the pieces I have extras of, let me know. I won't sell them for a couple days.
  18. So In Love With Yourself - Dannii Minogue
  19. Happy Up Here - Royksopp
  20. Fascination - Alphabeat
  21. Rue De La Paix - Zazie
  22. ^ Yes. I'm in Reno, Nevada and I guess my "home park" is SFDK as it is the one I seem to end up at the most.
  23. Katie Price and Peter Andre - A Whole New World I bought it just so I could say I had it in my collection. I have no shame in admitting that I have CDs from Spice Girls, Aqua, Steps, S Club 7, Backstreet Boys, 'N Sync, and Britney Spears.
  24. I'm gonna try to do this. I had to reload my itunes library a little while ago so my play count and ratings all disappeared. #1 is the web stream for GaydarRadio in the UK so that doesn't count. Starting below, my top play count tops out at 8. I'm doing top 12 because Alphabeat seems to have taken over. 1. Boyfriend - Alphabeat 2. Fantastic 6 - Alphabeat 3. Love Letter to Japan - The Bird and the Bee 4. Quicksand - Britney Spears (should have been on Lady Gaga's album since it was just a Britney bonus track) 5. The Loving Kind - Girls Aloud (Pet Shop Boys wrote it with Xenomania for GA) 6. the rest of the "This Is Alphabeat" album - Alphabeat 7. Made of Glass - Kylie Minogue 8. Never Ever & All Hooked Up - All Saints 9. All Day Long I Dream About Sex - JC Chasez (still better than anything Justin Timberlake ever did after 'N Sync) 10. Human - The Killers 11. Christmas Tree - Lady Gaga 12. The Fear - Lily Allen
  25. I got my tax refund yesterday so I just sent in my order for a black zip-up hoodie and a couple DVDs.
